At least Liverpool didn't get they're man :-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They've just beat us 4-0 mate I think we needed signings more than them.
And we needed permanent signings so we could build a strong team and win something isn't that what football is supposed to be about

Agree0 Disagree0

Didnt compare them to what we done. And wasn't happy that we didn't bring anyone in.

Think it's about time Elstone and kenwright tell the fans what happened to all the transfer money from recent sales, every business has to reinvest to move forward, why not everton?
WHERE is the money?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

01 Feb 2014 00:01:17
wages loan fees etc its not as simple as you think

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:48:35
Think we needed a signing if nothing than to pick the players up. don't know what's happened behind the scenes but Martinez said we would be finishing stronger. I rate jelavic and hettinga and He has bought in a unfit loan and a mcgready who I can yet make am opinion on. Will continue to support us with Everything but do fear that we will stagnate for the rest of the season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:47:19
If we don't spend in the nxt half hour bill an the other two pratts have to walk away an sell to someone who will spend money

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yawn. I'm not keen on Boy's Pen Bill but I'd rather him than Vincent Tan. would you rather play in red?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:46:02
Official everton FC statement nobody coming in good night

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:45:38
Just watched Martinez leaving Finch farm on ssn
Sorry boys but 7th is the very best we will finish this year after that
We needed a forward fit enough to walk onto the pitch, a centre half with a bit of pace as cover for Distan so we can compete with a simple ball over the top and a holding midfielder to cover Barry when he gets run into the ground

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We need all of those players, but unless we get any more season-long injuries we only really need abother striker. I agree that our squad depth is lacking but if most of our first team stay fit from now on we can still do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:45:35
Alright ed we all done now till the summer

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes mate..

31 Jan 2014 22:44:54
Bobby Ms gone home and as for "the chairman" and CEO not even seen too ashamed to show their faces because they might have to answer some difficult questions like WHERE HAS ALL OUR MONEY GONE? what's happened to the fellaini money? I'll tell you what happened to it 13 mil for Mccarthy 4 mil to loan lakaku same for Barry plus their wages oh and 5 mil for a safety certificate for Goodison

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think that we need to wait for the summer. From what I gather, Roberto was not keen to spend this window as he has long term targets penned in for summer. I'd rather we spent money on quality and bargain buys in the summer than wasted our money on players just to cover the injured now.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:44:40
poor deadline day only hetinga out very poor

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:44:28
Bobby just bin on tv driving out the gates

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:42:21
O well that's it then folks, Roberto's just given live interview on tv on his way home, he said heitinga has officially gone to Fulham & that's it now, business all done. so once again, just like the end of last years January window we have signed no strikers & have shown no intent in hunting down that champions league place!! Bill, it's very well signing mcgeady & an unknown keeper, but what about someone who can score goals & not continually miss chances & help convert more of our draws into wins? No chance now, 7th place at best which is no improvement on last season, prove me wrong please roberto! :-(

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:41:09
game over boys, bobby just drove away from finch farm, jonny out nothing in, really not happy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:38:50
You r a joke kenwright do the good think and sell up your holding this club back loan signing what a joke Fulham stoke palace etc making sighing ahead of us shame on u

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:38:43
Well that's it then all done! Jonny and jelly out mgeady, traore in plus baines signed a new deal! I'm happy with that we will do our business in the summer!
Big game tomorrow we beat villa and we are still in the chase for top 4!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No we're not

31 Jan 2014 22:36:51
Hietinga move was a free. Everton that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:34:39
Sky sport news, Johnny's gone

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:33:33
Johnny Hietinga gone. If we are to end the transfer window stronger than when it opened as stated by Bobby then we have to be signing someone. Otherwise, very sadly, our new hero of a manager will have let us down just 6 months on to his new job.
Bobby we are pretty easy going over transfers we know we are not loaded so don't bull poo us. Hope you haven't and you prove yourself again

Believable0 Unbelievable0

its not perfect but it could always be worse. I remember when you and your "contacts' said that Vitor Pereira was definitely our next manager. That was rubbish, and I don't think that ending the window less two fringe players (saving roughly £100,000 per week) is bad business or weakening the team. You're just looking at the horrific load of injuries we have unfortunately gained

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 22:27:34
All across the land this morning football fans awoke dreaming of new signings on dead line day
All Everton fans awoke and thought thank f@ck it's Friday another week over I can't wait for a pint!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:07:10
Come on bill get the moths off your wallet an buy someone on a perm not loan make my night

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 22:00:51
been watching tv for a while and not one mention of everton, I am worried as I think we defo need at least an am maybe st, we can not wait 4 weeks for injuries to clear our only owned strike is kone why not try buy now

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 21:49:56
No offense ed because you do a good job but I don't believe you know anymore than anyone else on here. So I feel that we still might get someone in even though you dismiss it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think that's fair mate. What has Ed025 got to gain out of not telling us if something is happening? I remember Ed025 told us about Naismith coming in weeks (2-3 weeks) before it happened. I don't know who Ed's info comes from but I personally believe he is more in the know than most on her.

I believe in you Ed! :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - cheers AL, but im just a purveyor of information the site receives mate..

31 Jan 2014 21:25:10
Hey Ed. Anything happening mate or is it looking a bit quiet. I still think there will be a last minute signing, there always is with the blue men. I think Bill will be sitting back, relaxing, getting off on the fact us lot are nervous wrecks! Still, all will be forgiven if Bill gets us our man.

Come on Ed, please give me some good news. I'm dying here mate!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - sorry al...getting nowt mate..

31 Jan 2014 20:48:14
ed 25, realistically what do you think the chances are, we sing someone now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not very good mate..

31 Jan 2014 21:10:15
Im sure bobby has someone coming in! no way he would stay at finch farm until now, last time we had 3 come in last 10 mins and 3 we didn't have a clue that were coming in! hope i'm right because we need cover in a lot of places the derby shows we struggle with injuries

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 21:05:16
Id take a punt in mccormack and lescott. Strength in depth needed, wheres all the money gone bill.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 20:34:49
See we have another goalie? I'm all for planning for the future, but at this rate I will be to old to remember who I'm watching. Can we have a striker please, please, please.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 19:43:58
Have we maxxed our loans options out or something?surely zaha going to cardiff wouldve interested us with our lack of depth up top?if we don't freshen up we'll end up mid table and our season will fizz out after such a promising one so far. Come on robbie, get a striker, cm and cb!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 19:38:19
Sort of hoping we DON'T sign Mario Suarez. He's a good player but I really can't be arsed with leaving us open to any comments from the RS about 'our Suarez is better than your Suarez' nonsense that is bound to occur. I'd never ever hear the end of it in work.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If he scores goals I din't care what he's called!

Agree0 Disagree0

What a ridiculous thought

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 17:57:35
Lescott on loan for rest of season anyone? Makes sense with injuries adding up and city not needing him. Wouldn't mind another cm coming in either to freshen things up. Up top is also a worry with naismith a poor solo option at mo. Thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah I would take that cover for cb and Lb.

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't have any more domestic loans this season. Also can't have 2 from same club and we already have Barry so there's 2 reasons we won't loan lescott

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently we're trying to wrap up the permanent signing of Barry now in order to free up a domestic loan, lescott would b a possibility then.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 17:50:40
There seems to be a lot of talk about Mario Suarez surfacing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 17:48:46
Hi Ed, usually at this stage I have me 6 Stella ready for a big night awaiting the news of a player coming in at the last minute. Well I have my usual 6 Stella, do you reckon we will get a striker or midfielder in tonight? Cheers lad I can down.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - I would start drinking mate, although things could happen quickly}

31 Jan 2014 16:22:51
Heard anything ed?very quiet

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed013's Note - Its very quiet mate}

31 Jan 2014 17:01:39
transfer deadline day worldwide.but at goodison its just Friday! don't get me wrong happy with mcgeady, we don't know about Traore but our squad is light and we need at least a centre mid and a centre back especially if jonny goes come on Billy back your manager we know we have money let's spend a bit and show some balls!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Might be something happening at Finch Farm rather than the old lady

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 16:31:29
Some good news Coleman back for Spurs game along with Delufeo just hope we get the 3 points tomorrow with the squad getting back to full strength we can now push on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 15:54:52
rumours going around that we are back in for Batshuayi, apparently originally targeted for the summer but interest from Arse may prompt RM to move late in the window!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 15:52:36
just heard from someone in work that Joey Barton seen at Goodison. Please please hope this is not true

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's out injured with a hamstring problem anyway. It'd be hilarious if he was doing an Odemwingie.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 15:48:39
Really don't want the redrubbish to sign that konoplyanka lad.
He s quality and I remember him against England he was there stand out player. C'mon Martinez make a cheeky lil bid

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Jan 2014 16:38:15
Oh yeah he tore apart kyle walker, a panda with brain damage could do that against him, he's just been branded a headless chicken, not suprised, yarmalenko is better anyway, why spend 16m on a winger we don't need? Think mate think

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay so next season when we are left with an ageing pienarr, Mirallas, Oviedo, Mccgeady and naismith as wingers, considering 2 of them aren't even wingers I feel we could do with another winger tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 17:33:21
2 of them aren't wingers? Who? Oviedo is the only one, mirallas played on the left a lot for olympiakos and on the right for belgium, not to mention matthew kennedy who martinez rates highly, 16m on a winger who won't start and we don't need, naismith isn't a winger okay, still got doofy loofy on another season hopefully, we don't need him, is this based off the one england game or just because liverpool want him? Seen pics of him, he has a beer belly, boobs and 3 chins, hardly the physique of a winger we desperatly need, again please elaborate

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan you sure that's not a picture of me you've seen

Agree0 Disagree0

Yarmalenko is not way better. Not even close. And Konoplyanka didn't just destroy Kyle Walker. He destroyed England. He also destroys defences for a living at Dnipro. He is pure class and is worth more than the 16m quoted.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 20:54:17
Pienaar won't be with us next season, home sick, so it leaves us with just oviedo as our left winger. Although a great player and professional, strength in depth is key to moving us forward and further mouting a continued challenge for the top 4. Konoplyanka would be a great acquisition, think carefully about who branded him a headless chicken. wait for it oleg luzhny. A nobody defender who played 2nd fiddle on arsenals bench for years! Konoplyanka is the closest playing style I have seen to messi, the ball sticks to his foot and runs as fast with the ball as he does without it, not to mention some silky skills up his sleave. I for 1 would welcome a bid from robbie for him and would love to see our forward 4 consist of :-
Konoplyanka, Barkley, Deloufeu
Mirallas.
All very versitile players and could easily rotate between eachother. We have a solid 1st team at the back and some quality subs to replace them, but would love a bid for bruno martins indi to cover the release of heitinga and one bid in the summer for either lukaku, bony, batshuayi. Squad would consist of.
howard
coleman jags distan baines
barry mccarthy
konoplyanka barkley deloufeu
mirallas

joel,
martins indi, oviedo, stones, alcaraz, hibbert
gibson, mcgeady osman,
naismith, kone
not to mention our up and coming youth system

Just thought i'd share my view on what should happen on deadline day even though I may it may conflict with others, personally I feel that we should not spend another penny on deadline day unless its a minimal fee for a loan I say this because I really do hope that we save our money for the summer which we have been doing in my eyes, I think that although we should still try for 4th realistically we don't have a chance of getting there unless there are major slip-ups by the teams around us which is unlikely to happen.

I believe that martinez has his targets and knows that if we do try and get them on deadline day like many blues are asking for they would come at an inflated price I mean look what Moyes paid for Fellaini on deadline day that just proves that prices on DD are inflated. The summer is where we now need to do our business definitely pick up barry on a 2-3 year contract as he has been a star performer and somebody that can teach mccarthy a lot, we should also be looking at 2 strikers who are both Belguim in Lukaku and Batshauyi as they would be great for the future ( both under 21 ), the Lukaku price might be a bit steep but I think we would reap the benefits of having him for a few years same with Michy.

Just my thoughts anyway, what do other blues feel?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You're quite right Bill - put that wallet away!

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 16:14:26
Totally agree with everything you said CI, Lukaku should be a lot cheaper than the prices that were being thrown around as there is work to be done with him

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 16:20:09
If we have the funds available to purchase 2 players in the summer I would welcome bids for both belgium strikers and tie up barry as you have mentioned. Sustaining the threat of challenging the teams above us (particularly top 4) on a regular basis with the permanant signings to allow future purchases to further develop the squad or interest investors must be our goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2014 13:00:31
Not overly excited by today's deadline day and can honestly say out of the done deals by other clubs so far today I wouldn't take any of them as we need to strengthen for the future and not look to panic buy to plug gaps. We have players returning from injury and with a full quota we are a very strong side, so I ask you blues would you want us rushing for joe Ledley, taking Lewis holtby just because his dads a blue defeating the fact that he is out of his depth in the epl. Or gambling 12mill on a Greek striker who hasn't been tested in a top league playing week in week out against top defenders. I believe Roberto has a long term plan with long term targets and them targets are obv not available now or will cost more than there worth as is always the case in January, so enjoy watching the relegation candidates panic buying and still going down safe in the knowledge that our manager has a vision for the future and believes in the players he has at his disposal maintaining the strong team spirit we have built, onwards and upwards.

31 Jan 2014 09:44:37
Hi Ed a lot of talk but can you see us doing any transfers today

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not really mate..

31 Jan 2014 09:17:06
With Moyse, I cannot ever remember having so many players out injured as we do at this moment. But even during his time at Wigan, RM had a big injury list. I think the problem is that Moyse played football which was all about running without the ball, and so fitness was key to strategy. Whilst with RM, we are all about possession, and fitness, isn't as emphasied such like with drill sergeant Moyse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think its just a coincidence Bryan, Lukaku and Ross's injuries where not really fitness issues, however, I don't mind if Robbie gets the players in to do a couple of extra fitness sesions juts to be on the safe side. Its not like they are that busy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with SA90 on this - I certainly think that it's too soon to draw any conclusions. Also, both Peanuts and Distin have said in interviews this year that fitness work has actually increased due the emphasis placed on finding space when individually without the ball and pressing the opponents when we as a team lose the ball.

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be argued that Roberto's style is detrimental to our fitness because he encourages our quality attacking players to run rings round people! Results in them getting hacked down and picking up nasty little knocks that we probably don't even know about. One small knock can lead to putting more stress somewhere else on the body to compensate, often resulting in strains etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its different to when i played oli...a rolled up echo down your socks as a shinpad days...today they are like little girls..

Haha I agree. Fellaini's little hurt wrist is one that made me chuckle as an excuse for his abysmal performances in front of Utds back 4! Look at the size of the bloke! A hurt wrist?
