If transfer speculation of past Ancellotti players is to be believed to any degree, our midfield could get that overhaul with James Rodriguez and Adrien Rabiot being mentioned across various media outlets.

I’d be very excited to get just one of them.

Both would be sensational signings for us but i just can't see them happening - it's kind of like we got a dream manager, can we really get these high profile players too.
Although if reports of a loan appear then I'm inclined to be more positive. Get them in short term and sell them with our passion, just like Andre G.
Most likely signing for me is Zielinski from Napoli if we can strike a deal with the incredibly tough negotiator Di Lorentiis.

Rabiot is an exciting player for us but I'm a little concerned with some of the others and the age they are at. Rodriguez is 28 and so to Seri. For the money there is no sell on value really.

If Seri is in the 20m mark still, fine but James for 40m is a lot and will be 29 when we would probably see the best of him next season. However, he is quality.

I don’t see why everybody is worried about money and sell on value the money is not ours, as supporters all we should be wanting is a team no matter what age winning games and cups, if the board and management think the price is right for a 29 year old then that’s fine with me.

You get a top top manager eventually top players will start to arrive, then hopefully more follow, if this happens our youngsters can benefit as well here, I know it's always said here but patience and support is what we need, ignore the papers they ain't worth a dam, as for money it's not our concern it's someone else's.

It's not necessarily the amount of money. Hell they can spend 200m for all I care. However, 40m for a player that is going to be 29, have to adapt to the premier league, who's a winger where age tends to catch up with them a little more than other areas, doesn't seem sensible.

It'll be a player on huge wages again, like Theo and Sig, on the backside of their career. And wages is what we should be concerned about.

There are surely better investments out there.

Forget all that. Who cares? Usmanov is incoming in some capacity. So we can stop thinking of money.

One thing though. I expect solid gold seats at our new stadium now thankbuiu very much. Oh and heated blankets in every part of the ground and not just the Dixie dean area.
