The agent of Dendoncker has suppesdly came out and said his client is looking for a new challenge. I think we should give him that challenge. The guy looks good. To me it's what Ross Barkley should of been. 2 birds one stone if we get him. If we give him Ross's shirt then all the upset Barkley fans can pretend it is him.

I think 35 million Euros gets his signature.

Kieran Dowell, on loan from Everton, played last half-hour or so for Nottingham Forest tonight as they won 1-0 at home to Millwall in their first Championship fixture of the season.
Also on Forest's bench was Apostolos Vellios - there's a blast from the past!
Plenty of Everton links as well in tonight's other Championship match, a 1-1 draw between Sunderland and Derby County.
Whether it's players, managers, coaches - or loanees - Everton connections can be found at so many other clubs.

Apparently their supporters thought he was the best player on the pitch. Oozed class was one statement.

I don't mean to be doom and gloom after our transfer dealings so far, but I genuinely believe that if we signed a cb, left and right forward (someone fast, tricky and knows where the net is) I genuinely believe we are a cl contender. The two top men for me would be someone like (and I hate to use these as examples) Mane and Walsh and for me I'd love de Vrij. My only concern is our pace up front, even with Bolasie back around Xmas.

. but sometimes just one player can makes a team tick. suarez did it at liverpool. kante does it at chelsea. you find the missing piece and everything else just falls into place. and I think that RK and SW believe sigurdson is that player. that aside I am in no doubt there will be another 2- 4 players.

I would even play the two together Klaasen and Sigurdson as a centre two. Scheiderlin behind.

Watched both games looks like we are missing Lukaku badly.

I have to agree and its not just the goals. Lukaku used to occupy 2-3 players as they were terrified of him, teams now see our forward line as a bit weak so don't need to double up on them, that's why in my opinion we need a but target man who can move opposition defender around and create a bit of space for the midfield getting forward.

Nice to see the youth having a go to show they're potential.

It's just a shame lukaku didn't pick up the hold up and lay off game better imagine how many others may have scored as well. I didn't mean to criticise lukaku he did well for us and wish him well except when we play them and hope he has a stinker

eds, can't understand why to many of our fans slate the teams performances and tactics and formations and also say that certain players can't play in the same 11,everyone needs to chill, u can't bring all these players in and others to follow and expect it to click overnight, for one there not fully match sharp yet and it takes time to gel them together, it could be towards xmas period before we see the best of our new look blues, everyone chill and enjoy it, get behind them and the good times will come! coyb.

{Ed001's Note - don't worry, one good performance and those same people will be talking about how you will win the league. Fickle fans are everywhere.}

your spot on ed, had a negative fan behind my season ticket seat last season, hope he hasn't renewed haha.

I have to say this. It's another one of my I've been thinking it for a few years but actually never said in case I got ripped apart.
Could we get help in for Duncan Ferguson. Every season with Every manager we had with Fergy as our striking coach. Our attack has been pretty p-poor in the last third we've always messed around outside the box. Our counter attack has been pretty nice to watch though. Don't get me wrong I loved Duncan Ferguson in a shirt. But the joke back then was he could only score with his head. I'm not saying get rid but can we get him help.

Its jobs for the boys mate, (Bills party's) lol, we did go downhill after his appointment, but loved him as a player.

I can see where you are coming from and I think it's a valid point. The fact is we were more direct with Lukaku in the team but now he's gone it's a different style of attack without the big target man. Who would you have to help though. Personally for me I'd like to see somebody like Thierry Henry giving some striking tips. His movement was great and he scored some brilliant goals.

Big Dunc is a legend and was good with his feet and had good control, held the ball up well and layed off well to others coming in. Lukaku's game improved with Duncan coaching it's a pity lukaku wasn't a better student. Enough said said don't diss the dunc
Big C.

04 Aug 2017 17:24:31
Seen as we scored the highest amount of goals in 30 years in the league, a striker that broke Fergies Prem record, first player to score more than 20 league goals since he's been in the role of coaching it's not been a bad job he's done is it?

Agree4 Disagree2

04 Aug 2017 18:44:11
We aren't trying to slate Big Dunc. Or I perhaps I should say. Just saying we've always faffed outside the box if we have build up play. Just wondering if there's some coach that specialises in build up play to help. Like I said I'm not calling for his head. Lukaku is a phenomenal player hence the 90/100 million price tag. Please don't say his control is rubbish and blah blah blah. He's brilliant. Attitude stinks quite a bit though.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Aug 2017 20:20:33
Sync was exceptional with his feet. Not saying he's a good coach but to say he was only good in the air means you never saw him play live.

MOWFEE, Sorry mate but you must have watched a different Dunc. The fella had really good control on the ground and was excellent at holding the ball up. His presence was enough. Keane, 'I tried to say away from him'.

04 Aug 2017 21:57:12
I'll quote myself here then. "But the joke back then was he could only score with his head. " I didn't say he had a terrible touch. Please read fully before jumping. I believe he scored more with his head than his feet. 60/ 40 possibly.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Aug 2017 22:09:23
Remember as well mowfee that we have scored the second highest amount of goals at home in 2017. Only Barcelona have scored more. We can gaff about all we want in my eyes mate.

Solid but unspectacular performance. We appeared lightweight and sluggish upfront but in my opinion there was an encouraging improvement when DCL came on.
Good performances from Pickford and Keane but Tom Davies was excellent in an unfamiliar position.
Surprised Kieran Dowell has been loaned out as his goal scoring may have been valuable already due to the need for goal scoring to be shared around!?

What interest, if any, do Everton hold in Keita Balde Diao? Do you see the player moving this window?

My understanding of the UEFA Europa League regulations (section 42.08) is that for the play-off round we can add only one more player to our already-registered squad. Even we omit some currently-registered players, we can only bring in one new player to the squad.
So, even if we we sign Gylfi, and a centre-forward, and a left-sided centre-back, and whoever else, before the first-leg, we can only add one of them to the registered squad.
The squad for the play-off round has to be registered by the end of Monday 7th August, so we need to get a move on if we want to add the permitted one new player to the registered squad.
If we get through to the group stage, then we can register all of these signings - subject to UEFA rules about squad size, homegrown players, etc. - as part of a fully revised squad list.
The squad for the group stage has to be registered by the end of Friday 1st September, which is the close of our transfer window.

Pace and trickery, I know Lookman will be the future and Bolasie and Coleman offer great pace and crossing however I do think we need someone like a Mahrez of a Brahimi. Just my 2 pence worth although currently that's more like a 2 millions worth.

Mahrez does not have pace, with Sigi we would not need him.

'As for the new Leeds loanee, Pennington has shown his class during pre-season, looking solid alongside both Cooper and Jansson and possessing the potential to form an impressive long-term partnership with the latter.

He may be young but he is a superb talent and, if Thomas Christiansen puts his faith in Pennington, the new Leeds boss should be richly rewarded.

He may have been touted as a squad player when he first arrived, but those Leeds fans who have seen him in action this summer will have realised Pennington is the real deal. '

Good things being written by the press even though it's only pre season something to keep an eye on this season 👍🏻.

Just take a look at some of the club's that have just gone out of Europe and even teams like A. C. were no better than us and against similar opposition. Everyone raving about Milan after all the money spent and beat Bayern 4nil and they went through with a very similar performance and result. Pre season still guys.
