Anyone know how Lundstum is doing at Blackpool. They're bottom of the table, so I'm guessing not too well lol.

Also, McAleny. To be Loaned, Sold or Played? And is Junoir still alive?

{Ed003's Note - When the fans are not talking about problems off the field Lundstram is being singled out as one of the worst players ever to wear a Tangerine shirt - a bit over the top imo but he is not doing well.}

Ed03 or ed07, do either of you know how matthew kennedy is getting on at hibernian?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Sorry I can't help , Swan mate. I've only watched one full Hibs game and he started on the bench then wasn't used. I am friendly with a few Hibs lads so I'll find out what they're saying and get back to you tomorrow.}

Brilliant. Does that mean even trialists 1 and 7 are doing better than him? Goodness, some of our youths need to get their acts together.

{Ed003's Note - He's been awful I'm sorry to say.}

{Ed007's Note - Ed003 got a bit mixed up, he thought the thread was still about Lundstram. I got a text back from a pal there, chances are he's drunk if he's up at this time, but he said Kennedy's a good player but a bit lightweight. If that's the case he's better not playing every game in the Scottish Championship, our Premier League is physical enough but the Championship can be a bit like the WWE, and Stubbs will know that from his time as one of the best CBs I've ever seen playing for Celtic :)
The Hibs game I watched was against Rangers II at Ibrox so that's a particularly physical and tough game in a red-hot environment as you can imagine, if the lad is needed built up physically or toughened up mentally that would have been no place for him, the atmosphere or the opposition players would have chewed him up and spat him out. I'll let you know what else I hear buddy and keep an eye out for him in future, I watch Championship highlights and read the match reports, just not watch too much of it live, it can be hard going if you don't support either team.}

It's a sorry state of affairs for blackpool if their worst ever player,plays every game and plays for the full 90mins.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed003's Note - A very very sad state of affairs dentie he wasnt popular with the Yeovil fans either last season - maybe loaning him to sides that would obviously struggle isnt best for his development.}

Cheers ed, hopefully he will make it here

True ed003.Messi would struggle with 10 bad players on his side.I think if your in a side with another ten good players then it takes abit pressure off you.

{Ed003's Note - very true dentie.}

The only bonus for these young lads being loaned out to struggling teams is that it will help build character I suppose. Not the greatest thing we want them to come back with, I'd much rather they get a good run in a decent team playing good football and enjoy being in a first eleven. Blackpool has been a waste of time, their chairman seems to have lost the plot, judging by the way they started off this year. How can any pro club not be able to field a team of full time pro's? Think they changed manager a few times too. If anything it shows the youngsters what they could be facing if they don't knuckle down and make the grade with us

In general, it's good to see us trying to play good football, but sometimes, (like yesterday) we have a unfortunate tendency to over elaborate. You get wide, you cross the ball, not take 5 or 6 passes looking for just the right angle, then lose the ball, that kind of thing was happening all over the park. When your 2 or 3 goals to the good, you can afford that kind of show boating. PS. Baines is a great player, but since his miss against unt he seems to have lost his confidence in dead ball situations, perhaps it might be worth giving someone else that responsibility, if only on a tempory bases.

One of the poor things that's going on at the momment is the possession football were playing. Its great to have the ball but you watch your Barca's and R Madrids and they have loads of possssion but its quick at the right time. Our possession is so slow and pedestrian, the determination to give it to the Centre backs is fine if they've got someone to give it to. The gap between them and the next midfielder is alarming and why they dither with the ball between themselve, with no one moving or coming near to get the ball off them. They are so reliant on Barry being there, butt even if he comes to get it the Gap stays the same and so the ball is used around so slowly you can go for a jimmy riddle come back and not missed anything as were still in our own half or lost it trying to get it out tto the flanks where we are outnumbered due to Baines and Coleman being heavily tracked as they are our only danger. Need to get this sorted quicker, sharpr movement in the middle of the park will free the wing backs.

Agree mate midfield need to take pressure off the back four by demanding the ball and moving it forward. Other teams are more than happy to let us have the ball and wait until a defensive error, need to man up guys.

Got a bit worried about Baines yesterday. Every Corner he took hit the first defender (Bony), and his free Kicks were not even close. Barkley took one Corner in the first half and it caused havoc, then we reverted to Baines again for the rest of the game and it went back to the first defender or into the hands of the Keeper. Not since the days of Hinchcliffe have we had a decent Corner taker, there is just no anticipation when we get one.
Is Baines showing first signs of playing too much, with Europe, England and us this Season, i'm begining to wonder.

We haven't been scoring from corners for a long time Howie, off the top of my head I can recall Rom scoring a header in the derby last season. There may be a few more but I can't remember them! Arteta used to do the same, never get the ball past the first defender. With regards to free kicks, teams are nullifying his threat by putting the bigger lads in the wall. Still, you would expect him to test the keeper at least. As soon as BO is fit and ready, I'd expect to see LB rested for a game. It's a long season with the euro league games thrown in the mix

Gerard deulofeu once said 'when everton get a corner, it sounds like the end of the world', it used to, now its pointless, when we have a big man up top (rom) we play them short or near post, when we have eto (not so much of a big man) up top, we cross it, but it never beats the first man, we may aswell give them the goal kick instead
