Musa turned down Everton to sign for Leicester City. News latest. This is the first part of the reality check I suggested and people accused me of being negative. Chapions League teams get first choice of ambitious footballers. Next comes Europa League teams. Next comes wealthy clubs. That's our bracket. We get the left overs not the first course.

thats a load of crap Degs, its all about money now, he is probably on a fair wage with Leicester and if we offered 30k a week more he would come to us, obviously we have a wage cap and would not offer more, not as if its much of a loss anyway as who had actually heard much of him before it was reported in the press, also did he turn down Everton, must have if the press reported it mate.

regarding your "we get the leftovers", I prefer to see it as the top clubs get the main meal and we get the dessert first, I like it better this way, optimism all the way for me mate

We will have some good news soon and I for one am not worried in the slightest, we have a mega rich owner, new ground will be sat on the docks at Liverpool by 2020 and a footballing legend as manager, your wish of goal scoring midfielders is just over the horizon mate, i'm no having a go if it sounds like that Degs just trying to put some positivity on it, chin up and enjoy the ride.

i completely disagree Degs, i think murf is right about the money being no.1

exluding the one season under martinez we've only participated in the premier league for a number of years. yet martinez was still able to sign Luakaku, Deulefeu etc.
And Moyse got was a bit more reserved with signings such as Coleman, Cahill, Jags etc all coming from local (UK sides)

We now have a new mnager with his own targets. a manager who after loosing star players managed to slot new players into SH and keep them way above us in the prem (credit to the scouts aswell ofc)

You seem like a real negative bloke bbut i can see were you're coming from. have a little more faith. we picked up Niasse fromt he Russian league in Jan. i believe he was leading the goal whihc mean as far as russia is concerned Niasse played better then Musa and chose to come to us.

We'll see how the window plays out. i think RK has his plans as well as his back ups. just a tireless matter of waiting lads

So what the view on witzel and mata.
Do we think we have got them or is it just media.
Either way it's good to be mentioned with a different caliber of player than the normal, what's the rumours with Morgan, and pelle.

Great to be linked with them Pb, but could all be smoke and mirrors at the moment. RK most likely to recruit new 1st choice keeper next, hopefully Hennessey, if the rumours are true. Don't think we'd get Witsel, Mata and Schneiderlin, but to be honest out of those 3 I'd prefer Mata and if RK and Moshiri want him, then I'm sure he can be persuaded. I'd be happy with Pelle though, for the right price. Proper hard working CF, who holds the ball up really well. Very underrated in my opinion. Could be realistic target too, if Southampton, or Liverpool B team as they might be known in some circles, can be persuaded. Left winger a priority too. Who would you hope to get for that Pb? Grosicky looked promising, but didn't set Euros alight.

As ed002 said on the rumours page he has a lot of attention from big clubs across Europe so he can't be bad. i know some on here were saying he didn't look too good at the euros but neither did a lot of people, Demi Ali, zlatan, Kane, are three off the top of my head that were poor but i'd still gave at Everton given half the chance. even lukaku has been crap.

Let's try to become a Top 4 Club without the miserable complaining fan baggage some of those clubs carry. Not being from Merseyside, I gather the Reds are known for such attitude.

I resolve (as for football July 1 is the start for New Years resolutions) to be positive this year.

Kone had a few moments. I even remember a cracking goal for McGeady a couple of years ago. For whatever reason (skills did not meet the needs of the day, the coaching tactics were insufficient, or nagging injuries) they were not a success at Everton. I hope several players either improve and can contribute as a Blue, or are able to move onto other opportunities and find success.

Many of the players folks want to send packing have not complained, but have put in the work as best as possible in the training room and on the pitch. I could understand some public frustration vented by Osman or Hibbert, but they have been remarkable.

I will not venture a critique of our Belgian version of Gareth Bale.

Hey, maybe Kone can go to perhaps Hull City and do us a favor by bagging 3 goals against Liverpool.

Long-winded I can be, but let's get behind the team, let RK fill it out to his design, and hit the ground running next month.

Lukaku is supposedly "furious" everton have slapped a £75m price tag on him. This comes weeks after he says he is 1 of the best players in the game and he deserves champions league football. Am I missing something here? He says he is this world class striker but is upset we value him a high price? Somebody needs to have a word with this lad and tell him to pipe down because he is making himself look worse and worse.

Did Lukaku call you and say he was furious? Where have you got this 'story' from, he hasn't even met the manager for talks yet since there Euro exit, this story does not appear in the mainstream media ie BBC or Sky, so please give us an insight into your source?

Also hasn't Moshiri sent some that Russian director out to meet Lukaku's agent? I know he is at the Euros but that means nothing that Batshuayi signed for Chelsea 2 days after being knocked out so I am sure Rom has spoken to Everton or at least his agent has.

How is it wasting your time wakka you don't have to read the post. you could not read his post an read another post what's all dribble.
This is a Rumours site after All an the stuff on it is probably about 70% fabricated made up rubbish but the times they turn out to be true it makes you happy to be a blue.

@Wakka read it on the news mate as most people will do with rumours because you know they are rumours, and not all rumours revolve around sky or bbc.

There is the link if you are interested to read what I did, so I apologise for stating he wants to leave due to the countless interviews I have seen him in where he has said he will see where his future lies, he knows what club he will be playing for etc.

And no Rom never called me he must of gave you a bell instead and said neither him or his agent made any of these comments that he wants to leave. Next time he calls can you ask why he has the first touch of a baby rhino?

Im sure as with everything there is no smoke etc, I believe he has from the start had a game plan and was never here long term unless we had success, I think after the debacle of last season under RM he is not the only player looking for a way out, I only hope they give the new manager time to listen to the project going forward, we don't want to become a selling club!

I hope this Mata rumour is true, he is pure quality and what a statement it would send out, probably some posters do not like him but they have probably not watched him that much, I have and he is quality, Chelsea player of the year 2 years in a row then Jose gets rid, carried the Mancs in a lot of games last season and the year before but Jose is back and off he goes again, even the Chelski posters want him back, posters asking to swap for Oscar etc, come on Ron get Mr Moshiri's wallet out and start spending, make Mata the first.

Would be ideal as a Pienaar or Ossie attacking midfielder position with a little bit of defensive quality. Him and another similar would balance the squad a lot and also make openings for Lukaku. He could also fit into a 5 man midfield with Barkley as the other attacking midfielder. Makes complete sense to me Murf. And I agree about quality. and he is not a disruptive influence like some players. Just gets on with his job and does what he is supposed to do.

04 Jul 2016 12:23:56
Totally agree Murf. Some posters would still find something wrong with Messi and Ronaldo if we signed them.

Mata a top player. Utd's best player last season. Lvg took him off in a lot of games. Why I'm not sure because I thought was as good as any player at Utd last and as you say player of the year twice in a row with Chelsea.

Good 4-5 years left in him. Would be amazing if we got him imho.

would be a great coup for us Degs/ NB, i'm hoping it has legs though and not papers putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5, Ed2 has not heard anything yet and he is usually spot on with this type of info, hopefully he will hear something concrete soon.

04 Jul 2016 14:32:33
I just hope Koeman isn't planning to use him to plug the gap on the left. It isn't his best position and he doesn't really have enough pace to play there. It could bring up some interesting changes to our formation if he plays him and Ross in the centre like Degsy mentioned. Either way I would be pleased with the signing, a bit more creativity in the middle of the park.

04 Jul 2016 14:47:23
Mata would be a great signing. Not 2 sure on witsel tbh. Seems a lot of money to me. Id rather kovacic but i know deep down that want happen. Still its good to be a blue.

it sure is anomblue, if Moshiri never came in we would be looking and probably be getting excited by Robson Kanu on a free, with RM still in charge.
