For the next match I would love to see:
Howard
Coleman. Distin. Heitinga. Baines
Rodwell. Fellani.
Drenthe. Barkley. Pienaar
Jelavic
Thoughts ed and my fellow bluenoses
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - that looks great to me kaz....

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Another great team selection Kaz. Gibson for Rodwell when he returns. Chances are we won't see that team but we can always hope.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep I agree starting jelavic, denis wasn't up to the mark today, I think the 2 weeks we had between the game must have knocked his form
EFL

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley shouldn't for all the fans that actually have watched u have to agree he gives the ball away to easily

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that instead of starting Barkley have osman start and then have Barkley come on late in the game say the 75 minute mark

It has to be said Neville is past it. Great pro but is now a liability. He should be a reserve right back just no longer good enough to play in centre mid. Barkley played today I reckon we would have got three points instead of 1.
Really poor result today with a great chasce to make up ground for a Europa place. COYB.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

He either plays for Everton or coaches England U21 he clearly cannot do both. Playing for Everton is not a part-time job!

I would have liked to have seen Pienaar moved into the middle today where he would have had more space and time.
We shouldn't forget Gueye who I thought played very well against Blackpool and who didn't get a look in today. He could have been brought on and Pienaar moved into the middle. There were options on the bench to change tactics and play a bit differently but they were not chosen.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Pienaar's best role isn't in the middle, he plays great down the left and I thought today was the first time since he's been back that him and baines have looked like the partnership they had.
Today.. We couldn't hold the ball, nearly everyone under performed but I thought jelivic looked positive, strac just want fed

We really missed Gibson today and it showed. As an aside I was sitting amongst QPR fans and they hate Hughes with a passion - they can't understand the appointment nor do they expect it to succeed. {Ed025's Note - gibbo has done well for us since he came..he has added stability to the midfield, and has freed up fellaini who has been the biggest beneficiary of his signing, to express himself more..

we need to tie down R.R.Drenthe on permanent deal he has a striker and always looks likely to score thoughts ed? Dan {Ed025's Note - royston is a precocious talent dan...he has great ability, but his off field antics are not winning over the powers that be at the club, there have been a couple of instances where he has let himself down mate, he needs to knuckle down and win the managers trust, then we will hopefully see him obtain his full potential, which would be awesome for the blues..

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Cheers ed, i meant to say strike by the way not striker. he is a real talent he'd be quality to sign a real threat, bet people hate playing against him, Dan {Ed025's Note - we just need him to do it on a regular basis mate, there is no doubting his talent...a brace in the derby would do..

Agree0 Disagree0

Be good wouldn't it ed, think he's trying too hard to impress us on the pitch but like you say he needs to calm down a bit when hes not working, dan

I think every Evertonian wants to see barkley out there, definitely ability wise deserves his place in the team despite his age, would love to see one time this season a Barkley-Pienaar-Drenthe sort of attacking 3 behind a striker with the 2 holding DM's behind, would be brilliant football I reckon.

Trev EFC {Ed025's Note - i think your right trev....i hate the..hes not ready shout about ross, the kid has great talent, and i would like to see him using it for everton, before someone comes in with stupid money for him...come on moysie, take the shackles off!

Got a horrible feeling moyes will play neville in midfield! That will put such a downer on things!

Believable7 Unbelievable1

And he did once again, it was like playing with 10 men, 5 yards off the pace and completely out of his depth.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree wi ya mate

The acid test - portsmouth get a buyout with 100 m in debt likewise rangers get a buyer - we dont... are we really up for sale.

Although it been hard times and not knowing what has been going on - debt has been reduced and players bought and not sold (yet) - and we are moving in the right direction.

I prefer where we are now than a few other clubs.

Portsmouth were sold few years back and still are a mess, lets be grateful we hav an evertonian lookin after us and i believe he does wat is best for the club,we stand as one, together thru the bad times and lets support the team, true blue,efc4 life

Agree0 Disagree0

I think your a kind of mess..I mean what have you got to look forward to Fa cup? you will not win it cos Liverpool are still in it and they love beating you in finals dont they?

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldnt want to get taken over by some arab oil giant or whatever, I'd much rather we earn our way to the top, unlike certain premier league clubs who spend there way to the top, that january transfer window may have been the renovation that our club has so desperately been searching for.
Lets just get to the end of the season and then we can see what the summer brings.

Honestly hope *sometime* we play 442, with strac a feeder for jelavic...
I think we need practice though, so next season maybe... Ed? {Ed025's Note - whether it is 4-4-2...or 4-5-1..does not make a big difference mate, its about attitude...you can still attack, with the midfield supporting the striker. strac has done very well as a target man, and i know what you mean about them playing together, they would terrify most defences but it can lead to playing a long ball game, and i dont think we want to go down that route..
