1-0 win with Keane scoring. Gueye to be sent off and Salah missing a penalty. Odds?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the same odds as shergar winning dancing on ice i think trev.. :)

03 Mar 2019 07:27:08
About a million to one but if you remove Keane as the scorer it would be about 3 to 1.

I'd love a win, and my goodness we are due one. But I'd take a draw, as long as it's us that equalises. Otherwise it will feel like a loss.

I will celebrate a draw.

Can only be a win for me Ace. We still have a slight chance at Europe, we haven't beaten them in 9 years and a win would potentially derail their title hopes. A draw is simply not good enough i'm afraid.

{Ed025's Note - i would bite your arm off for a draw BB..

It wouldn't be the worst result in the world Ed, i'm just desperate for us to break this hoodoo they have over us. The rot started with them this season, hopefully by beating them that's where it'll end!

I don’t disagree Bitterblue. I want a win as much as you. What I don’t want is to feel like we should of had something and got nothing, like the last game.

Expecting pelters for this but the biggest problem we have at present is Richarlison!

Not his fault but the manager's. he needs a rest and "plan b" is required.

Plan B being Lookman, Bernard, Kenny and Tosun.

If we start with the same team that we did against Cardiff then only a significant loss is on the cards.

He can also come up with that bit of quality to win us a game.
He has to start and if he doesn't perform then sub him off.
Bernard deserves a start over Walcott.

Why would he need a rest? They’ve just had 17 days off 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Why does he need a rest! He spends enough time lying down during the game. A young lad with loads of skill but not a team player.

I think we expect to much from him he is still only 21 and to young to be expected to carry a team. Siva is ruining him, hopefully a good manager can make Richarelson a great player if we ever get a good manager and he stays.

I personally want him to try his best and score goals. Which is exactly what he has done. He's scored goals when we were out of form as a team, but as soon as he has a lean patch and loses form the usual witch hunt begins.
He's 21 and is a huge talent.
As for Silva ruining him. How is he ruining him DC?
Silva brought him over from Brazil and if you hear Ricky talk about Silva he sees him as a father figure and is probably appreciative of the chance he has been given to play in the best league in the world and earn a good wage.
Hardly ruining him.

This is probably also an unpopular opinion but for me Richarlison isn’t anything special. Sure he’s scored a decent amount of goals and is young but, he constantly throws himself down, struggles to beat a man and his passing leaves a lot to be desired.

02 Mar 2019 19:32:21
He scores 1 in 2.5 games. And we don't need any of them in our side do we?

Against Leicester a young lad sat next to me, just kept shouting at Richarlison 'get up' and pass the ball. A skillful lad (if a 21 year old is a lad) he is but that young man next to me was spot on.

Just watching the debate and they're talking Leicester up as being the ones next season to push the top 6 and possibly finish the best of the rest by claiming 7th. I feel next season we have to be the ones to push for this, this season can be written off as a transitional season with the team being inherited by Silva add to that the size of our squad with players on the wage bill not in the managers plans. We need a good pre-season and a good transfer window with players coming in that suit the style Marco is trying to implement. We need to bring in a striker that is a no brainer add to that a RW and maybe RB and would even go as far as saying a creative number 10 who can unlock defences. I'm happy to persevere with Marco and judge him next season with 2 summer windows behind him.

Every upper mid table team think they should be the ones to do it tho.

The way things are shaping, it looks like we will finish 9th, 10th, 11th at best and even on current form round about 13th 14th. Brought in 7 players, some still say as an excuse for Silva, this is not his Team and others say it is an improvement on last season. So question for all of you, why is 8th under Allardyce with an inferior Team to this seasons unacceptable yet this Season with a superior Team round about 10th is acceptable under Silva.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Mar 2019 22:11:58
Allardyce has managed in this league for years and should know it inside out. His style of play and approach to games is out dated, but he should be able to get a team like Everton from 13th to 8th. He could never take a team higher though with the way he sets up. Moshiri and everton are looking for the answer to break into the top 6. Allardyce wasn't the answer. Silva may or may not be, but he has a better chance given time than Allardyce.
Last season only really Burnley looked like finishing 7th, this season quite a few more have spent and are challenging for 7th so between 7th and 11th should be within a few points.
