benteke could join us from villa

Believable0 Unbelievable6

Not a chance mate Villa need him for their relegation fight.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will most likely be snapped up in the summer by Arsenal or Spyrs would love him here though the strength and skill of him and fellaini will be enough to scare any defence

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be brilliant, cant go wrong with Belgians these days.

I've had enough of the following posts on this site:
-My mates best friends dogs auntie toyboys brothers slags cats mum knows Fellaini
-jeliuik is ov 2 arsnl and fellini is ov 2 chelsi
-worst case scenario we go on a bad run of form and we get relegated and all our best players leave
-INS Holtby, Forren, Lescott, "Lebondosci", Ofoe, Chadli
OUTS-Heitinga, Jagielka, Howard, Fellaini, Baines, Jelavic,
Mirallas, Osman, Distin, Barkley
Youre not David Moyes you don't know what's going to happen
-I have a feeling Fellaini's played his last game for Everton, don't you?

Enough with the pessimism people!! Our best players won't be leaving in January unless we receive an astronomical figure in which case Moyes would be given a fair bit of it to re-invest. We're still in a good chance of making the Champions League, maybe even lifting the FA Cup, it's a good time to be an Evertonian, a time where Liverpudlians are in OUR shadow for once, so I'm struggling to understand the point in coming on this site with doom and gloom just to tell everyone that you think all our best players are off, we're going to get relegated and we'll bring Heskey in during the transfer window. Just be a little more optimistic lads, yeah? We're Everton aren't we?

Dave

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Ok then what can we put? Everyone needs to understand this is a RUMOURS site, some people.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bravo Dave, well said !

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I understand it's a rumours & banter site, but there's still no need to post the fact that you think our whole squads leaving and post things full of doom and gloom because this isn't a time to be full of doom as an Evertonian. And to the other poster who said bravo, cheers pal :-)

Dave {Ed025's Note - im with you dave...a couple in mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

And everyone needs to understand the difference between a rumour and a wishlist...

If we could get Darren bent I for one will be crying with happiness he's quality and proved he can do it in the prem
I'd also like us to get lescott and ofoe or whatever his name is, I think then we would seriously be stronger than utd team at present and there winning the league

All the best fellow blues long may be continue on the rise

That would do me nicely, and not so unrealistic. But this is Everton we're talking about here, where things never quite go according to plan. Here's hoping though, would be a cracking side.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good team, but Moyes won't sell Gueye. Also, Osman is too good to sit on the bench. And unless Gary Neville comes out of retirement, we only have one Neville................

I'd just like to wish all my fellow Evertonians on the site & of course the Ed's too, a really happy 2013. Personally I think 2012 has been a great year to be a Toffee - our team is now one of the most respected & admired in the country. That is in no small part to the work & efforts of DM & BK. We now have the best squad we've had in long time.
So, let's all look forward to a fantastic 2013.
Happy new year, everyone.

I really hope Moyes and Kenwright dont leave it till the last minute again like they normally do.It was embarrassing listening to BK on club website describing the farcical way we do transfer business.
We nearly never got Jelavic & Pienaar in the last window.
When we bought Felli they left it till last day and he was never a £15m player at the time but because we were desperate we paid over the odds. I dont think many other clubs were after him and not many people had even heard of him. Obviously his value has soared but at the time he was a £7m player at best.
This window could make or break our season.
I just hope they get it right.

stewillow

COYB {Ed025's Note - its a cat and mouse game ste, clubs are trying to get new faces lined up, before they let players go, its not as straight forward as people think mate..i would love us to move early, but dont bank on it!..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

OMG what a load of nonsense.. 'he was never a £15m player at the time but because we were desperate we paid over the odds'

What about congratulating DM and whoever else was involved for seeing the potential? Moyes would never pay over the odds for a player, and that point was proven by his reluctance to bring back Pienaar due to his age. (who we already knew was a class act and would bring unbelievable quality to the team)
Some people are unbelievable!!

Take a bow mate for the most ridiculous comment of 2012!!!

aflm78

Agree0 Disagree0

Aflm78 if you knew the facts surrounding the signing of felli you wouldnt think it was nonesense
It was the last day of the window and typically we had drawn a blank yet again.Moyes and Kenwright look at each and say "what do we do now?" moyes says " theres still the belgian guy and so off they go with hours to spare and try and do a deal.Liege would have been rubbing their hands.anyway we signed him with minutes to spare and at £15m.i wasnt the only one in the world to think that was top top dollar,

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes lots of people thought it was too much money. The key word being 'thought' and as we have seen since that was wrong and his value has doubled so doesnt that make it a good signing?

Moyes obviously saw something in him to have spent that kind of money and obviously BK trusted his judgement and backed his decision.

Yet because it happened last minute it was desperation? I dont agree with that.. It was a great signing money well spent on a quality young player who has since proven his worth. How can that be a negative thing?
We take our time doing business coz we dont have a lot of money to spend and certainly cant afford to just throw a few extra million into the pot just to get our man earlier....

aflm78

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes won't pay over the odds? Your jokin aren't ya. Yak paid£11 mill sold for £1mill, bily paid £10 mill sold for £4 mill, let pienaar go in his prime for a paultry£3 mill then buy him back for £5mill, people like you who think Moyes and kenwright can do no wrong make me laugh

31 Dec 2012 17:37:17
Not a rumour but I think if the money is available we should take a punt a llorente at the price £5.7m we would be stupid not to just the type of forward we need big and powerful and can score play him with jelly and put felli back where he wants to play as a defensive mid simples!

Eddy {Ed025's Note - i expect him to go for a lot more than that eddy..

sunderland fan here hope we can both do each other a favour on wednesday im not just saying it because your playing newcastle i actually really want yous to finish in the top 4 i think it would be great to see an old fasioned proper football club do it this year for a change all the best for the rest of the season. {Ed025's Note - cheers mate..

Some of you have criticised Kenwright on this forum. As a reminder check, can you see the Chelski and City Chairman crying at a game where it is highlighted that some former players have died this year? he is a great Evertonian, in Moyes and Kenwright we trust.

Jon

Believable7 Unbelievable0

A great Evertonian he maybe, but that does not make him a great owner.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a great owner though...It angers me the way people think because Kenwright does not have huge funds to invest in the club, that makes him a bad owner. Wake up and smell the coffee, everything he does is for the good of the club.

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - he is a very passionate man bitter...and he has my respect mate...he is one of us, and that works for me..

Hi ed are rumours true about lescott coming back and the takeover rumours ed keep up good work in 2013 eds gr8 work by all {Ed025's Note - lescott, will depend on city getting a replacement. no update on a takeover..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Lescott will not come, Kolo and Yaya Toure are on AFCON duty and Micah Richards is out until at least Feb. Unless City sign 2 CB's then it ain't gonna happen...

I wonder if we might do our ransfer business early this year rather than leaving them all until the last few days( as exciting as it is). We have 6 games in jan and with injuries we could do with sone fresh legs in time for the Swansea game... which will be a cracker btw

What a difference a year makes. This time last year I was becoming very disenchanted with my beloved Everton. We weren't playing the best football and were struggling in the league. The rumours about who was leaving were really worrying and unsettling and all in all things just weren't looking too good.
Fast forward to present day and what a turnaround in fortunes. Well placed in the league, albeit an unrealistic position, we should be higher up it, a great squad of players who play for each other and the badge and a very canny manager who has the full backing of the board and the fans. The future's bright, the future's royal blue.
Happy New Year to everyone concerned with our great club, may you all get what you wish for in 2013.
Moody Blue {Ed025's Note - i think we all wish for the same thing moody, have a good one yourself mate..

Ed are we still interested In holtby or has are interest died down now that there is a host of clubs interested. He's got to be a no brainier he would have a decent sell on price
Thanks
Eddy {Ed025's Note - we are still in with a shout eddy..dont rule us out just yet mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

We could still be monitoring his situation, just cause the BS tabloids don't want to give us a mention when linking holtby to clubs doesn't mean nothing! Half of what they write is repeated nonsense. But I must say at this time I really want him to come to us he's a top player but the chances of that happening ATM seem unlikely here's hoping though
Little Tim

Agree0 Disagree0

Really think this transfer window is so important to Everton if we can bring two in keep squad we have .i think moyes will sign deal , we can't stop thinking squad is good enough yesterday proved we are very close , no disrespect to hitzberger but I thought his position was crucial in defeat yesterday with Gibson havin injury problems a center midfielder is needed

Agree0 Disagree0

Makes sense to gt holtby n the belguim kid probably gt the two 4 under ten million .can't c hetingha bein here past the summer his wages would help towards the holtby package .the board needs 2 back moyes more than ever .show us they've got a business brain need them more than ever

Think someone needs to experiment with the merseyside goalposts and bar..Liverpool had it last season and now Everton. Jinxed. {Ed025's Note - but there is a difference mate..we get on with it, our neighbours done nothing but moan moan moan..it was embarrassing at times, and thats the difference you see..

everton fans should start backing anichebe, i think this season he has played well when he has been fit and in the team, he looks like he is starting to believe more in himself, looks unbeatable in the air and can score a few goals, people also need to realise ross barkley is only young and he is gonna be some player, lets not destroy these players by slateing them before they have started there career, i know most everton fans are top class but the 1s that slag the players off for no reason are not needed
school of science {Ed025's Note - your right school...i think when they pull on the shirt, they do get the support, having never been a big fan of vic myself, he seems to be knuckling down and proving his worth, so for me its a clean slate, all we ever want is commitment to the cause, and he is showing that at the moment...so good on him..

I think we're all too harsh on Naismith, yes he's not playing well but he's still recovering from his injury he got whilst playing for Rangers. When he's at his best and if he can continue pitching in with a few goals here and there, he will prove to be a great squad player in my opinion.

Hi, I can't agree more with all the positive comments made about the game yesterday, everton have become a team to be admired and scared of, I don't want to see any one leave in Jan and think the jelly man is still a top class striker. Just hit a dry patch. So let's get everyone back fit and in fighting form and hope this is the start of a new era at EFC. DM I take my hat of to u, proud to b blue cez {Ed025's Note - well said cez...we should all be proud of the way we have performed this year mate..not with just the tenacity and commitment of the squad, but the style and level of skill we have displayed..

personally i thought anichebe played very well today he won pretty every long ball and throw and started to throw his weight around with fellaini coming back for newcastle i would put him in centre mid and leave victor up front as i think he deserves a chance.
