Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Given how well Holgate has improved having spent time on loan. Would it not make sense to give Kenny a chance to prove himself once his loan deal ends. Could potentially save the club a few quid, giving them more money to focus on other areas.
Also it is no coincidence that Fleetwood are now on a good run of form since Gibson rocked up. This kid is going to be class, and within a couple of seasons we could have Gibson and Holgate as the mainstay of our defence.
Really don't need to spend fortunes looking for gold, when we already have it in our back yard.

Don’t be surprised if Braithwaite isn’t knocking on the first team door rapidly as well
My mate who is a big Newcastle fan says they were desperate to try and get Gibson back.

Ive watched Gibson regularly at Fleetwood and have to agree the lad will be class in a season or 2. Maybe a loan to a championship club next or stay at Fleetwood if they are promoted.

would like to see him playing higher up in the championship next season, needs to learn to be composed on the ball if wanting to play for us. not a backs against the wall relegation battle imo.

Do any of the Ed's know if Birmingham are realistically asking for 30m+ for Jude Bellingham? .

I would love us to go for him in the summer but for that price for a 16 year old it's probably unlikely.

{Ed002's Note - Birmingham want more than £30M for Jude Bellingham and know that their are clubs from across Europe watching him, including clubs who can afford to take the risks and clubs who will give him a chance of first team football before the likes of Manchester United (who are very keen).}

My thoughts! New Manager/ Coach and backroom staff, the Team safe, cannot now realistically reach any European places, so; why not over the remaining games blood a few youngsters.

Unfortunately DFS money talks and dropping a few places down the league has a financial cost so it may not be a risk the management think is worth taking.

Who says we can’t reach a European place?

There will always be reasons to delay blooding the youngsters. Some are saying we are in with a chance of Europe. Others will be saying we can't risk them at start of season, when we are playing well or can't put them under undue pressure if we are playing badly

There will never be a perfect time but Carlos has to find a way to introduce some of them. Other teams are reaping the benefits of giving youth a chance, even the top sides and we need to do the same.

I think we were lucky that Gibson signed a new contract, Kenny might not come back after his spell away. What do we do with the likes of Gordon, Simms, Gibson, Adenirons, ANO? Let them leave and rue the day or give them a chance.

Surely qualifying for the Europa league is a perfect reason to bring some young uns through and play them.

Cenk Tosun is out for the rest of the season, so there goes any chance of a transfer fee, to rub salt into the wound, we added in the loan deal that if Tosun was out injured for a long time, then Everton would then take over his wages, or so I heard.

Can any of the Ed's state otherwise that this is the case to Everton now paying his wages?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I have not seen the terms of the contract Nev so don't know.}

04 Mar 2020 10:53:00
Surely the only people who would know the terms of the deal would be the clubs? Would imagine Everton would have insurance against him getting injured, and given how often today's footballers get injured, I would find it hard to believe they wouldn't have this covered.

All I can recall is we got a million for his loan fee, Palace were paying his wages that were higher than what we were paying, worked out It would cost Palace close to £3.4 Million over the loan period, with an option to buy for around £20 Million.

But I am sure I read it somewhere the ins and outs of the above deal and that should he be out for a long period, it would revert back to Everton paying his original wages.

I am sure we will know more in the coming Days.

Been reported now that he has returned to Everton and will be treated at Finch Farm for the remainder of his injury.
