Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Great to see Niasse grabbing a goal for Senegal it was a tap in but if anyone is interested in seeing it it was the second

http://youtu.be/s0znO6FZexo

Question is though when are we going to give him a proper run out?. Aside from the fa cup there isn't much for us to play for this season so he should definitely be given a couple of chances to start up front

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Doubt they will bench rom to start him. More likely want rom to go all out for the golden boot, that will add ££££££ s to any transfer fee.

Considering our home form is diabolical, I'd play Niasse up top along side Lukaku.I'm bored with the constant use of two defensive midfielder, when one will do at home, and we can attack with an extra striker.

I agree dentielad I've been sayin it 4 weeks now we need 2 strikers along side each other everyweek playing niasse an rom just might change roms mind and stay.

Mr Mosiri now is the time to show us supporters just what your plans are. Tell Rom he has a contract and is going nowhere because you plan to build a team good enough to get into CL. And that won't include freebie geriatrics from Man U. Explain to the manager that we are not Wigan and so we don't need to buy from lower leagues anymore. Invite Jose round for a drink, get him pissed and sign him up. We apparently already have half the players he wants anyway. Do this and you will have found a place in blues hearts forever.

Hi Woburn good post, Guernseylue.

Thanks GB I know it's not likely, but I believe if he wanted it to happen then it would. Just play to Jose's ego, remind him of just how special he would be if he were the man who led the people's club back to the top.

Disagree with not signing players from lower leagues. There are a few hidden gems. Look at what vardy done for 1. Why spend 30mil for a player when you can get one just as good for the fraction of that price.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Mar 2016 22:47:44
Have to disagree with the comment about lower league players. Although we obviously have the ability to look elsewhere, we should not overlook that opportunity. There's a lot to be said about a player who would rather get game time at a lower league than sit on a bench at a bigger club.

28 Mar 2016 23:32:39
So we just carry on buying cheap and hope for the best then. No buy quality now, then we can feed off the so called lesser clubs, instead of them feeding off us. I can imagine the conversation. Rom don't go we have just bought a 19 year old from Leeds and one day he might be great?

29 Mar 2016 00:05:01
I have to admit, I love a bargain. The more Coleman's we buy the better for Everton F. C.

Lennon and Del boy although not bought off lower leagues, as far I know were around £5m. Del boy first half of the season, Lennon second half. How cheap do they look?

Jagielka didn't he come from championship? Baines? Not sure. I definitely wouldn't say no to lower league players. Look at Austin, wasn't he playing amateur football not too long ago.

Beckford, didn't we sign him on a free and then sold him off for a couple of mill or £5m or something. No harm there.

I like your desire Woburnblue and would like to see Jose at Goodison. Just my business side coming out when I say I like a bargain. Good for the books.

My take on this is that every succesful side buys and finds players from every angle. That includes lower leagues, foreign leagues, a good youth policy and also expensive signings from English and foreign clubs. I would suggest Coleman and Stones are great examples of signing from lower leagues although Coleman was admittedly from Ireland lower leagues. The bottom line is we should be trying for more players of this quality. My problem with Carrick is 2 fold. Firstly he is injury prone. and at 35 years old is likely to become even more injury prone over his remaining career, that's what happens to players and why they retire! Secondly, RM seems to like signing midfielders who do not score many goals. He is loading our squad with them. This means we rely on other sources for our goals. I have said this many times and if/ when Lukaku goes, the chickens will come home to roost. I list: Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Cleverly. These 4 players will NEVER score more than 5 goals a season between them if all 4 played in every game. Add Carrick to this lot and the problem is further compounded.

The worst thing I have seen is when Martinez took Lenon off and put Niasse on when we only had 10 men that was the time I thought Martinez has to go. Then again we have seen some of the best attacking football we have seen in years. The obvious problem is defensive and for me that all started although gradually at first when David Wier and Alan Stubbs left. we need to get one of them back to sort this defence out. This is my first post so be gentle.

It's a good point about granchester. I think I read in the echo that he and elstone have something like 11% of the club between them (feel free to correct me) . I understand that granchester is supposed to be worth over a billion pounds. now the naive question. what would granchester's return be annually from Everton. in the great scheme of his wealth surely it would be relatively small given the number of shares? Or would it given the new TV deal? Just wondering what his being at Everton adds to the club as you never here of his involvement really. anyone have any idea/ thoughts?

To be fair doesn't every Manager bring in his own staff as a rule. In my own opinion, Moyes was a good Manager at our place and had a good assistant prior to Mr Round, never the less even given Mr Rounds failings (again my own opinion) Moyes took him to Utd and look how that worked out. Same is with Mr Martinez, although with his own lack of ability it only compounded the issue bringing all the same staff with him that took Wigan down.

Know he's not been a big hit at city, but, if Stones is to go their, would take Bony as part of the deal.
Think back 12 mounth or so, many people where saying, wish we had him, rather than Lukaku, so if the big man is determined to push through a move, 35m and Bony might not be a bad deal?

There is a piece of land to the left of the liver buildings with enough space, for a stadium and shops. There is a further strip of land just in front of it on the banks of the Mersey that would be ideal for additional restaurants.

I would plomp it down there.

I am wondering whether another part of Mr Moshiri's remit is the ground development, he has witnessed first hand the change at arsenal and will understand that a massive part of investment is creating a sound financial standing for the club and a new ground will reflect that.
I will be sorry if Lukaku, Barkley or Stones etc leave, however anyone has the desire and right to succeed in their given career. But remember no one person is bigger than the club and it will still be here long after they have moved on.
We will no doubt have new heroes to follow in their absence.

Lots of talk today about Rom going to Man U. I don't think this will happen. In fact I think if he will leave it'll be to either Real Madrid or PSG.

I don't think with 3 years left on his contract we would have to sell to any club not in Champs league, and I can't see any of the top 4 this season wanting to sign him or pay what we will ask.

So I think that if he leaves this summer it would only be to RM or PSG.

He has been mentioning Ronaldo recently so maybe he's looking to feather his best there.

Most Everton supporters are expecting a big change after we got a new shareholder. In my view things will happen a little slower than most would have liked. I don't expect any change in the Manager post especially if we win the FA cup for at least another year unless a very special manager shows interest in taking the position. Leicester have shown what a good manager and owner can do. In the meantime players will go and players will come in. Very few players are going to play for the same side all their careers, it's a money making business after all.
I believe that Moshiri will focus on the commercial side at first, we have enormous potential on that side and a new stadium will be high on his list of priorities. Everton can become a top side again but it will take time and we supporters will have to remain patient, let's face it that's what we have had to do for a long time. Of course I could be wrong, my wife has been telling me that for the last fifty-one years.
