I'm a little confused about Joe Anderson's latest remarks about Bramley Moore Dock, the 10 Streets project and the city's bid for the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
Is he saying if Everton get a new stadium at this location it will form part of the bid for the games (which in my mind reads it will host some of the events) or are there also plans for a separate sports stadium specially for the games?

Agreed, because no way on earth do we want a Stadium with a running track. G is great because we tower over the pitch which gives that amazing rocking atmosphere, and brilliance under lights.

{Ed003's Note - If designed right it will be fine after any athletics like The Etihad and not like The City of London fiasco which was not designed for being used as a football stadium afterwards.}

Know what u mean as per Etihad, as i was there for Commonwealth games but from what i'm told the atmosphere now is still poor. Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe just to do with the Citeh support?

Think idea is based on Celtic Park and how they were able to put temp running track in and back out in a few weeks.

It would make the stadium more expensive but the stadium could incorporate retractable seating, there is a story on newsnow that shows how it could be done.

So in the cold light of day I must say a draw was probably a fair result last night. Had both keepers not been on top form the game probably could have ended 3 - 3.

Isn't it amazing what a difference 12 months make. 12 months ago we had no Moshiri, Martinez who was phenomenally bad, bought a dud for an absolute fortune, who couldn't get a kick in a stampede, won 6 games from 23 Matches, no cohesion, no team unity, no fight, fringe players playing regularly and playing terrible, fearing relegation, no future, no light at the end of the tunnel, supporters always booing, no want, no give, no heart, no money, no future. Squad of pensioners, bugger all youth, no direction, doom and gloom, nightmarish, fear, scared, frightened and apprehension. Well on the 27th of February, I as an Evertonian will be celebrating and celebrating hard. Moshiri day. ( I hope all Evertions do) All of the above, were washed away the day Moshiri, bought this club. From the bottom of my heart Mr Moshiri, I will forever be indebted to you, for saving my great club from what we could have been this season had you not invested into us. Thank you!

Relief is what a lot of us are feeling at the moment. I mentioned relegation over the last 2 seasons under RM's rule. some shouted me down for it. but I firmly believe that he had lost the dressing room and was panic buying with Niasse. The whole club was sliding and I for one really worried over 2 seasons ago. As you say, Moshiri has made some astute decisions so far. let's hope this improvement actually accelerates and we get back to the top asap.

Some good performances tonight. Davies, Barkley, and Morgan looked good. I really am excited about Lookman. Some of his movement is exceptional and the step up from league 1 looks a small one for him.

Got to mention Davies as everyone else is. He seems like the missing piece in midfield. He's a perfect link between defence and Barkley. He then stays with him to give Barkley another option instead of the usual give it to him and leave him.

Williams was annoying tonight though. His distribution was terrible. He kept giving the ball away with ambitious long balls when the short pass was a better option due to the wind. Defensively sound though.

Good point nonetheless.

I saw a few moaners on here. but we are starting to put a fine run together. I think 5 or 6 without a loss. A few runs like that a season and you are in the top group. We are not going to dominate every game just yet but it is important after thrashing Man City that you don't then throw away 3 points against a team around your group of teams in the League table. so we must not lose against the likes of Stoke, WBA etc. A draw away is an ok result. Performance. gritty draws are ok. Good summary BJU. I didn't see the game, but from what I have seen of Davies, I agree wholeheartedly. Dare I say an Osman replacement that we have been missing. but with better mobility. Not sure of his shooting technique yet. I would like to see him poponein from outside the box. then we have a real fine player.

He has Osmans balls Degsy. He was never bothered who we played Osman he just thought we are going to beat you.

I think this lad can go a long way and even more impressively he's got a few mates around his age who are likely to join him on his journey.

This season for me is a bit of a dead rubber but without the pressure of most other teams we can still achieve something. Even if it's just the promise of us taking a step up next season and genuinely challenging for things.

I loved Osman but Davies is much better he will be international for many years I would think.
Davies can be really great, I just hope we can hold onto him with Moshiri being around.

I agree milomj. Osman was tricky and created assists regularly but never had pace nor an engine. Davies has both. He is also still growing at that age, so in all probability will be quicker and stronger as time goes on. I don't know what his shooting is like (Osman had a decent shot) but if he has anything of a decent shot, he will become some player. Yes I expect him to be in the England team soon. I expect other topclubs to be in for him. let's hope he has more loyalty than a certain other player who was an Evertonian and a bit of patience while we get back up there.
