Will it be a situation of cheers for Fellaini and boos for Moyes when they both return? I have nothing but respect for Fellaini. 99% of the time he gave his all for us and he stayed loyal when he could have left on the cheap towards the end of his first contract. I really hope he is successful as a player at Utd. Yet I can't say the same about our ex manager, I still believe he has acted with zero class, from the moment he was tapped up by Fergie, to his pathetic bids for Baines.

Ed, if Lukaku does well for us do you think we could make it a permanent deal at end of season? And how much money have we got to spend in january? RaytheToffee {Ed013's Note - It wouldn't surprise me if they rate him at 20 million, it all depends on his form this season. It is too early to say how much is available for January mate}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hope it works out well for him, see sky trying to put the mockers on lakaku deal, saying he is unhappy about signing for everton, I know the player has denied it. But where does this rubbish come from.
Bluenose.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from the fact they rate him if he does well it give them extra reason not to sell, i'm suprised they even let him go to be honest

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be unhappy to sign for us because he wanted to stay at chelsea and fight for his place which he has the right to do, can't blame the lad they bought him two seasons ago and has hardly featured for them he wnats to prove his worth to chelsea

Have to say that I am so impressed with RM thus far.
He has secured his TOP transfer target in McCarthy, he has secured one of the best strikers in the Premier League of last season in Lukaku. 17 goals in 20 appearances, he has used his contacts at Barcelona to secure Delefeleu. recognised as one of the most promising players in Spain, he has secured Robles, Alcatraz and Kone for a combined fee of 8 mill. he has fended off interest and kept hold of the best left back in Europe if not the world in Baines. he has sold Fellaini for 27.5 million which is 4 mill more than Moyes put in his release clause. he has secured 6 mill for Anichebe, a squad player at best. in achieving ALL of this he has banked approximately 15 million for the club.
Does anyone think his predecessor, David Moyes, could have or would have done better?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Completely agree. but you should also have mentioned what he has done with Barkeley. would he be on the verge of the England senior team under Moyes.? I don't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree but I think most of the credit needs to go to our board and BK. RM wouldn't have much say in the numbers but obviously him being the way he is, players seem to want to play for him. But the board have negotiated all the deals and I think they get nothing but stick from a certain section. Surely they deserve a bit of credit too.

I think we should all get a bandwagon going to give Leighton Baines the best ever applause against Chelsea. He deserves greater applause than the likes of Neville and Gollum got when leaving. He is the true legend at our club and deserves the highest praise we can give him. I for one would give him a fat bonus for staying on Bill ~ He's a class act and a true leader in our team.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How do you know, he didn't request to leave, let's me honest Gollum will not give up. He will be back in Jan. I just wish bainsey would say something the silence is deafening.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on. He was the one player I wouldn't have begrudged a move since he has proven everything he needs to us blues. But he is still with us and I will certainly be joining everyone else in showing my appreciation.

It's interesting to see that the Lukaku deal just fell into our lap, apparently Jose decided to send him out on loan and personally chose us and Martinez specifically to develop him.He made the initial contact to us personally, he actually rang Roberto and asked would we be interested in taking him on loan and it all moved on from there. It appears we now owe the special one a favour, let's hope it doesn't involve Ross.Anyway what a stoke of luck it was, he's a beast of a player and I'm delighted to have him aboard.

Can't be doing with this, we need a January transfer rumour, I've heard Fellaini to Hull on loan following his dismal performances for United which came to head after a hat-trick of own goals against Everton at Old Trafford! Everton to bring in Van Persie on one year deal after he was dropped by Moyes for James McFadden who was brought in on trial as United struggle in 19th behind Liverpool.

must admit I am concerned with how robby will play because he can't drop barkley now and with mccarthy and barry coming in does anyone think gibbos days are numbered? I love him but none of our four central midfielders will be happy sitting on the bench so someone has got to miss out and if you're wondering why I didn't include osman in the midfield well let's face it he's done

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Unless he can't get fit, Gibson's days will not be numbered. Martinez rates him very highly, and was greatly impressed with what he saw in preseason. Remember, if we hadn't signed anyone, our starting fit CM's would be Heitinga and Osman, then Lundstram. In no way are their signings pushing Gibson out.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think bobby will swap gibbo and barry round and also injurys and red cards as McCath as had a few

Agree0 Disagree0

Has McCarthy ever been red carded? I'm not sure he has, I know for certain he picked up 7 yellows last season, but I don't think he's ever been sent off. Don't quote me in that though.

Remember blues all though we had a good transfer window Martinez still needs time to get it right. He will be a success at Everton I just know it but it will take time.I had a bad dream the other night that utd sacked Moyes and Martinez was sacked by us and the ginger 1 was back in our dugout again then I woke up and realised it was a nightmare I felt relief then it dawned on me I don't ever want him back gracing our sideline again with an Everton jacket on.Bobby has opened up new doors for our team with a bright future in it really excited but just remember blues we are in transition it will take time I reckon it will be next season when we really shine under Martinez but if we can do it this season well then happy days but personally I won't expect too much this season the man needs time to put it all together coyb imwt.

Well the dust has settled, we've all calmed down, and BK is a hero again, but dear god it's difficult being a blue! But what a fantastic and exciting transfer deadline day, we certainly don't do things that easy way!

Firstly I want to thank Feli and vic for all they did for our great club and for the great memories, but i'm not sorry to see either go for the price we got, Vic has never quite hit the heights that he has always threatened and Feli is jus not as effective playing in DM, Feli's most effective position is up top with a side that'll play a more direct style, but with RM new style It looked as if Feli was under used and was being passed by in games.

We made 3 great signings yesterday, youth and experience in midfield, Mc Carthy is gong to be a top top player, forget that he came from Wigan, this does not change how good he is, and don't forget that he is now the 2nd most expensive player in our history! Lukaku is the signing of he window though for me, pace, power, strength and knows where the goal is!

So all in all i'm a very happy toffee today!

it also looks like when Moyes went to united that he took his old fax machine too, cause how many times he play the card of 'not getting the paper work faxed through in time' on us!

If we already had the money for McCarthy and didn't need to sell, does that mean we will have over 30 million in reserve in case we need it in January with the sale of felli and anichebi. I bet we don't and we will need to sell before buying.
I am sounding negative I know but having time to reflect on last night I feel like it only seems good business because it looked like being a disaster until the last half hour. Realistically we sold Felli and got two loan players because we were getting McCarthy anyway.

So, it looks like we've now got cover in every position in our currently favoured 4-2-3-1 formation plus a couple of extra forwards (every club needs four forwards in the first-team squad IMHO) plus several other U-21 players (and maybe some U-18 players) who look ready now or show great promise. I imagine that one or two younger players might go out on loan just like Junior has. For example, once Alcaraz is fit - and with Jagielka, Distin, Stones and Heitinga available (although Heitinga is being used as a defensive/holding midfielder) - I could see that Duffy may go out on loan (which was mooted earlier). Such a shame that McAleny's injury is denying him a good on-loan opportunity. If our U-21 and U-18 players do come through, then the gradual replacing of our over-30-years-old players will be well in hand. Plus we should have some money to transfer in players if needed. Still early days of RM's work-in-progress, but a good transfer window IMHO and I'm feeling positive. Hope all of our international players return in good shape. Very tough fixture against Chelsea next - and Lukaku not allowed to play for us - but Goodison should be rocking.

The knee-jerk Bill Kenwright detractors seem very quiet today. Wasn't one fan over melodramatically predicting "a riot" if Everton failed to sign anyone in the last hour of the window?

Think Everton have done some shrewd business with Lukaku, Barry and McCarthy. All proven at Premiership level, so no adjustment period needed.

Anyone who has concerns over Lukaku's ego should remember how new signing Phil Neville was famoulsy greeted at Bellfield by Jimmy Martin, who said: "Alright Lad? Listen, we don't have persons at this club, ok?"

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bill kenwright sold Felliani and bought one player and two loans and sold anchiebe .it was good business but at the start of the day people were expecting in this .the Lukaku deal sealed a good day for us, but he must act again in the next window .he still needs to do a lot more to win over fans, but can't argue with yesterday got a good price for Felliani .the most important business was Baines and bill deserves a lot of credit for his stance over him .

Thing we need to do now is give Baines a new 5 year contract with a 50mil buyout clause

Also we really need to give Barkley a New 6y Contract about 20k-25k a week and a 50mil buyout clause, as if he keeps playing like he does, teams will be after him sooner than we think

But I am happy with yesterady, just wish we had a view to buy Lukaku at end of his loan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

£50M buyout for Baines is unrealistically high.
£50M buyout for Barkley is way too low.

Hi All, here back in Australia it was day time and I was looking at my I phone every two minutes. In the end I am thrilled with the additions. Lukaku is a gun and hopefully bangs in heaps of goals. Macarthy up and young player and Barry who will be handy in the Midfield. I remember when we signed Darren Gibson most people were not happy about it, but now he is one of our most important players when not injured. As for Fellaini leaving a little disappointed, however he wanted to leave so goodbye and as for Anichebe well 6 Million is a dead set steal. But the best news is Bainsey staying. This bloke is a legend. Just one Question. Do you think Moyes will have another crack in January for Baines if he is not sacked by then?

I have to say that I completely understand the negative posts surrounding our transfer business early yesterday. For years Moyes has dithered in the transfer market something, which the Manchester United fans can now enjoy and which we can exploit.

Yesterday Martinez and Kenwright stood firm and held their nerve despite the possibility of being criticised for being inept.

Today we are being applauded as the biggest winners and of knowing how to do business.

We have brought in one of the best young forwards in the country who has proven himself in the premier league. Yes I know he's on loan but he's precisely what we needed and we did the business and got him.

We've also brought in an English international and an Irish international at different ends of their careers but both with a point to prove. We now have depth and quality in midfield.

We may have sold a couple of players but I think they can easily be replaced.

Fellaini was known to be unhappy playing in the advanced role last season and was playing much deeper this season, as a consequence his effectiveness in front of goal was never going to be as great. We took advantage of Moyes's desperation to sell him a player for more than he was available for a few weeks ago.

Anichebe has never produced a stand out season and has been the subject of transfer speculation for years. I think we did excellent business and have money to spend if required.

We have to stand firm every transfer window, sell when we want for what we want. Yesterday was an excellent start.

Popeye {Ed025's Note - i enjoyed that popeye..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bang on the button that Popeye. I hang my head in shame for letting DDS (Dithering Davie Syndrome) Get the better of me during the last hour or two last night, as I think a lot of us did. Should of had a bit more faith in Bill and Robbie.

At the end of the day as you say we have come out of this on top, and more importantly Robbie has done exactly what he promised us, he said we would finish the window stronger and we have.

We have more depth in strength, and a manager who obviously is not going to let players go last minute without back up plans in place but also makes good on his promises, real ones not just vague mutterings.

Faith in the club restored for me so a happy day, except of course as a cure for my DDS I am going to have to read the Utd pages for a month to prove the nightmare has moved on.

I know it doesn't work this way but. in my simple little mind here are our finances after 11pm on 02/09/2013.

Transfers In
McCarthy - £13m
Kone - £6m
Robles - £3.5m
Lakaku - loan fee £3m
Deulofeu - loan
Alcaraz - loan
Barry - loan
Total Spend - £25.5m

Transfers Out
Fellaini - £27.5m
Anichebe - £6m
Mucha - Free
Bidwell - Free
Neville - Retired
Hitzlsperger - Free
Total Income - £33.5m

Net Spend +£8m
Money we had at least £13m (claims from Everton board that McCarthy Deal was not reliant on Fellaini deal).

All this leaves us with £21m. Does this give us a war chest for January or will it go to wiping out almost 50% of our debt?
Obviously these figures are only what's been reported so I may be off by a few million either way but still, defiantly up.

Your forgetting fees, wages, monies to other clubs like standard liege, its not as simple as saying we have this we have that, we tried to stagger the mccarthy fee over 4 years so don't be expecting us to have 20m come jan

Agree0 Disagree0

There is also a sell on clause with Standard Liege for the wig, not sure what percentage it is but it will account for a few £Million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whats missing dave is the wages out and in. If we knew this info we would be in a better position. So what % of defleou barry and lukaka are we paying as i'm sure them 3 would be on a good wedge already. To me the board should be trying to pay off that debt asap but ensure we leave a bit for 1 or 2 signings in Jan if required. I still think we need another defender and actually another forward to out pressure on the 4 we have already.

Agree0 Disagree0

We will have to pay approx 3 million to std lierge for selling Fellaini. Then there will be wages for the extra players we have this season so I don't see us having much to spend in January.
Torbay Toffee

Agree0 Disagree0

I read that Barry was a 50/50 split with City on wages, so £60k a week if we are to believe the press. No idea on the others though.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you net off the wages saved on transfers, free's and retired exits from our club and factor in the differential in Roberto's salary compared to Moyes, the wage bill will not be overly compromised.
Great transfer window, recognised as the best piece of business done by any club with Bill being lauded as the most passionate chairman in Premiership.

I do think Deulofeu needs this place ahead of pienaar, it's obvious to see the advantage he brings, he's a raw talent but boy he can play, hoping for a load of goals from Lukaku.

Then a back up bunch of Joel, Stones, Heitinga, Pienaar, Jela, Kone, Barry, Oviedo, Osman, Velios, Duffy, Hibbert. Not too shabby I believe.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would play barry instead of gibbo but his injurys may dictate that. Totally agree about piennar he needs to be on the bench for a few games as he is starting to keep hold of the ball too much and his final pass/shot is rubbish.

So we got a world class striker for a season. I'll be very happy watching him, but we all know this 20 yo. is going for a kings ransom. post World Cup. not in our league. I hope JM proves his high price tag, as for GB. well he becomes a mercenary next May, again not in our price bracket. but 9 months of hopefully entertaining football. However the board made millions again last night let's not forget that.and we still have a debt to Barclays,, you can't make it up. ITS LIKE THE TONNY MAN.how/why do we still owe that.? This board are only concerned in making money year on year for themselves. ain't no wonder they don't want to sell our club. even after Prince Abdullah came knocking and got told were to go.he has just bought 50% at Sheff UTD. and 200 million investment over 3 years. FFS Sheff UTD . you couldn't make it up.

Thanks eds for your hard work last night, I didn't pst last night but refreshed the page all night keeping up to date. Still not sure what to think of it all we have a stronger set of strikers than last season. Our midfield is more suited to RM style 2 out of Gibson, Barry and McCarthy. I would of loved to see Fellaini fit into our new style but in truth his biggest threat last season was when he was further forward and we playing direct to him yes he could play as a defensive midfielder but the negatives are his discipline and passing was not his strong point and if we are having 60% possession maybe the change was needed. I would be happier if the club would say lukaku has agreement to make move permanent at end of season. I think we should all show our appreciation to Leighton Baines for being a loyal player which seems hard to find now days. I think we do need answers with regards to finances from the club it was said that we had funds available when RM arrived a lot of people estimated this to be £15m BK stated in press conference that any player sales will be given to RM to reinvest. We have all done our rough calculations £15m budget plus £6m for Victor =£21m players bought. Kone £6m + £2m Robles + McCarthy £13m = £21m. £27.5m for Fellaini is this money available for RM yes we know there is other outgoings for fees for Lukaku and Barry's wages and Lieges cut of transfer etc but still a big chunk of money should be available ( to purchase Lukaku ) at end of loan. Or is the money taken off our debt to make us a more sellable club does anyone know what our current debt is at the moment.

Rome was not built in a day and RM needs more time to access and build the squad long term. What last night gave us was;

27.5m for a player who we could have sold for £23.5m
Got £6m for a unproven striker

Got in a striker we could not afford
Got a proven CM and only pay half his wages
Got probably the most promising young CM in the UK
& cash to spend in Jan or next summer

03 Sep 2013 09:04:09
I don't want to be negative here but once again I feel robbed by Bill Kenwright, I feel slightly aggrieved because here's the facts that I'm looking at.

Out - Neville, Hitzelberger, Mucha, Junior (Loan), Anichebe £6m, Fellaini £27.5m

In - Deulofeu (Loan), Barry (Loan), Lukaku (Loan), Alcaraz (Free), Robles £2m, Kone £6m, McCarthy £13m

Money Out - £21m
Money In - £33.5
Profit - £12.5m

What happened to Kenwright giving Martinez a few quid to spend as the way I see it is we haven't spent a penny? Now I may be a million miles out on the figures but this is what I'm looking at.

So there is roughly £12.5m Profit & where did the TV money go?
Once again I feel like Kenwright has come in with his swag bag, robbed the place blind, then sold it all back to us and then looks great. He hasn't actually invested anything into the club!

On a more positive note I'm more than happy with what's come in.
Ed put me right on figures by all means? {Ed025's Note - they seem about right to me mate, but dont forget about agents fees, and other add-ons which inflate them prices..

Loan fees up fornt as well as the loan players wages, signing on fees, agents, all adds up mate.

Look on the positive and revel in the lump they call Lukaku, just got to wait 3 weeks to watch him play unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

The assumption is that RM wanted to spend the extra money on other new players. Perhaps he's satisfied with the squad - that's senior players and youngsters coming through - for the time being. That doesn't mean that we - the fans - are happy with certain players or that the squad has enough numbers, but taking Everton forward is still a work-in-progress. let's see if the money is still there in the January transfer window if RM wants to make changes then. {Ed025's Note - spot on mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

OMG. So you're more than happy with what came in but think we should have spent more? How twisted is that.

Stop moaning and just be happy with the signings we made.

Agree0 Disagree0

You've not added the Loan fees or Felli's sell on clause and from what went on last night with Lukaku and WBA there is a good chance his fee may be significant. It was reported that Ba was being looked at by the Arsewips but they could not agree the loan fee with the Russian Mafia which was a reported £3m as we allegidly gazzumped WBA we may have paid a reasonably large fee. I think we all know that Felli was going and would have liked to have spent some of the fee up front but Utd thew a spanner in the works when the didn't put in a bid when the release clause was active and their bully boy tactics of low offers. I still think we made a profit and just hope its their for reinforcments should they be required in January. IMO the squad is definately stronger as I think with the exception of Felli all the players that have come in are better than the ones that have left. (yes even Kone).

COYB

SA90

Agree0 Disagree0

He's not saying we should have spent more, just that BK promised money and we made a profit. Then there was that pathetic call to sly to say McCarthy wasn't contingent on Fellaini leaving.
Lets see where we are come January and if there's no incomings, if needed, we know BK has trousered it away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres no point spending fo the sake of it. Also we have got money to replace Lukaku aand Barry when the loans are finished.(unless we sign Barry on a free.) We have got a good sqaud. For me, quality is spread out the pitch a bit more. The only place which doesn't look confidently strong is LW. Pienaar looks past his best, and delefeou(spelling) needs to settle in more, Naismith; alright to bulk the sqaud out but not a solution for the first team. If we got Redmond, that would have been it for me. But we have done very well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So you'd rather not get the best (financially speaking) transfer deals - incoming and outgoing - by negotiating hard with other clubs for as long as it takes?
You'd accept below-value bids to get players out and you'd pay (comparatively) inflated prices for incoming players? IMHO the club, especially BK and RM and the rest of the staff, did really well on deadline day. It was close-run and nerve-racking for the fans, but the club's done OK to get the money it did and to bring some decent players in. Let's now see how the team plays. {Ed025's Note - im all for that sid, but give me how norwich did it any day, all business done early...i feel we got out of jail there. there is a fine margin between good timing and getting lucky, if we had missed out on lukaku, it would have been a disaster for me..

Agree0 Disagree0

Give it a rest

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025: but it didn't turn out to be a disaster and yesterday is history now. Just because we all get caught up in the S*ySp**ts circus - whose job is of course to make deadline day a drama - it doesn't mean that matters were not moving (by and large) satisfactorily behind the scenes. None of our deals seemed to be panic buys or sales (on our part that is!) even though their final completion was very late.
I think that some of our fans - not you ;-) - were actually hoping the deals would fail (or other key players, like Baines, would move) just to have a go at BK, RM, and others. Glass half full now - and maybe filling up further as we move along - is what I say. {Ed025's Note - and im with you sid, in the end we all want to see our club progress and flourish..

Agree0 Disagree0

Swing and roundabouts I agree with you ed I would prefer to do the business up front on the other hand Sid makes some very vaild points as I don't actually think we would have been able to negotiate a deal for Lukaku earlier in the window. Either way I am happy with the bussiness we have done.

To The 1st poster the last game of the 2006/7 season was a relagation decider between Seffield Utd and Wigan with the looser being relagated Baines and Jags played in that fixture. Wigan won 2-1 and Sheffield were relagated on a goal difference of 1 . We bought Jags from Sheffield Utd the relagated team so we had better put in up for sale because he must be crap. Thank god Wigan won otherwise we would have to sell Baines

Okay so Wigan did get relagated and we have signed 4 players that played for them last season. However, we don't have the spending power of the majority of the premier teams and so have to cut our cloth accordingly. I don't understand how Bill and the board have mugged us of as we have actually bought in 7 players during the window 3 of which MaCarthy Deulofeu and Lukaku have the potential to have a big impact on the season plus we have some great youngsters comming through. As for Martinez only time will tell but he has my support.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed025: I'd suggest that negotiating to the "last minute" meant getting a very good fee for Fellaini (and Anichebe).
How much of the TV money has already been received and how much does that exceed what we need to actually cover our running costs?
BK did publicly say that all money generated by outgoing transfers will be available to RM for incoming transfers. I expect that the nett difference in fees so far will also have to cover incoming players' wages, bonus schemes, agent commissions, etc., as well as any fees in the January transfer window.
The repayment and/or renewal of the loans (debts) is the most concern IMHO.
It'd be great to win a cup or qualify for Europe via the league, but we must stay in the Premier League to have the TV, etc., income. let's see how the RM work-in-progress continues - and let's start scoring goals, winning matches, and get to 40 points as soon as possible. Then go for a good finishing position and successful cup runs. {Ed025's Note - im with you on that sid, it gives me a lot of hope for the season, i just hope we can get some more permanent deals done, for when our loan deals expire mate..

Felli was a good player for us but I honestly think Mccarthy is more suited to the fast flowing pace of what we want to play and can definitely get round the pitch a lot better. For me the best bit of business is Lukaku, the guys a 20m + striker and its a lot better than what we have, I also think making the fee back off what we spent for kone threw selling victor was good business. All in all a lot better than it could of been and we can now look foward to chelsea at home rather than dread it, i'm guessing we will have to wait till after that to see the big man upfront

So we sold a striker - sold a midfielder who gets 12 goals a year - let one young midfielder go out on loan - bought a midfielder from a relegated team struggling in the championship - and a 32 year old who can only pass sideways and back - the owned squad is actually smaller! How's this an improvement!
So our midfield now consists of 7 players 2 of which are on LAN and under 21, this is really poor - lucky to get a top 12 finish

yes wigan are doing so bad in the championship aren't they I mean just awful, mccarthy is a great player only going to become better, joe allen is younger than that and is still at liverpool so dunno who your on about here and I mean not like we got lukaku or anything is it?, go home

Agree0 Disagree0

Sold a midfielder that scores 12 and got a striker that could score over 20, a young player whos more mobile and a better passer and 32 england international that can come in when were short a do a job, I think you value felli a lot higher than his contrinution in some games warranted

People took the pi$$ out of me when I suggested we should sign a Benteke or Lukaku esque player due to the signing fees that would be involved. Well, dreams almost reality, we have the Monster on loan, hope we still go on to sign 1st team additions in January and through to next summer as these loan deals will need to be replaced at the end of their agreements. Still happy with the window and looking forward to seeing a striker capable of scoring 20+ goals a season gracing the pitch at Goodison! COYB Europe here we come! CraigHuytonBlue

I thought the lukaku was in mjose plans but benteke is more the reason poeple were suggesting we have no chance becuase well we had no chance

I am happy with our transfer dealings overall. We have made a decent amount of money and have signed 3 quality players with one quality and one decent player.

I think like most Evertonians, the relief is finally over. But, and it's a BIG but. let's not lose sight of the fact that last season we almost finished fourth. With a few more games going our way we could have had 19 more points. I think we could all see that one or two more signings in January could have helped a tired squad finish with a flourish. The lack of investment was screaming BK's name.
Now we have the sky money, 50 Million. 11.4 million from finishing where we did in the prem. We sold MF for 27 million BK has already salted away the half a million from that deal. Mc Arthy 13 million. Barry and Lukaku on loan.

lets just say BK has around 88million in the bank before waiting to buy Mcarthy. I feel compelled to ask, is Everton FC built over the hole that leads down the Abyss to satan? or is the ground built over an unforeseen Black Hole?

Forgive my cynicism, but watching what was going on across the park, made me fearful for the club I have watched and supported for 50 years. If Kenwright has any honour he will pay off most of the debt and spend spend spend, in the januray window. He always asks for a Billionaire to help fund the club, yet he failes to see he has TWO Billionaires ALREADY on the board. it is not the money, it's the williningness to actually spend it.

This club has been MY CLUB for as long as I can remember, I just hope it's in safe hands?

Roy_Allblue. c'mon you Bluessssssssssss

Listen finanves are never clear cut as you think, loans, debts e.t.c, last think i'm thinking about is what cash we haven't spent because we done ok in the end

Agree0 Disagree0

You would think after 50 yrs you would have a better grasp on numbers! You have not even mentioned the 8m or so we forked out early doors (conveniently) not to mention fees/wages etc associated with loan deals, Alcaraz signing etc.

Get a grip and stop moaning about things and making up imaginery numbers!

Your being harsh on him, the numbers somewhere do not add up.

Who are these 2 mystery billionaire on our board? If you're thinking Grantchester and Green then they're not on the board. I agree how we're being done though, it's a disgrace. Minus net spend once more.

Lost all respect for moyes, as if it wasnt bad enough him going to united he had to come for our two main players, then he knew all about fellaini's buy out clause why not buy him then an let us get a replacement, you think he would have the decency to do it early doors then get him at the end of deadline day, we were lucky we got players in

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If he had done it early doors we would have got 4 million less! Get a grip mate! Moyes left mths ago. so why are u still complaining?

if we gave chelsea first refusal on ross what does that actually mean? does it mean he leaves next year does it mean he leaves wants his contract runs out does it mean if he ever wants to leave we have to accept what chelsea offer does it mean if we receive a bid we cannot accept it unless chelsea offer something first does it mean if we want to sell him he can only go to chelsea does it mean once he reaches a certain age he goes for nothing what does it mean!?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It means if and when we ever decide to sell Ross Chelsea will have the first option.

Got mixed feeling about everything but sure could hgave been a hell of a lot worse. Still troubled by the math though?

War Chest + Sells = Buys
so
War Chest (WC) + Fellaini + Vic =McCarthy + Kone.A + loans

WC + (MF) 27.5 + (VA) 5 = (JM) 13 + (K) 5

therefore

WC = -14.5

so either the war chest from the board was -14.5M or Everton has pissed significant cash down the WC

Thanks to Ed25 worth far more than he is paid, anyone walks into a pub wearing an Ed25 shirt should ber getting free drinks

We where 2 hours from nothing to something. Felliani handing transfer request settled 5 deals. Big vic and big screech gave great memory's. 3 new signings of which a striker was a must. A 15 mill profit to boot. Pressure off board but so could have been different. Onwards and upwards blues.

So Fellaini out for £27.5m
Vic out for 6m
McCarthy in for £13m
Barry in on loan
and Lukaku in on loan
Well that's a tasty bit of business if you ask me! Absolutely over the moon with Lukaku! Think we paid a bit too much for McCarthy but a least we didn't have our pants taken down like we did with United and Fellaini! Aha!

You telling me that's not stronger than the team that played against Cardiff at last we have a striker who is well capable of scoring lots of goals he will get chances if we let the 3 behind him interchange it could be deadly what do you think of team ed be interesting to see what you would play by the way Gibson gets nod in team for me but don't know if he will be back also only just thought about it but Gibson if he chooses to play for Ireland again we could see them partners in midfield for club and country which would be good for us still can't believe how frantic that last 20 mins was I went from being so p''''' off to excited never thought I be this happy on deadline day and we kept baines let the season start now Martinez

Oh the drama! And I don't mean the Transfer Window but all the lickle babies on here spittin their dummies out! Still no doubt some will still not be happy just because 2 of the signings are loan deals. Yawn!

We are so much stronger with Lukaku in our team. We were offered 28m for Felli and Baines a wk ago but got 27m for Felli alone! That's good business! We kept Baines which is the best bit of business out of any done this window by any club and yet some continue to moan.

How sad yet predictable!

Well done Eds and well done BK and RM we are going to start moving up the table quickly and McCarthy is going to be class. mark my words! COYB!
