Bolasie having knee surgery. Could be out for 9 to 12 months. Bad news blues.

As soon as I saw crutiate ligament I knew it was bad. I just hope he's still got his pace when he gets back because some players just aren't the same again after this one. Gutted.

I'm particularly concerned about the effect of Bolasie's absence on Lukaku, as they're buddies off the pitch and YB is the key assist provider for RL on the pitch.

Kev put in a very good shift yesterday and how good was gueye he reminds me so much of reidy and young Holgate deserves a run in the team very pleased with a point but with 5 minutes to go I wanted all three we need to start how we finish.

Lukaku even looked hungry when he saw all the others working. But I agree 100% with the 3 you pick out. In my opinion Mirallas is 100 times better than any other winger we have. When given the free role he had yesterday, he is impossible to defend against.

Mirallas was better and had a good game. I'm not negative at all too often but was he as good as people are making out?

As I said he had a good game but not so sure he had as good as people are making out. Thought he had a good chance in the first half he had to run onto a ball played in by Lukaku.

Kind of the same as Mori on opposite ends. Both had a lot to gain by sprinting to get into position for the ball. Scoring and stopping a goal. Both decided not to bother their ar*s running. Then when they realised they could of made it, it was too late.

I was a big supporter of Mirallas and was crying out for him to get more chances over the last couple of years. Thought he'd spring into action this season. The Utd match is the only one where he was anywhere near showing his proper form.

I hope he kicks on and improves from it.

Am I the only one who thinks if it wasn't for poor referee decisions that we actually did enough to win the game yesterday?

Let us not forget who it was we were playing, people are saying they were poor but I think it was the way we played that made them look that way. At the start of the game we would of all welcomed a point.

I will concede that yes we could and should of played better, if we could emulate the last 20 mins to the full 90 in all our games then we are in Europe.

Fantastic result, let's hope it has restored some self belief back into our players.

Good post Grumpy. Funnily enough I posted before the game saying 1-1 or we would win! Turns out I was pretty much spot on. Anyone can check the posts if they feel like it. It was Luck more than anything.

But I certainly believe people get carried away. People have been getting overly carried away lately. We are better than we have been before the Utd game. People we're comparing us to what we were like under Martinez. Which amazes me.

We had a good start to the season. Koeman made some good decisions yesterday. Competition for places looks to be good now. Which we will need everyone with the amount of fixtures coming up.

The thing is it is impossible to have the intensity and energy we showed in the last 20 minutes for the whole game, slight exaggeration but it would be the equivalent of a triathlon every week. Koeman is a very good coach and he has the staff taking shape that also like and follow his methods. We will be a very good consistent side.

I find it really sad that it take us 70th min to play football an kick start the fans were in full voice yesterday the players need to step up an play with some passion an press the opersition an give them no time on the ball i think yhe formation doesn't work with the players we have we need to play 442 2 strikers someone to support rom valencia done really well when he came on he deservs a start plus holgate was solid gerry done well but he looks nakerd after 15 mins :/ cleaverly should never play again for everton he does try is best but he just isn't good enough another thing r centre mids are none existing we have none the go missing apart from gana
R centre mids r basically are centre backs because there doing the job of the centre mids always going back to them because there is no centre mids to pass to an no creativity oh well it can only get better 😩.

Jose mourinho got on my wick yesterday saying utd deserved to win and we play ugly football they only scored because our stupid goalkeeper effing charged out other than that they created nothing and how many long balls did we play in that game.

Holgate needs to be given a run next to Williams he looks class every time he comes on and hopefully Coleman is ok but if not put John Jo in at left back please don't be playing centre halfs at left back
Mirallas deserves a run behind Lukaku until Barkley comes on and takes the position off him if he can
Please Santa get us a keeper for Christmas.

Just a few thoughts from today's game:

Firstly I'm pleased with how we ended the game and actually went home feeling disappointed that we didn't win. I'll have to check back on MOTD as I do realise things look and feel differently on tv than they do in the Lower Gwladys. With that in mind.

I realise that the team haven't been very inspiring, but this is the worst atmosphere I've ever seen for a Man Utd home match in all of my 9 years as a season ticket holder. Goodison was like a morgue for about 80 mins.

Cleverly should never play for us again. I thought he was dreadful. I've yet to see a match where I've genuinely thought that he played well, and he offered nothing going forward or defensively, and lost the ball a lot.

I haven't got a clue what Stek was doing for the goal, but what annoyed me more is that Mori didn't go after it. He may or may not have been able to clear it off the line but a bit of effort would have been appreciated.

Gueye was probably our best player, as I've come to expect. However Mirallas really impressed me today. He was our best attacking threat and if he put in this amount of effort every week he would be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Valencia looked very good when he came on today. He caused a lot of trouble for their defence, and more importantly seemed to wake Lukaku up. For me he needs to start the next game with Lukaku. Holgate was also fantastic when he came on and didn't put a foot wrong. If Coleman is fit for the next game I'd play Holgate in place of Mori.

Finally, I was shocked at how poor Man Utd were. They were nearly as bad as us for the first 60 minutes, then we were far better for the rest of the game. I understand that our tactics stifled them, but I thought that they played dirty and were lucky not to have 1 or 2 sent off. I also couldn't believe that they were time wasting with 10-15 (with extra time) mins to go. With the players they've got they should have destroyed us today.

Dont bother watching MOTD Tommy. Listening to Jenas talk we got battered all over the park by united yesterday, and there was only one team in the game who wanted to win. such bias makes my skin crawl. perhaps Jenas can crawl back up joses jaxey never to be heard of again.

On the Cleverly front had did put in quite a shift pressing and protected Baines reasonably well unfortunately he doesn't have the pace or ball control I would expect of a PL player. I also thought Kev had one of his best games for a while but actually thought he was more effective on the flank than in the hole he really did put a shift in pressing the ball. I also think we looked much better when we went to 442 I know we where pushing for the goal but the players just looked more comfortable with the formation. Holgate was excellent I hope Coleman is back next week as I would really like to see Holgate and Williams as a partnership. Mori like Jags is just not performing at present. Stekelenberg made another mistake that cost us so maybe Joel deserves a match or two too see how he goes.
