No, no, everton no, don't you dare, don't you dare. Howard-5-i hate him I hate him, get rid of him now or play joel or both, alex ferguson said a good goalkeeper wins 15 points a season, well he isn't a good goalkeeper, he costs 15 points a season, makes too many mistakes. Coleman-6-watch my mcgeady comment, these 2 did the same thing, the one time they got down the wing they lost control and it went out for a goal kick. Jagielka-5.5-ha, get stones back on put jags on the left. Distin-5-woeful, absolutely woeful, can't use the ball and dived in like tom daley on ecstacy, what an person. Baines-6-awful corners, out of position constantly and failed in everything he done. Besic-6-i really don't know what to say, worked hard but made some dodgy passes. Barry-6-nearly got caught but meh. Osman-6-used the ball well first half and that half volley pass to baines was very good, second half he lost it everytime. Barkley-6.5-better from him today, which isn't saying much. Mirallas-6.5-worked hard and played very well. Lukaku-7-won most headers for once and bar mirallas, was the only player trying. Pienaar-5.5-his 'telepathic' relationship with baines was about as real as derek akorahs sixth sense. Mcgeady-6-came on, had a go but didn't run down the wing, he had one run and it led to a goal kick, well done, fatty. Worse than against tottenham, we didn't threaten at all. No one wanted the ball. We just drew at home with hull tigers, how poor are we. Where was eto'o? Awful subs from martinez, does he know what to do. Its like watching paint dry, there were 2 moments of good football, other than that? We may be the most boring team in the league, its absolutely dreadful, bring back mike walker

{Ed025's Note - i dont say this very often...your right swan..

Swan: what's so especially depressing for me is that there was so much promise with the football we played last season, and the way our players had progressed and were performing, and the confidence at our club. It feels worse than all those dire times in the past, because back then we knew we had uninspiring managers and uninspiring players and no ambition other than to survive as a top division club. What's more, it's yet another season where so many other teams are faltering in the pursuit of Champions League places and yet we cannot take advantage of that. Are our players and staff on an incentive NOT to perform and NOT to win matches?

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan: you say, 'bring back Mike Walker' - would that be as goalie or manager?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why have we have slowed down to this pathetic pedestrian pace been the same all season but today was by far the worst, they have this pass back to the defenders thing so ingraded in their heads they refuse to look up, the crowd are bored and the atmosphere is dead because of this slow retreat for Howard to launch the ball which goes against playing out the back in the first place, is the Europa that detrimental to a team, maybe or maybe not either way some of our team need to buck up, sharpish

He can come and do both jobs sid

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Swan is being generous with his scoring of the players last night. I would have scored the back 3 or 4 out of 10. They were all hopeless with every aspect of their game. Distin made Aluko look better than Messi. The midfielders were not much better than defence and 2nd half scores for them would have been 3 or 4 as well. Lukaku &Mirallas were our best players by a country mile & even they can play much better. We are playing very poorly at the minute but so are Liverpool and theyjust won 3 on the bounce, so who knows maybe we'll pick up a few wins (doubt it'll start on Saturday).

The danger imho is that RM will be so desperate that he'll bring back players who aren't fully fit (McCarthy, etc.) for the ManCity match and it'll be a repeat of what happened away at the darkside last season when so many of our players clearly weren't fit to return and we were destroyed.
It's not in RM's nature to play with a 'damage limitation' or ultra-defensive approach, so unless ALL of our players each gives a minimum 8/10 performance (goalkeeper, defending, midfield, and attack) competing with ManCity, then we'll surely be slaughtered.
I see a bad (blue) moon arising :-(

Lose at spurs after leading 1-0, drew with hull, after leading, both these side are poor, and in the midst of a poor run, both were their for the taking, our GOOD fortune in europe, is masking how our lack of mental strength and tactical grasp must ultimatley rest at the door of the manager.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - your right imo JCW..

JCW100: I have to agree with you. I am a big supporter of RM, but he needs to identify the issues (the fans can tell him what ones are obvious on the pitch!) and correct them asap. For all the criticism of refereeing decisions recently, there's no doubt we've benefitted from plenty in our favour this season and we've ridden our luck big-time (especially defensively). We just haven't played well enough for long enough in matches and we haven't shown enough intensity and urgency, let alone shown the game-management tactics to keep winning leads.

03 Dec 2014 22:08:08
That was an absolutely abysmal performance. We have no fight in the squad it seems. Every week defensive errors are costing us points. 4 wins from 14 is definitely not good enough, but where is it going wrong? For me our style of play is boring, unpredictable and lacklustre. It's okay playing possession football, but we can't even do that properly. I think we sometimes have more failed passes than completed passes. The point of playing passing football is to drag the opposition team into one side of the pitch and then explode into the space that they leave behind. Not good enough at all. There's a complacency that's crept into the squad, which needs to be eradicated before there are more serious consequences for the club. Not a happy blue at the moment, not at all. I also don't expect us to beat city and I think aguero will probably tear us to shreds and score about 5.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - correct!..

03 Dec 2014 22:07:13
Pathetic performance, not one to slate players but can't bite my tongue anymore Osman and Distin are past it and not good enough to be playing 90 minutes! Barry could've cost us again getting caught in possession! What does Barkley offer? On current form if some fool offered 20 mil I'd bite their hand off! Our response to the equalizer is to take off the most dangerous player and replace him with Pienaar! Then to put the icing on the cake rather than turn to Eto'o we put McGeady on ffs! We are boring to watch with a complete lack of urgency going forward and Martinez is clearly showing he has no plan B now that everyone has figured out his tactics! We are playing like a mid table team at best!
What's gone wrong Ed? And who is to blame?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - the buck stops with bobby dunc, that tonight was like a pre season friendly ffs, pedestrian, boring, predictable, lack of urgency, rudderless, lacklustre, lazy, unintelligent, unimaginative, sloppy, careless...need i go on?..

I hear you loud n clear mate! I'm just waiting for the "we played well and deserved more" comments. Surely Bobby has to face the facts and stop being the nice guy before it's too late.
Also have you heard of any likely signings for January? because God knows we need some.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the way its looking dunc we will need to sign messi, ronaldo, and superman..

The way things are going Ed Bobby would turn them into Van Der Meyde, Brett Angell and ummm well Mcgeady lol

Crap! Crap! Crap!! Sorry folks, but I'm fed up with this tosh that Martinez is serving up this season, I'm not even sure about mid table at the moment, we really are slowly turning into Wigan by the look of it. I'm no longer sold on all this positive talking up talk, more interested in getting the 3 points - which we clearly can longer seem to do.the team don't seem motivated enough for me - is he preparing the players properly before the matches, the redshirt r supposed to be in a crisis & we're now below them - not good enough!!! All this tip tap toe sideways passing is clearly not working anymore, teams have worked us out, we need a plan b & quick, we need to be able to mix it up more & grind out a result when needed. & of course bloody defend properly for 90 minutes!!! Think Bobby is far too nice & needs to get a whole lot tougher with the players & lay it on the line & make them play for their places!! Said it many times b4 but Piennar, McGeady, Distain, Atsu r no longer good enough for Our team, we need a big squad overhaul & ship out all the tosh!! Not happy!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - dont apologize zacki...your right mate..

03 Dec 2014 21:56:49
Lucky if there is a 100 at the Krasnodar game even with the discounts.
I can accept 1-1 if were playing football to win a game but were not, were playing football with no real purpose to it. And they say they go out there to reward the fans for their sell outs at Goodison and amazing away support!! give me a break.
The football is tippie tappie, which is fine if done at pace but it is done in slow motion, and the opposition don't need to do much as its so pedestrian they can watch us do nothing but go sideways backwards sideways backwars out to the flanks inside and backwards again. unbelievable and at a snails pace. City are going to take us to the cleaners and I for one am going to hide til its over then hide again when the score comes through n stay in bed all day Sunday and phone in sick on Monday.
Roberto, you too need to ask yourself what your telling them to do and think about your subs, always wide players, and take off the ball winners!! How on earth do you get the ball to give it them?? I despair after tonight as if you haven't noticed. Maybe I;ll feel better in the morning but I doubt it .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - only if i win the lottery howie..

03 Dec 2014 21:54:42
Is any one else starting to see a pattern here? Were so predictable and easy to play against it's beyond a joke! We can forget about finishing in the top 6 playing like that just hope we get some success in one of the cups. Ffs everton! I love them but they do my nut right in sometimes!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - same here mate..

03 Dec 2014 21:53:13
Knee jerk reaction warning :-)
For the first time in ages, our team was booed off the pitch - but the team and the players were poor overall tonight and deserved every ounce of criticism. After the performance against Tottenham, I thought that we would have learnt how to exploit a winning lead and play with urgency and intensity - but no!
Is there anyone who doesn't expect us to get slaughtered at ManCity?
Midtable mediocrity looms as do cup exits once we get drawn against opposition with any quality (which they surely will have in later rounds) and/or more fight than us (which is everyone so it seems).
Come on RM - it's up to you to get the players and the team performing and winning asap.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - your right sid..

03 Dec 2014 21:52:52
i love roberto but I got to say that his subs were shocking. why take off your best player and bring on pienaar, and then put mcgeady on when you've got eto'o, who won us the game against west ham, sitting on the bench

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i agree andy..

03 Dec 2014 21:46:48
Listening to Official EFC Radio, Ian Snowden slating us, 'Have never heard blues fans boo their team like this for years'.
Not good enough Roberto, honeymoon period is over.
Less 'Double Glazing Salesman gloss' in your post match interview me thinks, people aren't stupid.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I love RM's positivity, but it grates even with me when it contradicts what I - and, I expect, many other fans - are seeing on the pitch. Sure, there some great bits of attacking play, but they are too few and far between and we just don't seem to know how we want to play in certain match situations - that is when to play possession football, when to play long balls, when to up the tempo, when to be solid, and when to be expansive.
Come on RM - get us back on track!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Dec 2014 21:45:58
Villa talked about as being in a crisis, well we're only two points above them and look clueless. Yet were told there's a great team developing here. Really? When we take a lead why the fek do we not go for the throat. Last two Ames sat back and got what we deserved. ROBBIE has got to change this bloody negativity in the team. Arrrrg!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Villa at home to Leicester next I think, so will probably leapfrog us.

03 Dec 2014 21:43:16

Luv it lol

03 Dec 2014 21:19:30
With ten minutes to go it looks like a bad result but one fact.
If Prem games finished at half time, we would be second to Chelsea!
What's going wrong?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we have become boring and predictable mushy...we score then sit back..and pass back, then sideways, then back, then sideways, yaaaaaaawwnn..

It's bad ed, people leaving the ground with 5 to go and some booing!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that was me doing the booing mushy..

Diabolical to say the least. I agree with you Ed, we are so predictable.sideways backwards, sideways give the ball away conceed a goal.Martinez was like a breath of fresh air last season after 10yrs playing under Moyes. But now I am becoming bored with it all.Apart from the Mirallas effort early second half I don't think we had another effort at goal. There needs to be a plan B because now we've been sussed out by everyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - where can we get 500 gallons of paint remover?..

03 Dec 2014 19:42:31
We need a brilliant performance, everyone to click and a few goals to put us ahead of the Red Side with a few goals to spare. Goal difference may be needed later on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Dec 2014 19:32:35
Well Swan, and all other fellow Blues. This is where we all stand together behind the team. It is probably the only time the banter ever stops. or does it? Come on you Blues. let's stuff Hull with a brilliant performance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - count me in degs..

03 Dec 2014 19:38:04
Sounds good to me Degs, cmon you Blues

03 Dec 2014 18:14:38
Seriously worried about tonight. Hope it's pre-match nerves and a touch of pessimism and that we smash them, we certainly need the points to just stay in remote touch.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We must be quick out of the blocks, take the game to them, play with intensity and pace, don't give them a chance to settle and slow the game down, take our goalscoring chances when they come, don't take unnecessary defensive risks, and prove that we're the better team with the better players.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - sound easy that sid.. :)

I don't think thereis one Manager in the Country that doesn't say that before their team goes out.
Personally i'd say, win or die. Think it was Mussolini said it to the Italian team before WC Final, it seemed to work as they won.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - great history there howie.. :)
