I don,t believe for one minute that we have !6 million to spend, But if by some miricle! we did, then I think he would go all out to get Adam Johnson!. moyes dos,nt hide the fact, that he is an admirer of the winger! and has enquired in the past!. Now this is still young enough to make a large cash investment in, without it becoming dead money!.I personally believe this player could be the missing link! He would bring a better balance to the team, as an equal number chances could be created from the right, as so far most of our chances come from the left! ie baines, and pienaar. Then we really would be a force to reckond with!... this is not a rumour by the way! just my thoughts!.....johnmacfromfazak

Why do people think we need a rb Hibbo is fast for his age and a great tackler Neville is comfortable in the position with experience and moyes is trying to turn Coleman into a rb tol

Believable8 Unbelievable3

It's 3rd or 4th priority - not first priority - right winger / left winger and in the hole 2nd striker (not necessarily in that order) are top priorities

No defensive midfielder?

Keith EFC.

I'd prefer Gibson in that midfield. He just adds to the creativity. My personal team would be:

Gk Howard
Rb Coleman
Cb Jagielka
Cb Heitinga
Lb Baines
Cm Gibson
Cam Fellaini
Lm Pienaar
Cf Naismith
Cf Cardozo
St Jelavic

Typical 4-3-3 or 4-2-1-3.

Howard
Coleman Heitinga Jags Baines

Gibson
Pienaar

Fellaini

Naismith Jelavic

Cardozo

Should work?

I think the Eleven will be like this;

GK: Howard
RB: Coleman
CB: Jagielka
CB: Heitinga
LB: Baines
RM: Donovan
CM: Gibson
CM: Fellaini
LM: Pienaar
SS: Naismith
ST: Jelavic

Personally my team would be;

GK - Howard
RB - Hibbo
CB - Jags
CB - Heitinga
LB - Baines
RM - Donovan
CM - Gibbo
CM - Fellaini
LM - Pienaar
SS - Naismith
ST - Jelavic

Top team right there.

Everton have the potential to be a champ league side. We have baines consistently the best lb in the prem last few seasons. Felliani one of the best dm in the world, jelavic potential to be great. One of the best back fours excluding rb where we need to strengthen. If we sign pianarr one of the best left sides in the prem. People need to get off rod wells back he is only 21 and has plenty of time to show form we must not sell him. Gibson is quality with his safe passing he makes the team tick and compliments felaini. Right mid we need to strengthen Coleman or osman can do the job though. News of Naismith joining looks promising. If he is fit and can find form with his old team mate jelavic we could have a very formidable attacking lineup, with a few additions we can do it come on bill we know you want the best for the club and you love the club as much as we do so give davie a few mill and we will be flying, cheers. I think you need to take a lie down mate, we're good but not good enough on a consistent basis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good to be positive but we have to be real. We can max get in top5 in PL but we are world champs in relation to getting the best out of our players.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're 2 or 3 players - mid value ones - donovan pienaar and naismith (dempsey?) away from having a team that looks strong throughout

cardozo

naismith

look who we wont moyes its a decent side ......

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This I can agree with. I wouldn't mind if we spent our whole budget on Cardozo really. It's money well spent afterall. Think we could easily get Benfica down a couple of mill though; perhaps 12-13. That'd be a steal compared to what Liverpool paid for Suarez. Sadly no matter how much I love the lad Hibbert wouldn't be my first choice RB. Perhaps easing Coleman into that role as a more attacking defender to overlap Gibson might be a good idea. Just my view. Don't take it as golden.

naismith in by weekend prajnic too, pienaar on cheap as AVB wamts rid cause of his age and donovan either loan or cheap buy(probz loan)

next season:
howard
prajnic heitinga jags baines
donovan gibson felli pienaar
naismith jelavic {Ed025's Note - now thats a side that would be pushing for europe...maybe even CL..

instead of everton trying to get cardozo why don't we try and get ba. he has a 7 million release clause in his contract and is younger than cardozo. also donavan looks like is is signning for everton along with naismith and pranjic. good summer {Ed025's Note - lets hope so mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Because he is only available for 7m to champions lge clubs, and plus he has already turned us down once. Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really a fan of Ba. Money hungry really. I honestly hope we get Cardozo. Proven goalscorer, think he'd turn down "boring" France, and "not good enough" Turkey for a move to the EPL. Although saying this, David Gold will come out next week with his usual comment of the century about how he thinks Oscar will improve his team and love London life and he'll probably sign for the 'Ammers, get bored of the bubble blowing and getting his house looted by burly lads who think his missus is fit and buggers off to Brazil where he signs for a team we've all never heard of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clozem, i'm gonna say 2-1 Everton. Jelavic and a cheeky Hibbo wondershot from the half way line that "looks" like a cross when really we all know it was a shot. And Trist cmon man. We all know Cardozo is better than some other South American across the park. As for more predictions, we'll win the FA Cup beating Stoke in the final, our kit launch will be a rousing success cause Degsy modeled it (and later he'll get a contract from Mens Health) and Fred along with Paul "BlueNose" McCartney will buy the club in a multi billion takeover. Also, Ed may just end up getting scouted by TalkSport. Heard it here first!

MikeyBlueNose. {Ed025's Note - you always brighten my day mikey..

Agree0 Disagree0

All for you Ed. We all know these rumours are totally gonna happen. Ed's now sat at his desk, waiting for Keys and Gray to offer him a lucrative contract to make up rubbish to enrage the masses. Degsy's doing bicep curls with a can of Stella in one hand and Big Vic in the other and Fred is gathering all his contacts from across the Mersey while singing "Baby you can drive my car" replacing car with Limpar. Just another day at Goodison lads.

disappointed to see that our home kit is just one of the nike template kits. Ours is exactly the same as Brazil's kits, Barnsley's new home kit, FC Twentes home kit and the most similar kit is FC Twentes away kit. Oh well I'll still buy I just expected better from nike, especially after that away kit.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The FC Twente kit is boss! Not at all concerned that it ain't original it's a very very nice kit so would be happy for Everton to have one like that!

What formation u like this season?
442, 451, 352 or 4231?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd have 4-4-2, I'd have:

Howard
Hibbert
Heitinga
Distin
Baines
Osman
Fellaini
Gibson
Pienaar
Jelavic
Naismith

Subs:

Mucha
Neville
Duffy
Pranjic
Cahill
Barkley
Vellios

I'd sell: Rodwell, Jags and Anichebe

Pecko

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe people are talking about selling jags! i still think he is our best defender! {Ed025's Note - i hope we keep him..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that Heitinga and Distin have the best partnership out of the three of them (Jags, Heitinga and Distin).

Pecko {Ed025's Note - but an injury to one would leave us short, so we need all 3 for me..

Agree0 Disagree0

We've got Duffy too, who i thought played well in his little run in the team. {Ed025's Note - he is one for the future, and will be a replacement for distin next year..

Agree0 Disagree0

Duffy would be the cover, (he's on the bench) I thought he played well in the few games he played last season.

I hear that the anichebe rumours aren't true. unless we get a high value bid, he will be staying with us because we have to consider the rules on home grown player quotas. i cant remember how many we need but we have got so far baines, jag, anichebe, rodwell, osman, hibbert and neville. i dont think barkley counts because he is an underage player.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2012 16:13:15
i highly doubt this to be true, but iv heard this rumour from a couple of friends. they say that man utd are willing to offer 10 mil plus berbatov for baines if moyes is open to a player and cash deal. i cant see us being able to take on berbatovs wages personally so thats why i think its a no-go, but their counter arguement was that the 10 mil fee would easily cover it. what u guys think? should we hold out for a straight cash deal or attempt to get a player as well? {Ed025's Note - tell them to stick it were the sun dont shine i say..

Believable1 Unbelievable3

It has to be straight cash if we sell Baines, no cash plus player deals, no add ons, but cash only.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure about the Baines situation, but I can imagine the arrangement with Fellaini is twofold: (a) if we don't qualify for Europe by the end of next season, he can move to a club that have (for a decent fee of course); or (b) if someone offers huge money - which David Moyes is given to bring in players - he might be transferred out. Similar to Arteta and Lescott respectively. I'm probably stating (or repeating) the obvious, but we can all have our say on this forum.

Sky Sports understands Everton are set to win the race to sign Scotland international Steven Naismith.

West Ham United, Stoke City and Wigan Athletic are all understood to have made contact with the 25-year-old forward, however, David Moyes looks set to win the battle for his coveted signature.

Naismith has not played since last October when he damaged cruciate ligaments in his knee.

He is now believed to have undergone extensive medicals on Merseyside ahead of finalising a move to Goodison Park.

Naismith was one of the first players to confirm his departure from Rangers last month when he opted not to transfer his contract to the newco formed by Charles Green.

TalkSport says that we are going to bid £16m for Cardozo, however if you read the whole post it just says Benfica have slapped a £16m price tag on him. And the reason they say we are ''going to bid'' is because we had, or maybe still do have, an interest in him.

The point I'm trying to make is that they (TalkSport) over exagerate and say that becuase we had, or maybe still do have, an interest in him we are going to bid £16m because Benfica have said £16m is the fee they want for him.

They might as well just say that because we wanted, or still want, him we are going to bid £56m because Benfica have said £56m will get him.

Papers and websites like TalkSport just do it to get viewers.

And that's what I mean when all the rumours about Baines come in.
Here's what the Daily Mail have said:
1st - Man Utd to sign Baines for £5m
2nd - Man Utd to sign Baines for £12m
3rd - Man Utd to sign Baines for £20m
4th - Mau Utd to sign Baines for £15-17m.

Let's look at that... they have changed their mind 4 times. They are never consistent.

Unless something official is said, then these are just rumours. They might as well link us with Ronaldo swapping with Felli.
