I would love to see a couple of new players in but I just dint think it will happen. Lets be realistic we won't win the league our best shot is 6-7 We cant compete financially with the top 6 clubs and I dont want us splashing money we dont have and end up like leeds-west ham etc... We won't get relegated so I think we should get Barkley, Vellios, Gueye in the squad and see what they are capable off this season.

Wake up Barton fans, when would a shrewd business man like mike Ashley, or anyone else, just give away 3-4 million pounds there has got to b something really wrong with Barton, it not just this twitter stuff he is an aggressive person, liverpool centre assault, cigar in youth team player eye, indecent exposure at goodison (kids present) an I'm sure he had a fight with a team mate or two an these r all facts that we have heard about, I will not b going to another game if he comes, maybe an good player but we need to loom beyond that these days Everton have worked hard on their community work an reputation in recent years {Ed025's Note - i hear what you are saying mate, and in an ideal world i would agree with you, but im afraid at times needs must...we are in a desperate situation, we need players as a matter of urgency, dont get me wrong, i dont want to adopt him or anything, but he could do a good job for the team...even if its only a short term measure..

Believable2 Unbelievable2

And moyes will let any of this happen? if we get him, moyes will tell him straight what he wants of him, and besides, barton has cleared up his act lately, top quality signing

This is my 2nd, time i have wrote this, Everton, ARE skint, we will be lucky, if we get 1 maybe 2 loan signings, we do not have any notable capital, unless we sell, personally, i would only sell Rodwell to raise sum funds, to all the BLUES , out there let, s be realistic, we just don, t have any money, i hope this get, s posted, and all us BLUES just get behind them {Ed025's Note - its hardly breaking news that we are skint..but i agree that rodders would be my prime candidate, if we have to sell..

i think we need to have saha and beckford as often as possible next season, we looked really good with them 2 up top, like i havent seen us for years {Ed025's Note - they are good..but what if one gets injured?..its up s**t creek without a paddle..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I suspect he'll only start with beckford when Saha is injured.
Moyes will surely go with Cahill and Saha whenever he can.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not only will Beckford start, he'll be our top scorer.
Saha just isn't reliable enough to string a decent amount of games together and we've no idea if Yak will return from footballing limbo... {Ed025's Note - is limbo...short for laziness?..

Joe cole turn down qpr an on way 2 everton {Ed025's Note - never heared such tripe..you are on the wrong site, go to...waste money on average players dot com..

Believable1 Unbelievable3

We have loads of better midfielders than cole, he wouldn't even get on our bench. {Ed025's Note - dead right!

OUTS: Jags 18m
INS: Djalo 8m, Holtby 8m, Barton FREE

...Howard...
Nev/Coleman...Heitinga...Distin...Baines
...............Felli......Arteta..................
Coleman/Barton...Osman....Holtby........
.....................Djalo.........................

Believable2 Unbelievable2

They would be three fantastic signings, i wish we could do the business without losing jags though {Ed025's Note - now that would be nice mate..

-Toffeeboy-

Sorry to all those fans who want Barton but it is extremely unlikely we will get him. 6 premier league clubs have expressed an interest with 2 of them being champions league clubs, probably United and Arse. Also WHU and a few european clubs including PSG and Malaga both under new ownership and have a lot of money to spend, meaning better wages than we could offer. Suppose its good news for some fans.
Source:Sky Sports News {Ed025's Note - i think we are still in with a shout..

Believable3 Unbelievable2

I suspect only the likes of Villa or Sunderland are remotely interested. I heard that anywhere upwards of 6 PL clubs want him, but I heard that from his agent and it could be BS in order to get one club to show their hand. I personally wouldn't touch him. We have a great reputation I do not want to lose. I honestly wouldn't feel comfortable taking my 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter to games when there's a chance Barton will be on the pitch, dropping his pants or kicking some poor opposition in the head (although if that poor opposition happens to be playing in red at the time...)

I hate this time of year being an evertonian i am always depressed. Untill we get rid of the current board and/or find new investment we are not signing players. Even worse if it keeps on like this, with alot of our players heading into their 30's with no new signings being brought in i can see very bad years to come like the 90's all over again

If we couldn't offer Pienaar the 60k a week wages he wanted then, I don't see how we can offer Barton the 80k a week he's rumoured to be getting at Newcastle.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

We offered pienaar 90k, it was a simple case of wanting a bigger club {Ed025's Note - if pienaar thinks spurs are a bigger club than everton, we are well shut of him...he,s obviously brain dead..

Agree0 Disagree0

Never offered any player £90k infact the clubs strict wage policy doesn't allow for more than £60k. Get real Ed. {Ed025's Note - i never said we have....i look forward to your apology....read the post again!

Joey Barton had talks with the club yestarday, they broke down almost immediatly as he made it clear he wanted to be paid in money and Bill was only able to offer bags of quavers.

without arteta and fellain we look poor - no method of play or route towards goal other than baines and of course vic up front means no goals as ive said before - moyes needs to do something and fast

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Totally agree Especially th vic shot i cannot see what ppl see in him so what hes big and strong if we our pinning our hopes of the future on him then we our not gonna get many goals {Ed025's Note - we are really short in the striker department, saha,s fitness is not guaranteed, i would personally take a punt on long, but as always, money is the issue..

With the disappointment of this pre season and not getting a new striker (or being able to sell Yak), I think Moyes needs to bite the bullet and try to bring him back into the fold. I know both of them are stubborn but it would be best for both sides to clear the air and try to get Yak back to his form from a few years ago. Then maybe we can get some interest for a transfer.
Of course the big problem is that he only has one year left. If we don't sell him now, we risk letting him go for free. That would really suck. {Ed025's Note - i dont think so...get him off the wage bill..he is a liability..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Moyes is desperate to offload yak, i would prefer to give velios a run this season. Beckford will take the prem by storm this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Yak is not the same player he was a couple of years ago, i don't think his heart is in it either, lets blood the youngsters who will spur us on next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Dissapointment in pre-season, have you even seen liverpool's results?
