Not to moan but is vlasic one of the 2 signings koeman wanted or is he a brucie bonus. if he is one of the 2 I doubt he is going to hit the ground running and bang in 20 goals and that is something we are missing I would love to see a proven goalscorer bought but see it as highly unlikely as teams won't want to part with 20 goal strikers this late in window.

there are rumours in my local today that we are ready to bid for andy carrol for £20 million i really think this would be a huge mistake he is no duncan ferguson i would love it if we bid £75 million for aguero WHY NOT we now have the money.

if Carroll ever stayed fit he would be a great signing for anyone. Never is fit though so wasting money. Aguero - come on man! Got to be realistic.

We should have had this sorted when arranging to sell lakaku - surely someone must have asked - who shall we sign in his place?

Do we still have Luke Garbutt on first team contract if so is he fit to play? So much potential gone quiet! Only have him and the young lad Robinson for cover if Baines gets injured. Unsure if we can recall Galloway? Baines getting no younger.

Robinson is well liked and once mori is back he can play there. Still, I think it has to be a priority once we get an st in. I'd really like some pace on the wing too but dunno of its going to happen.

If we don't get the striker in and with only 12 months on his contract I don't think koeman will be too happy about it and it will be a hard few months getting to January! We have a lot of games from now till then and dcl is the only one who looks settled in that position Sandro will take time to settle and Rooney will look even better playing off another striker. I just hope we don't panic buy too ed as we will be in the same position next year the board and the manager are really in a catch 22. I still think we should've went all out for dembele from Celtic but if I rember correctly think ed002 said he was keen on a move to us don't know why when he probably be the main man for us.

I will reserve judgment till Friday morning re our overall transfer window BUT in my opinion no matter how well we have done so far it will be a very very long 5 months later f we having known Luk would be leaving we had no irons in the fire .
To be honest I am now panicking because how can we if nothing happened and only 48 hours to go .
Football is about scoring goals and EFC have had more than their fair share of top strikers!
Who are we going to get
I think RK will be beside himself if we fail to land this target whoever it is.

Blue, in relation to Besic, my point was, RK selected him, so he must have thought that he could do a job. Clearly, he didn't play well on the day, 16 months out or not. We've all been moaning about having too many midfielders, but with the run of games that we've just had, we still struggled to put a decent midfield on the pitch. I watched RK's press conference today. He was a little coy when asked about Barkley. Seems nobody wants him? I think there'll be a few going through the exit door aswell and hopefully 2-3 more coming in.

A big thank you to all the Eds on here, some say good cop bad cop for Ed02 and Ed25, Each answers in their own way, one with banter, the other straight to the point, I think both put up with a lot of us whinging, venting our outbursts etc, some want to believe the tabloids over the Eds, but here we can pick up rumours, let off steam, agree or disagree, but without this site we would have to rely on spotting at jla, finch farm etc, so keep up all the good work Eds, 2 Days remaining, time to dig out your tin hats Eds and prepare for the incoming barrage before the window closes.

I've spoke my mind to Eds on here in the past, even backed fellow posters, I just think sometimes we let our emotions get the better of us and sometimes Eds included type before we think, I've posted then an hour or so later thought hmmm if only I could delete my post, anyway, love the banter on here, lots of knowledgeable Blues and do not envy the Eds in the next couple of Days giving a response from all the extra spotting, rumours and paper nonsense, answering the same question over and over again, anyway spotted Costa in Liverpool, so I popped in and had a Capuchino.

Don't no what anyone else feels, but time is getting short now to bring in a too striker, bony is sitting at city surely we should get him, I just can't see anyone else letting there top strikers go, after spending big on gilfi now sure how much we have in the bank, I think if we did we would of put in a big bid by now, slimani is another, ok the Cardiff lad has been mentioned but can he step up, think this is a gamble and already have sandro to bed in, the 2 I've mentioned have played and bony for one at Swansea was fantastic and holds the ball up as good as anyone.

No great pace tricky but how many good games you seen him play since villa bought and sold him.
I think lookman is very similar but the kid will learn, I would like him to go out on loan if he is not going to play many games. We have to look at his development, he needs to play football week in week out, Dowell will benefit this year from it.

1) We can afford it.
2) We have Koeman who is by far a better manager than Klopp.
3) He wants to leave for a bigger club
4) We could really rub our wealth in their faces.
5) He would snap our hands of to play with quality players instead of the dross at Liverpool.
6) He would be good cover for when sigurdsson is injured.

I think a player like Costa should be playing at a big club. when europes big 5 come calling it's hard to turn down Barca. Real. Bayern psg and Everton. every other club is just a stepping stone to the big time I am just glad we are now 1 of those top clubs that world class players want to join.

Its a giggle now but 2 years time, if we keep steadily moving in this direction, it would taken seriously!
That's the reality of where the club seems to be heading.
Also blues need to be patient.
Todays football demands instant results and its so unrealistic to think that 5/ 6 new signings will hit the floor running.
I personally think it will be at least october before we start to see this team gel.
Chelsea last year was 5-0.
This year 2-0.
As for players i remember nick barmby was awfull for 2 seasons and we all stuck by him and then he was player of the season. Ok it ended badly but it shows the difference between fans then and now.
Be patient because you cannot rush perfection.
