A massive well done to our brilliant football club for their stance on fair prices for fans.

Big reductions right across the board in every section of fan, young or old. The cheapest in nearly a decade.

Everton Football Club is and always will be a Proper Football Club.

{Ed025's Note - its great stuff john..

04 Mar 2016 21:32:35
we really still are the peoples club,a freeze would have been good enough but to cut prices is boss and is appreciated by us fans well done blues.

I think it makes sense where a few thousand short of sell outs apart from the obvious games so the impact financially should be minimal, the fact these clubs that spend money like idiots but increase the prices is ludicrous.

Its what all clubs should do with the increased revenue from TV rights. Next season it will cost me less for 2 adults and 3 juniors as it did for 2 adults and 1 junior this season. My 2 youngest will be 3 and 2 so I was going to wait but at that price I am getting them on board the Everton train which I feel is going places.

05 Mar 2016 09:02:30
Love the fact that it's been reduced by 19% so that's a free game over the season. Good stuff.

With the new investor now on board and coming from Arsenal, he will be used to being part of a club consistently in the top 4.
I hope the manager has realised this will now be the expectation at Everton and not to be just talked about with excuses if it is not achieved. Martinez will now have to work harder for his mega bucks.

Martinez handed a transfer war chest. Observations, 1. It is a fallacy to say that Martinez is better than Moyes at recruiting young players. Moyes recruited Stones, Barkley et al. What has Martinez done so far with our so-called best Squad in years! Currently sitting in 11th and needing to win games to prove he is as good as his so far unfulfilled promises uttered at his recruitment interview and win games. We will see starting tomorrow.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you need to take chill pill DM, your obsession with martinez and his failings are well documented mate but why dont we just see the season out and see where we get to then we can re-assess the position in the summer, but for now why dont we get behind the club, manager and players and just try to enjoy it, nothing will change before then so its futile my old mucker..

04 Mar 2016 21:17:00
and barkley came throught the youth ranks, nothing to do with moyes.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 21:39:23
lets get it right dunc moyes did not fancy barkley,he sent him on loan twice and in the end would have got rid of him,he didint have a clue where to play him and in moyes mind he was a luxary player under robbie barkly has been given the freedom to exspress himself and moyes would have killed his game end of.

04 Mar 2016 22:24:06
I think martinez's acquisitions have been pretty good, Kone the only real standout flop. It's his tactics that have been wrong. He may not be the worst person to spend any money he's given.

04 Mar 2016 22:24:57
DM we all know RM failings by now and by making him out to be the Antichrist isn't helping. Let's see this investment as a new start for our glorious club also stop bloody moaning will ya.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 22:29:21
And martinez brought in Galloway,holgate,Rodriguez,tarashan,
besic, lukaku, deulofeu, Robles and so on. Makes Moyes look like he wasn't trying hard enough really by just signing stones and sending Barkley out on loan and into reserves.

Agree6 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 23:52:05
I don't think Moyes can ever be accused of not trying hard enough. He had his bad points like all managers and he tried his best for Everton and steadied the ship very well.

Martinez recruiting I commented on a few days ago and I was full of praise for Martinez and he deserves every bit in terms of recruiting. He got good signings in at very reasonable prices.

As I said Moyes had his failings but he set things up nicely for Martinez. You can say what you want about either manager and compare them in any way you want.

It's pretty much a fact that when DM took over he hadn't much to play with. The club was in big trouble. He turned things around along with big Bill.

Martinez didn't have the same problem when he took over. The club was in a much healthier state.

Both managers can be compared and you can say he done this wrong or that wrong. As long as a manager improves the team and the club that is the main thing for me. Yes Martinez plays more attractive than Moyes but Moyes left the club in a far healthier state than he got it. As long as a manager does that he is in a way a success. I know people are going to jump on it and say 'he never won anything'

Well he done something more important to me and kept us from getting relegated which looked inevitable when he took over.

Martinez won the FA cup and got relegated in the same year with Wigan. Does that mean he was a success by winning the fa cup after getting relegated?

Not for me. Staying in premiership is number one for me.

I'm not saying either manager is better than the other. Moyes done his job and done it well imo. That won't be everyone's but I loved to see someone's argument against that Moyes left the club healthier than he got it.

I'm not knocking Martinez. Only time will tell if he does well at Everton. I certainly hope he does. If there are people who give out about Moyes and Martinez then I don't know if they'll ever be happy with any manager.

I was happy with Moyes tenure. I hope I will be as happy with Martinez when his is over. He was given a decent platform for champions league qualification. If he doesn't achieve it, that's no one's fault only his own.

He has everything going for him. Took over at a club who were financially stable and competing at the top end of the table. A defence that was very organised. Money to spend on top players like Lukaku £28m.

His own signings even went well for him and now he has a new investor with prospects of a new stadium. Things look bright for Everton. a lot brighter than when Moyes first arrived. Anyone that doesn't give Moyes some credit for that is ungrateful imo.

Yes he was paid well and was far from perfect but took this club from rock bottom and improved it. I'm certainly grateful for that but hey I can only talk for myself.

I'm not RM's biggest fan by a long shot but we have to give him credit when it is due Dunc. His transfer dealings have, overall, been a success bar three players who I've mentioned in a previous post. Kone, Alcaraz and McGeady have all been bad buys but he has had great success with the other players brought in. Of all the things we could level at Roberto, wasting cash is not one of them mate. If he is given a big war chest to spend then I wouldn't be too concerned, he seems to be able to sniff out quality players. The problem comes when he has to integrate them into his 'philosophy' and tactics. If he goes then the next manager has got a good quality squad to inherit, make no mistake.

God we need to win tomorrow I'm in construction office in kings cross and all the other site managers support West Ham. They tell me everyday they won the World Cup which is laughable, and there bigger than us 😂😂😂😂😂. If Bobby messes this up I will personally go see him, Murff please put a bet on the hammers, I also have had £50 we finish higher than them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - your a braver man than me pb, they are a very good side and myself think the draw is a good bet tomorrow mate..

04 Mar 2016 19:36:07
Ed we'll win tomorrow RM knows the 'Comfort Zone' is coming to an end.
Draws at home are no longer acceptable.
They've got several players out.
3-0.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i love your optimism mushy, no one would love that score more than me mate but 3-0 might be even beyond my wildest dreams..

04 Mar 2016 19:44:48
6-1 like when gem mil, Hutchinson played years ago that was a boss game the hammers were singing we want more every time we scored lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 00:19:22
Usually I'd say I'd be happy with a draw tomorrow but have a gut feeling we are going to win.

It will be very tough. I'm hoping we have a strong finish to the season. There's a feel good factor around in every aspect. let's hope it continues on the pitch COYB.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 11:38:23
Seriously be happy with a draw, is that what we have come to expect, from losing one at home to saying let's hope for a draw. We should be smashing every team with our team no excuses.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 12:03:05
ok with the extra funds who would you buy?
or who would we replace?
id say change manager, and a playmaker no10,a goalkeeper (robles looks pretty useful) other than that I think we have a really good squad.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 Mar 2016 12:21:52
Maybe we should buy another centre back, if one gets injured we are left with 2 and then panic mode kicks in.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 14:50:12
We need a playmaker absolutely no doubt about that. Yarmolenko will no doubt be pursued in the summer, and I would be delighted with that personally. Some other options maybe include the likes of Banega (not for me) , Llajic (I like very much) an maybe Brahimi from Porto. I based them on being good enough to improve us/ fit into the team, and also on possibility of being available for a decent sum.

Isco at Real would be a hell of a statement. fighting it out with James Rodriguez for a starting spot, but I'm sure he has many suitors higher profile than ourselves.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 15:29:42
I'd use the money to buy a new CEO. I've never known a CEO to be so anonymous as ours. Bill has to cover for him time and time again.

On a serious note. Back up keeper 1 CB, 1 RB understudy to Coleman, Yarmalenko, and another striker. We need 3 to keep Roms feet on the ground.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 16:09:39
What we need
Back Up Keeper, RB cover, LM, Striker.

Extras if poss.
2nd LM and a CM play maker

Who we could sell.
Howard,
Gibson,
Kone,
McGeady,

04 Mar 2016 17:09:30
Isco and lenko. that would show some ambition. To be honest though who ever the club decide to bring in I will support. Just hope they don't pay over the odds for players just because there may be money available.

04 Mar 2016 20:00:58
a new ground is my wish after just coming back from a short break to Amsterdam and vising the Amsterdam areana it makes you realise we are light years behind the top clubs. so please a new ground just like the ajax one.

Xhaha, horn and a left mid maybe rafa silva.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Mar 2016 00:14:59
Agree as1987

Rafa silva would be a quality signing. I've watched Braga a few times this season when I've had them on an acca and he really stood out. Not sure if the wing is his best position though, for me he would be excellent played just behind the striker. He reminds me a lot of David silva or Mata when he was at Chelsea.

04 Mar 2016 06:26:30
Papers saying Joe Hart could leave city this summer. He would be an excellent buy for us, a top class keeper just as we come into some money.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - do you think he is top class? Personally I think Robles is better. I really do not rate Hart.}

04 Mar 2016 06:56:13
Id take him over David Marshall who seems to be linked with us again for £10M.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I can understand that, both are dodgy. Flappers the pair of them. There are much better keepers in Germany I would suggest - Ron-Robert Zieler was at Man Utd as a youth so fits in with the long term Everton signing policy ;-) seriously though, he looks a quality keeper every time I watch him and the fact that he speaks good English and knows the country and area would mean he should be able to slot in easily.}

04 Mar 2016 07:14:38
Id be happy with Zieler. But if we had Hart think of all the head and shoulders money we would be getting too ;)

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - at least you would not have to worry about a dandruff problem amongst the players I guess.}

04 Mar 2016 08:54:53
I said Zieler ed 01 and couple others ed 02 everton wouldn't look at such random players.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 09:08:56
We have been waiting for Robles to get his chance and he hasn't let anyone down so far, perhaps if we stick with him he could be top class!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - for me wakka we need 2 top keepers to push each other, and i think joel could be one of them, what we dont need is a keeper who knows his place is guaranteed like it was with howard, this breeds complacency and i believe that was tims biggest downfall mate..

04 Mar 2016 09:58:45
thing is though lot keepers aren't happy to be number 2 ed25.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that is a problem bretto but putting all your eggs in one basket is as well mate, no one can be certain of a place and that is the same for keepers, its up to them to prove they deserve to start..

04 Mar 2016 10:22:55
Totally agree Ed 25. 1986 was a horrible year due to Big Nevs injury and a poor replacement in Bobby Mimms. The difference between a double and what we got. Sweet nothing. Aaarrrrhhhh!

I really like Robles and has bags of potential. He's tall athletic with good reactions. He makes some mistakes in his distribution but he will learn by playing to work them out.

I wouldn't swap Hart or Marshall for him and as you said Ed have a younger understudy for him that plays cup games.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Mar 2016 19:15:08
I think if you give Robles some games he will be class, he has already made a difference and personally I don't rate hart.
