Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

For some weird reason i have a feeling were going to get a win against the bar codes !
In a way, fellaini suspended might help us because although him and Rodwell are good players they both sit back and play sideways.
Maybe a partner in the middle with Rodwell this saturday that will go forward. Osman ? He's useless on the wing but good in the middle.
Knowing Moyes he will play Neville or Heitinga in the middle with Rodwell !!

Maybe ?
Howard
Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Coleman Rodwell Osman Drenthe

Cahill Saha

I'm tired, we're tired, Goodison's tired, Moyes tired. Saturday we'll win with gusto.
Why? why not. C'MON!!

Agree3 Disagree0

Having drenthe back is a big boost,he was sorely missed against man u.I have a feeling it might be 1-1 on saturday. After the weekends game our fixture list doesn't look too bad for a couple of months,so we should climb the table

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - lets hope so bez..

Agree1 Disagree0

I dont think newcastle are unbeatable, they have had the rub of the green, (a bit like us in 2004) but we have better players and a better team so yes, we should beat them. no felli, so i would play barkly and ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK !!!

Agree3 Disagree1

I think form is the only thing in favour of newcastle, otherwise they are beatable, like last year when we won there

Agree0 Disagree1

You make a decent point.... Fellaini and Rodwell are very similar but in the past 3 games (Fulham, Chelsea in the cup and Man United) i have noticed that Rodwell has gone forward a lot more.
Maybe Moyes finally noticed that there both similar and sit, it takes him a while our Moyesy but he gets there in the end !
Everyone seems to say it but i don't see the problem with playing Cahill in the middle instead behind the forward he played in the centre when he first got here and was immense arriving in the box late. With him playing further up nowadays he is easier to mark because he is already in the box when the ball is played in !
Personally i would always play Cahill in the centre with either Rodwell or Fellaini and play 2 upfront but Moyes is never going to do that !!! ha

Saha should start up front on saturday and how we need one of his days where he's in the mood. Osman behind didn't really work against United so personally I'd rather see Saha tucked in behind Vellios, as improbable as it sounds. Drenthe should return to replace Bily and hopefully will maintain his improvement every game as if he does we have a real player on our hands. Rodwell will be in the middle with a new partner as Fellaini, the big galoot, is suspended. Lets hope it's not Neville or Heitinga there. It was pleasing to see something like the Seamus Coleman we know on the right doing all sorts of mad b**tard runs against United. He may shoot like French warship but he can make things happen and push back the opposition on their left wing. {Ed025's Note - love the comment about shooting like a french warship...class mate

I think Neville will get Fellainis place on saturday. Am praying for a win but would be happy with point at the moment . The barcodes are on roll. What do you think ed? {Ed025's Note - would be doing cartwheels in the big house, if we get a point...but they are flying at the moment, and we are very poor...but football is a funny old game, and i live in hope..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed'025, your being positive about us getting a point or better on saturday so why are you trying to get people to be negative about no takeover happening? I'm trying to be positive about the takeover rumours but your constantly agreeing with people saying there not going to happen {Ed001's Note - I think you will find it is called being realistic.}

why would any sane person want to purchase everton we dont own are training ground,it cost us 3.200.00 pound a day to rent.we need a new ground.we loose 5 million a year at least.we have a load of very average players on long contracts wich have to be paid up.think about it the only person that would be interrested is a loony living in a bedsit in manchestr

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Isnt it great how optimistic some of our supposed fans are? first of all £3200 a day works out not much more than £1m a year.. think of the players we have coming out of that and i would think thats not too bad. Obviously i can't argue on the ground but then you say we have average players? and thats why every team who plays everton consistently says we are a hard team to beat.. just look at some of the players we have right the way through our ranks.. Fair enough we are going through a difficult time but I am and always will be optimistic about everton {Ed025's Note - i used to think like you mate..and hope i do in the future..

Agree1 Disagree2

Yes these rules will come in to play but it wont make any difference as the people like Abramovich and city owner are clever business men and can get around it even if city stop spending there income will never top the wages dont be naive

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh on bily, played out of position for two years and put in a few good shifts lately, not to mention the goals he has scored? {Ed025's Note - i hate to tell you this mate...but he is not good enough!, even if he has been played out of position, he should still be able to run, tackle and pass a ball, which seems beyond him...hes a professional footballer for gods sake!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Stephen Hughes, the shat we had from arsenal should be in that midfield,

he was crap!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bails done a great a job and loved this club!! get him out that shat team ya knobs

John Bailey was a quality footballer and loved watching him, great left foot. Well said about getting him out the team. Look at one or two we have now, Neville for starters! Sick of hearing praise heaped on him, very average player.

Additional: I guess the best we can hope for is investment in the very near future to clear some of our debts to the banks. Or a sale of land/building eg Finch Farm or Bellefield? Do we still own that land?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We don't own finch farm we rent the land

Am I missing something? The new UEFA Financial Fair Play rules suggest that we are too late to get on the rich owner bandwagon? If I were a potential investor, I think the last place I would want to put my money would be into any football club that would have to adhere to these new rules and I quote,

"Financial fair play measures will be implemented over a three-year period, with the break-even assessment covering the financial years ending 2012 and 2013 assessed during 2013/14, and starting with the assessment by the Club Financial Control Panel of all transfer and employee payables in the summer of 2011."

The way I read this is that in 2011 we will be player transfer and salary assessed and by 2013/2014 there will be a control panel prohibiting further outside investment. So any investor can only get in quick now unless he risks not being able to invest over a longer period. Look how long it took Man City to develop their investments. We have only got 2 seasons to get investment, grow, be successful and also balance our books without future outside investment. Let me know if I have got this wrong guys. FTRS.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Quite possibly, what I expect will happen is any investment now will go on a new stadium not players so in future we have a vastly increased income generated by the stadium which will allow us to develop the squad within the rules of the financial fair play. From what I understand Arsenal make millions per matchday, we make £500k max.

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be ways around these new rules,if you havent noticed Man City signed a massive sponsorship deal over stadium naming rights with a company belonging......to their owners!! {Ed001's Note - the reason their deal was so massive is not because of the stadium naming rights at all, that is typical poorly researched media nonsense. It was because they are completely regenerating the area surrounding their stadium, they are building soccer schools around the world, training ground etc etc. The sponsorship covers all of those areas as well as the stadium. Unless Everton can find the money to invest in those areas, they are not going to be able to pull in such huge sponsorship deals, the FFP ruling would simply not allow it.}

Agree0 Disagree0

These Fair Play rules will be impossible to regulate! If I came along with £500m to invest all you would need to do is sponsor a corner flag for fore mentioned amount and that has to be accepted as commercial income {Ed001's Note - nope, they would not allow it, try reading the FFP ruling, it is all on the UEFA site and free to peruse.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I stand corrected but at the same time there will be around it somehow...solicitors are quite good at finding loopholes

Just out of intrest who thinks bill kenwright is trying his best to sell us? Personally I think we could have been sold years back if it wasn't for his 'undying love' for everton! Your thoughts Ed and anyone got any ideas on players we are going for in january? {Ed025's Note - bill wants investment, not a buyer, and thats the crux of the problem, he likes being at the helm...but like the titanic, some people think we are unsinkable..but were not!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You can never question kenwrights feelings for everton i still remember the johnston era now thats when we were in the poo

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Nov 2011 07:30:40
stand with a partition outside the ground at the next home game to get kenwright out then send it to finch farm and see what his response is {Ed025's Note - i know what it will be...pure apathy..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not too sure how putting up a partition is going to help the situation...a petition on the over hand might just let the board know fans are pissed off...OH...THEY ALREADY KNOW THAT!!
