Would love to see loftus cheek join us tbh looks quality and a big lad who can hold the ball and make stuff happen.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed0333's Note - I don’t see the big fuss about this guy mate, I really don’t. I know people think he’s special with all the ballack comparisons but I don’t think I’d want him at Liverpool.

02 Jun 2018 22:06:27
I agree ed. Not seen anything worth shouting about.

02 Jun 2018 22:49:19
Everton or Liverpool ? Have we got the right ed on here?

{Ed0333's Note - We don’t discriminate. So every ed regardless of their affiliations will edit all the sites. But even I wouldn’t want you to get stuck with Loftus-cheek 😂

02 Jun 2018 22:56:08
Didn’t Barkley get ballack comparisons? Don’t think they mean much in the grand scheme of things.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed0333's Note - Did Barkley really get compared to Ballack, who by Andrea Bocelli?

RLC is a quality player, and he is only going to get better. Would love him at our club.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jun 2018 14:54:43
He's better than what we currently have in centre midfield, and surely improving on what you currently have is one of the main criteria in a transfer.

RLC the type of player were screaming out for, gets the ball can hold it and push us forward.

I think it's vital that, as fans, we don't get too carried away as this only fuels the negativity when things don't go to plan. We need to learn from the false dawn of last summer, things take time to come to fruition, all the teams that have come into money have taken time to break into the leagues elite.
Whoever we get rid of and whoever we bring in, it will take time for some, as we seen with Sandro and DK, to get up to speed with this league. We are, once again, a team in transition and will need at least two windows to put together a squad capable of catching the big guns. I'm not entirely sure about Silva being the right man but I will support him regardless in the hope that he proves me wrong. The biggest transfer for the club, imo, is getting in Brands and I'm excited by what he can do at the club. Our biggest mistake was putting a head scout in this role in the form of Walsh, it was obviously too big a job for him. Now we have someone with experience that will hopefully see us kick on. Looking forward to seeing who we will sell and who we will buy now that the backroom and board have had a revamp.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

02 Jun 2018 20:09:18
Agreed mate.

Agree1 Disagree2

02 Jun 2018 21:57:54
Spot on BP. Personally, I think it will take at least 3 windows for us to challenge the top 6 then another two to kick on from that.

The important thing now is for this new set up to bed in and get used to each other. It's almost like a brand new club as there are new people in every major position.

So patience is the main requirement from everyone including us fans. It doesn't though mean we can't get excited. 😉👍.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed0333's Note - the most important signing for you has been the Dutch fella upstairs he will get your house in order build solid foundations and you can only prosper from there. The new stadium will amplify your status I’m sure. All in all exciting times ahead mate.

03 Jun 2018 08:38:24
I agree its not going to happen overnight but the sacking of Sam and the appointment of Marcus followed by Marco (don't forget Marcus was involved in his appointment) are causes for optimism.

There is a lot to put right and it will take at least 2-3 seasons probably so the patience of all of us will be tested but at least I'm going into next season with hope in my heart. Something that I had lost last season

I totally agree ED. Walsh as head scout at Leicester would have gone to someone " hey I've scouted a load of players let's take little look" then someone would have filtered out the best. As DOF it was him doing the filtering which he is clearly balls at.

Brands on the other hand has been the filter at his other clubs and therefore is a better fit as DOF.

Plus he clearly has an idea of the financial side of things and the organisation and structure development part of the role.

Our new CEO also seems like she has real enthusiasm for the club. She has been nothing short of sensational since being in charge of EITC.

I sat next to Elstone a couple of times at the match and he never came across as a massive fan of the sport. More there out of duty than any real love and devotion. I won't knock him because he had limited resources but our new CEO looks like she has real passion for the role and club.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Elstone was only there to make money out of the stadium project, he came in purely to do that, then got stuck when it never panned out the first time around in Kirkby. He had never intended to be involved with the club for as long as he was.}

i don't see the point in maddison, 42 league games 14 goals 8 assists when we have dowell already at the club 31 games 9 goals 4 assists and he is younger than maddison.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

02 Jun 2018 15:32:12
Don't know if Dowell's up to it yet mate lot of Forest fans said he was a bit lazy and would just disappear in half the games.
I'd say loan him out to a prem team for a season and see what he can do.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 21:52:55
Dowell was a quality player in a very average team. He has all the makings of being a top player for us.

Now listen boys and girls this comes straight off the press of a in the know twitter super agent who has a mighty 6 followers (drum roll) we are looking to sign Garath Bale 😂😂😂😂 I laughed at him and he replied my source told me Moshiri wants a marquee signing and Bale is it 😂😂😂 I have had to explain that his wages at 350k week would destroy us on the FFP front looks like silly season has arrived.

Don’t forget to add in Lucas Torreira as well lot of reports linking us with a move and a £22m release clause right sort of age as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 16:44:02
Not convinced Arnautovic is one we should be looking at he only really turns up in 5-6 games a season.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 17:02:47
I like him but only really appreciated him this season at WH.
Shame we missed out on him.

I thought he had a pretty good season considering he was playing for a horrendous team. 100% best player and he seemed to play great against the top 6. Certainly they'd be relegated without him.

The only negative for me is that he chose WH over Us. Lack of ambition for the football but obviously the lure of London was the difference?
Makes him a bit of a lone wolf with a question mark over his loyalty.

Would make us better though.

02 Jun 2018 17:04:57
Good shout on that one southerntoffee, a lot been said about this player, if we could get him would be a fantastic bit of business.

02 Jun 2018 22:02:47
He's an outstanding player - when he wants to. Maybe he just needs an ambitious club with real expectancy to be able to deliver.

The money being talked about is stupid though, 50m.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 23:48:58
I do agree when he turns up he is outstanding but just doesn't do it enough for me. If we do get him I will be more than happy if he proved me wrong.

So manager is out the way along with all the other changes being done. That means one thing left. PLAYERS!

So who do want in and who out?

I can't remember who put the post up the other day but I 100% agree. We have to wipe the slate clean with the current bunch.

am thinking
carvalho
lassales
Maguire
someone like huerrilo gomes as cover
and michy bat or maybe roll the dice with bas dost with them and possibly a LB even tjo i rate robinson we could be major force this year.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 11:16:29
I’d trim down on the defensive midfield as there’s no need for the amount we have, it’s ridiculous. Then I’d add goal scoring midfielders and wingers.

We can’t blame the lack of goals just on SA.

If Sigurdsson gets played in the number 10 role and we replace Bolasie with Lookman. Then get a pacey striker we could do some damage. Between Gueye, Beni and possibly Carvalho we could have plenty of midfield security for the back 4/ 5 depending on the system.

Then go back to Burnley and sign the correct defender this time and we’ll pretty much win the league.

Just saying.

COYB Better not bitter 😉.

i would even take ben mee, es so underrated keane played next to him lokked great got called up to england then tarkowski plays with him looks great gets called up to england, do u see the pattern there haha.

02 Jun 2018 11:23:08
Carvalho is a must for me. He's not simply a defensive midfielder, his passing and dribbling stats are impressive too. He could link defence and attack.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 13:17:29
Agree with you there Blue Tommy, Carvalho is one we should target. Younger version of N'Zonzi but has a bit more bite about him. I've seen us linked with James Maddison but would like to see Dowell given a chance, but Maddison was top of list for chances created, 124, not to be sniffed at.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 16:04:37
Carvalho
Lascelles
Maddison/ Ziyech
Lozano
Vardy
Joe Bryan

Add tehm to the mix and we could give anyone a game.
Prob 120m+
Make some decent money back off Bolasie, Scheids, Keane.

Agree0 Disagree1

02 Jun 2018 16:38:56
For me the outs would be
Robles, Schneiderlin, Williams, Bolasie, Mirallas, Martina, Rooney, Funes Mori, Niasse and McCarthy.
If a decent offer came in for Besic from Boro i would consider it, and similar with Klaassen if a good offer came it i would seriously consider it
If Baines wanted to move to the MLS i would let him, been a great servant and i would go for Tierney or Aaron Martin as a replacement. Rose would be another option but bit pricey for the age.
Would probably look to get some game time for Beni, Kenny and some other youngsters on loan
I'd bring back Lookman, Ramires give them both a chance to prove themselves.
Calvalho for defensive midfield and/ or Lucas Torreira
Maddison would be a great addition and so would Lozano
Not sure on CB but if we could get the Newcastle lad that would be amazing

Looking forward to seeing what Silva and Brands do though.

i dnt get why people don't think we can be successful in the short term and think its gunna take years to turn squad around?
if we can offload i would say as many as 10 players this window
lets say
: mirralas
: williams
: bolasie
: robles ( i would keep him but think hell go)
: martina
: besic
: sniderlain
: rooney
: mori
: stek

replace those with
: a back up gk?
: 2x CB
: carvalho
: a good quality forward

bulk out the squad with youth like Lookman Vlasic Dowell Kenny Connelly Davies Holgate Beni Robinson then i see no reason why we can't compete this year for top 6 definitely top 4 maybe?

sorry for the long post just thought i would give my opinion have faith blue boys and let the good times roll

I think that's pretty much the plan Johny

I hope to see a lot of outs and 4/ 5 high calibre players in.

I'd think that they'd also want another 2/ 3 big signings in Jan too.

We have some very capable young players who really need to be given a go. Otherwise a lot of those should be moved on loan or permanently.

02 Jun 2018 14:07:02
I really hope the youth get a fair chance this year. We have so much potential and we won't have to spend a fortune to sign them.

Silva's 'failure' at Hull was taking on a tram that had earned 13 points from 20 games. They earned 21 points in the remaining 18 games. That is an 80% improvement in performance. At the point Everton approached Watford last year, their points-per-game ratio was 43% better than it had been the previous season. While statistics like these are never the whole story, it's hard to claim he's anything other than an excellent coach on this evidence. He certainly was not a failure at these clubs.
Now. Based on last year's performance and the points achieved by those above us, we need a 28% improvement to finish 6th, a 43% improvement to finish 5th and a 53% improvement to finish 4th. Simplistic analysis, I know, but I think we've got the right team for the job.

So I've not been on here very much since a couple of weeks before seasons end, just a quick look now and then. Anyways, just noticed we seem to have lost Ed02. Whoever was responsible, you're a dumbass!

I'm going to start a guess related campaign to entice his return, and if someone gets it right I hope Mr Ed takes note and forgives us.

So. WHO IS ED02?

Travels alot, ridiculous knowledge on potential break away league, in the know with transfers and dropping hints about our noisy neighbours impending disciplinary sanctions. This makes me think he's a fifa bigwig. Then I remembered the references to being from USA, so.

My guess is you're Chuck Blazer. Whilst you're tucked away in a witness protection scheme (penthouse in Manhattan with the new identity of Horace Grossweiner) for turning rat on the mob (fifa) you have little to entertain yourself and so tease us with snippets of information then sit back and giggle as the site implodes.

Lol totally agree really miss ed 002 with his at times cutting responses the knowledge of all the eds is excellent but ed oo2 certainly was special it's a shame that thru the frustrations and anger that our teams performances produced we have sadly lost a good mine of information that we used to receive fingers crossed he will return lost count of the times I have openly chuckled at the responses and put downs he would come out with.

Agree1 Disagree2

02 Jun 2018 11:34:20
ED2 actually stated it was nothing to do with anybody on the page and it was something else that he did not disclose
he actually isn't giving any team transfer information but I do agree we all miss his knowledge and hope things get sorted and he comes back.

Ok guys, I hear what you are saying about negative posts and here is my response. As an Evertonian for over 50 years I have seen change come and go with many promises of progress and at the same time watch our noisy neighbours do exactly the same. but with a bit more success. However, once in a while we have achieved things and had the odd couple of years where we did win some trophies. All I am saying at the moment is that there seems to be this huge wave of optimism sweeping across our support. The same sort that happened when Martinez took over and again when Koeman took over. I had also experienced it when Walter Smith and Mike Walker took over. Having said all that, this new manager might be the bees knees and he might have what it takes to turn the club around. If I accept that he is a special manager and we are indeed making changes that mean we will progress, all I am saying is that the current squad is not sufficiently balanced nor good enough for him to make the changes in the short term that the optimism warrants. I would guess he would need 3 or 4 seasons to get us anywhere near top 4 never mind winning a trophy. My optimism is there. it is just restrained by a dose of realism. so I do hope we are going in the right direction. I just think it will take a lot longer than most Blues anticipate. And at my age. just like Grumpytoffee who I hope chips in here. we are running out of time to see this success that we all want.

Eh degsy aren't you forgetting something? If your scratching your head I'm referring to something at the end of your post there.

Agree2 Disagree0

02 Jun 2018 09:45:34
I haven't seen one post mention champions league, top 4 or winning trophies Degsy. Your memory is bloody awful as well.

Every single time with the exception of Fat Sam there has been a wave of optimism. Every single time without fail. That's what's great about our club and fans. That's how we should be.

Plus it has not been doom and gloom like you make out in every post.

Martinez 1st season showed why we wasted 6 or 7 years with Moyes by producing our best ever result in the EPL era. Moyes could dream of creating a team that played that type of football.

Koemans 1st season was spectacular after a bad start. We gained the seconds highest points and scored the second highest goals in the last 6 months of that season in EUROPE with only Barcelona producing more.

Stop hanging on to the negatives and look at what we can achieve.

Your optimism is not there Degsy and never is because you never highlight the positives ever.

You could have said. We have an unbalanced squad BUT we've got some great players like Sig, Cenk, Lookman, Gana, Coleman, Pickford, Theo, Keane, Davies and some wonderful talent to come in like Beni, DCL, Holgate, Hornby, Sammy, etc. If we add some quality we can see the team progress. However, I've never seen you do that. You've gone on about the people we need to replace, imbalance and how Moyes is only manager who has done anything which really isn't true. That's about it.

That's the difference in optimism and negativity. Without a balanced view you do not see the real picture.
