Anyone else remember last summer when we were trying to get Rodallega early on? But couldn't afford him and they wouldn't sell?

He's on a free now, as is Fernandes. Them two with Rodallega flexible as a striker or winger and Fernandes could give that comfort by sitting with Gibson and letting Fellaini go forward along with Pienaar in wouldn't be bad business i think. anyone agree?

it says on caught offside that 'Everton hope to conclude a deal to re-sign Steven Pienaar from Tottenham after nearing the North London club’s valuation'. I hope this is true because he is the man that changed are season. not signing him will be terrible. P.S I know that caught offside aren't reliable.
what do you think?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

All the january signings changed the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Caughtoffside is one of the most unreliable sites out there. They were the ones who said Rodgers wants Fellaini!.

I suspect Pienaar will be at Everton come next season, but it is going to be a long and arduous battle between Spurs and Everton, so hopefully Pienaar can force the issue (seems to be doing it now) and we can land him for around 4mil, I have heard Spurs want 6mil for Pienaar.

Everton are looking at the young play maker Lewis holtby from shalke due to him coming out and saying it would be a dream come true to play for everton, Lewis's father chris holtby was born in Liverpool and was an everton fan then joined the army an was stationed in western Germany were he got married to his german wife then they had Lewis holtby and raised him as half and everton fan. And know it would be the perfect club to move to

Hugo Rodallega is now on a free after his contract expiring at Wigan .. Would take him as he knows where the net is, not exactly prolific but could chip in with 6-7 goals a season and wages wouldent be massive ..

After reports that fellaini is going to liverpool david moyes reacted and said he would accept if liverpool put up their scottish midfielder charlie adam aswell as some funds. {Ed025's Note - yes..adam + £30...or £25m without adam..

Believable2 Unbelievable9

I doubt it seeing as David Moyes is on Holiday...

heard that lewis holtby has said on twitter that he wants out at schalke!now we all know that he is one of us and has said that playin for us would be a dream come true!this kid could really add something to our squad gotta be worth an enquiry atleast!

toffee 4 {Ed025's Note - dead right it is..

Believable4 Unbelievable0

If this is true we have to make a move the kid is a very good player

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see him at Everton, and given his contract has 1yr left, cant imagine it would take that much to get him, can play anywhere in the midfield, and I think he is a talent.

I hope we can pull it off, but even though he would be cheap, still out of our price range :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't he support Everton too?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he does

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently his dad is a die hard Blue who joined the army and got posted to germany. Lewis was born and brought up out there but inherited his dad's blue blood and is also blue through and through. Be a great acquisition if it happens though, boys own stuff for Lewis.

Eds when do you think Rodgers will start making changes to the squad e.g buying and selling players and what do you think are the chances of us getting Sigurdsson and Fellani? {Ed002's Note - I have no idea when changes will be made. As for the players - I would say doubtful.}

Why the hell is everyone talking about that guy fellani.. they guy is crap and way over rated..

Tree Blue {Ed024's Note - deluded as ever i see, fellaini is class

Believable0 Unbelievable2

England will have their hands full with fellaini today, he is one of the best midfielders in the prem now

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i think so too bez..

I love how this rumour was started by a website renowned for its BS and has snowballed, much like the Baines to United, it is completely false. Some Everton fans do shock me sometimes, cant wait for August 18 or whenever the league begins, just want to talk about football and none of tho nonsense, sign Pienaar, survive August, confident of Europe at seasons end.

Trying to find manny Fernandes on twitter... Anyone have his twitter name?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jus type in manu fernandes

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting to see he has recently started following the official Everton twitter page, I know it is a long shot, but fingers crossed, think he would be an absolute terrific player and would fit in so nicely in the midfield, could play as the deep lying midfielder alongside Gibson or be pushed up which is my personal preference, excellent passing, has the ability to dribble past players and has a cracker of a shot, things we have all seen from Manny in the blue of Everton.

Fingers Crossed!!

Agree0 Disagree0

He wont come,he's settled in eastern europe now

Just put a bet on Jelavic to be Euro 2012 top scorer. 40/1.......has to be worth a shout!.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Jelavic top scorer and croatia to win euro 2012 is £600/1 at ladbrokes

Agree0 Disagree0

Worth a few quid bet i think with the form jelavic is in

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Jela, but apparently he doesn't even start for Croatia! Unbeliveable if true. Wouldn't mind him having a quiet Euro's, the less attention to our players the better as far as I am concerned, just want to sneak under the radar and the hit the league running for once.

By the way all this claptrap about Swansea being a great passing team, can anybody tell me how many of these passes they made where in their own half..when they came to Goodison it was like watching Hansen and Lawro passing it sideways all night...Lies,Damn lies and ....

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I think when Everton went to Swansea and won 2-0 it shows that the style of football he plays can be stopped. Moyes put in a tactical masterclass and outsmarted Rodgers, Cahill sat on the anchorman in Allen and shut him down and then forward pressure to rush them made them completely useless.

Although Rodgers is a decent manager, think he can be found out, they were found out towards the end of the season, and really the foundations of Swansea was built by Martinez. Interesting choice, so much for Ayre saying just how prestigious the manager position is at Liverpool.

Gotta love Rodgers' attitude, already continuously referring to the past of the club blah blah blah. Perfect fit for the club, cant wait to finish above them again next season. And then Moyes will probably see yet ANOTHER Liverfool manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Give Rodgers some respect he has done well for himself

Arteta & Lescott bought for 2.5 and 5million, sold for 10 & 22 respectively. The Fellaini saga is completely incomparable. He was bought for big bucks (in our case) and therefore to suggest he will leave for anything below 28 million is absurd. Felli is our linchpin and future, we will not sell. Joey

Believable2 Unbelievable0

And hes just signed a 5 year deal, hes going nowhere

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a bit worried about his father, he is a massive influence on Marouane, and he isn't the biggest fan of Everton. But I think at the very least this summer he will stay, although without Champs League footy, it is going to be hard to keep hold of him for much longer, the lad is a quality footballer and if he has another season like he has just had, I can see the likes of Madrid, United come a knocking for him.

The red-noses in work aren't too happy with me telling them that their new manager is nothing more than a puppet to be made a scapegoat of when it turns out they are still sh*te!

I may sound like a bit of a traitor but I hope Belgium destroy England tomorrow night! Their team are potent as hell and England need a good kick up their arse to realise they are actaully not the best team out there.. I also hope Henderson starts too so the whole nation can see that he is about as useful as a hot steamy turd.

ToffeeJack. {Ed013's Note - Thats harsh, England need confidence, not a drubbing before a tournament! They already know they are underdogs and it may work to our advantage for a change}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

I understand but it still will not change my opinion, I have been let down too many times watching England play simply no better than dreadful and if god is my witness I will eat my own underwear if I am proven wrong.

ToffeeJack. {Ed013's Note - One day it will happen, when, I don't know! We still have to support the lads, even if they are garbage!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm belgian, and we're not that good. Yes, we've got great individuals, but our players seem to not be able to play at there level together. And on top of it, we will have to play with a whole new defense due to injuries, and it is already our weakest point. Honestly, I think it will be very hard to beat England.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know I'll get a lot of stick for posting this & that the Ed's always say that this is not a grammar or spelling test site, but that last post by the Belgian guy - the spelling & grammar were so much better than most of the ones by us Brits! Sad indictment on this country's education system. OK, rant over, it's just one of my "Room 101" subjects.
Good luck to all the international blue boys, & please, please stay injury free!!
Toffee Tezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just want Cole and Terry to be ripped apart to make space for Baines and Jags, I would be happy with felliani playing pretty average in this one because we don't need any more clubs after him than there already is
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the Belgian guy, and thanks lol. About spelling & grammar, I think it's easier to try to respect it when it's not your mother tongue. I speak french, and I know a lot of people who write better in english or dutch than in french. Actually, the only thing that I find a little weird about this site, is that guys here can't spell the name of players correctly. I mean, you're supposed to be fans, supporters, you should at least know how to write the name of the players of the team you love (except maybe for Stracqualursi lol).

Agree0 Disagree0

Although England have disappointed in the past, and in spite of the squad having an unjustifiable " red bias ", I think we all should give Hodgson's England our backing. I just hope that he tells Gerrard to pass to Baines occasionally!

Agree0 Disagree0

I fully agree with the Belgian guy. The poor spelling with regard to our own players names is very frustrating. Here is my 11 :- Howerd, Hibart, Baynes, Jagelka, Hightinga, Felaynee, Gibbsen, Peenah, Kayhill, Ozman, Yellavich.

Agree0 Disagree0

The one that cracks me up is "pinear" instead of Pienaar
