Just wondering if any of the eds think we will go back in for gifi, or do you think it's been given the red card from swansea.

{Ed025's Note - its obvious they dont want to lose him BH and they have effectively priced him out of the market, if i was to put money on it i would say he wont be joining the revolution mate, but im sure others will..

Hi Ed, just being reported in the Echo that R K could leave this one till late in the the window any thoughts mate cheers, GuernseyBlue.

{Ed025's Note - that would make sense for us GB but not for the swans, in the end it will depend on how ambitious gylfi is i suppose mate..

Have to agree ed. I'd be surprised. and based upon our own clubs experiences, I think we should respect that decision. I am sure that the club will have many many targets, based upon all kinds of different scenarios. they have already started big and I'm sure we'll see quite a few more faces.

{Ed025's Note - its been good for us up to now jcl and i dont want us to bully teams into selling players they want to keep, there are plenty of other options out there and i firmly believe we have the right guys in place to recruit the right players to take us to the next level mate..

Totally agree with above statements. Expect the club to sustain its classy ness as we progress.

I would agree what is confusing though is I read one report and he's not for sale and another report and it's nearer £40m. If he's not for sale then we should step back unless that changes if indeed they want near £40m then there's room to negotiate.

I would suspect that all players are for sale at the right price. If a team wants to pay well over the odds then most teams will let the player go especially if the player wants to go. I think the move has to happen soon to give Swansea time to find a replacement. If it goes until the end of the transfer window I can't see him coming to Everton. If we want him we should pay close to the asking price and get him in now, if we are not willing to do that then look for alternatives.

Not fussed if we take other clubs players and annoy them, not our problem the clubs that have done it to us have obviously gone on to have success, why shouldn't we be doing the same? its about strengthening us not being nice, about time we became tough.

Dont no if its just me but i'd like to see ross stay with us he has bags off talent but frustrates the life out of me i would be sad to see hime go i think koeman wil be the best thing to happen to him giving him a kick up the a*** an could get the best out of him under martinez he got away with a lot of slacking an koeman has put is foot down on it an i think ross has relised an doesn't like it but i think he will sign an get stuck in but if he doesn't i think it will be a huge mistake in his career. I have give ross some abuse over the season but only because i won't him to get to the level we all no he can get to see wa happens a 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

This post is about 12 months too late unfortunately. If he can't up his game to impress his new manager then his head is not in it for me.

I understand what you are saying but let's be onst with what we had to play with last year we are back in europe. So in a way u could say we done well with the team we had an ross could thrive with some quality around him i still think we should give him 1 season give him a new contract an if it doesn't work well easy get 25mil plus for him.

Maybe. But there has been a contract on the table most of the season and he hasn't signed it so for me he needs to be sold.

I may be in a small minority but I also would like Ross to sign a new deal, he won't be viewed as the one to change games week in week out and to be fair he may spend a fair bit of time on the bench but he does have skills and offer something different to others we have and that we are looking at. I think he would thrive without the weight on his shoulders. There will be games when his skills will be useful and others when he will have to sit and watch on but with the wealth of talent around him I think he is worth keeping if things can be worked out.
Come on Ross be part of what is happening to the club you love and support! We are frustrated with you and this transfer saga but eat some humble pie sign the contract dazzle us with those skills and all will be forgiven! Just don't eat too much humble pie and get fat like me! Lol.

Love ross to stay as he's one of us, got no ill feelings towards him at all, it just hasn't worked out as we all would of liked . If he does stay but doesn't sign a new deal i fear RK may not play him, which would be a real shame. coyb.

Looks like I'm in the minority for this one also. Totally agree with Southern Toffee and Evocallum above.

Anyone know what's happening with Ross Barkley? I would like to see him sign extension and stay, although probably not first choice he could still be a valuable regular starter when we're looking for different options?

I don't think Ross can possibly sign his contract. Unless he's happy to sit on the bench and reap 100k+ a week. And I think everton would be foolish to offer that contract for the very same reason. If everyone is saying it's his agent that started all this not signing want more money rubnish. Then he needs to finish it also. He needs to find Ross a club pronto.
