Any news on Aaron Ramsey, think his box to box ability and goal scoring would be just what we needed, I no there would be plenty of suitors, but we could pay the wages and if we could sell him the dream, who knows .

{Ed002's Note - Try the Arsenal page, this is the Everton page.}

Well on that note, I will not ever post on this site again, OBVIOUSLY you have the intelligence of a wooden ruler, ANYONE, can see i ment interest from. EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUB, this little web page, with only a few regular posters, you think gives you the right to talk to people how you like, not on my watch, and being honest you lot on here have no more knowledge to what the papers say.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - You are making yourself look more and more of a half witted cretin with each post about random players Everton has no interest in whatsoever and then this true beauty. At least you won't be bothering the Everton supporters anymore.}

06 Jan 2019 12:31:09
I think i've finally found out the identity of Ed002. Are you Allan Beswick?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - ?}

Sorry should have explained myself. “Half witted cretin” was a favourite saying of his on his after hours radio show.

Right Lookman has shown today he is well capable of playing the role Walcot was purchased for, the ability to play RW but also across the line. So we now have a RB - Kenny with Coleman back up. LB - Dygne with Bainsy backup (played well today but it is the legs over 38 games) . RW - Lookman with Walcot backup. LW - Richarlison with Bernard backup (also no 10 backup) . Need a Striker and DM/ Playmaker, in my opinion, little bit worried about Gomes, needs a lot of time and not the same fella of 5 or 6 games ago.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it seems like a lot of good individuals who are not playing as a team to me DFS, i know its very early in the piece but there is a lack of cohesion between the players and of any leadership, im not panicking just yet mate but its very worrying that we have regressed in recent weeks..

05 Jan 2019 20:40:04
I was at the game today and the final ball let us down again no one wants to take control a have a shot on goal but can you tell me we were in the main stand and why do some fans are still finding there seat 10 minutes into the game.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 20:40:26
As you say Ed 025 we have some very good players in the team but they are not playing as a team, can't believe this is a hangover from the Liverpool game, there is something not right, i am sure Marco will get it right as we keep saying he needs time, and a couple of incomings in this window, incidently there will be a few outs as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its beyond me at the moment GB, i cant even offer a solution mate..

05 Jan 2019 20:49:50
Hi Penysarn I said exactly the same this afternoon mate, crosses coming in but no one on the end am sure Marco will sort it, its costing us almost every match mate.

05 Jan 2019 20:55:55
Hi eds it's that final ball mate some off the passing was bad as well, the old girl was quite quiet today it's a good job the Lincoln fans were there they were brilliant.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its been that way for a while mate..

05 Jan 2019 21:14:47
Did you see Micheal Ball column Eds he's right no one wants to take control they don't play together (yet)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i never penysarn but hes right mate..

05 Jan 2019 21:43:23
Agree. Oft mentioned Grandson, said exactly that on New Years Day. Not a team Grandad. This lad walked out holding Jags hand (his idol) against Young Boys, he is now a Red, who knew, still you can pick your friends LOL. Came again today to watch Ricky, pleased he played better for the lad (wants Brazil shirts, Firmino, Ricky etc) .

The only defence I can come up - and one or two may shout me down for it - is they are still getting to know both each other and the system. Add to that playing so many games so close together fatigue has to play a part. I'm sure as the season settles down now we will see improvement. I hope so anyway :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 00:52:26
You see the sun shining brightly at midnight, every team plays these games at this time if the year so why should we be more fatigued? As for getting to know each other, well they have played quite a lot of games together now so again not a good excuse.

The coaching as abysmal and many agree with me.
Man United do not looked fatigued since they change the manager and they have played more games than us as they play champions league.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 03:43:16
Hmm. Well no, I don't see the sun shining brightly at midnight, I'm just not miserable like you who looks for any reason to slag off the team/ club you claim to support. And I didn't say we were MORE FATIGUED than anyone else. As for the rest, it takes time for a new team to gel and function at it's best. Unlike you who expects instant results I understand that fact.

Penysam, there was an issue for season ticket holders who subscribed to the Auto cup scheme, and scanning, quite a few only got in 30. Mins into the game and missed both Everton goals, thankfully I managed to get in before kick off but I believe quite a few season ticket holders not so lucky, hope that clears up some late arrivals.

Their goal was crap, surely it was Pickfords fault the header was far to close to goal line for keeper not to claim or punch.

{Ed025's Note - you forgot the word "again" spikey..

05 Jan 2019 19:10:38
We have two CB's there, one of which is a big lump that we paid a lot of money for, and for their goal he did not even get to the first rung on the ladder. 40 odd mill is a lot of money for the one goal he has scored compared with the errors he makes. We have a go at Keane and jeez the amount of errors he makes (Leicester) , so says a lot when our two best CB's are Zouma and Keane.

05 Jan 2019 20:31:44
getting really worried about the club now. Today proved the following are simply not good enough or care enough about our club. Kenny, Keane, Davis, Pickford, Lookman, Calvert Lewin, Sigurdson Tosun, Schneiderlin, Niasse not including the crap that's out on loan mirrallas, Sandro we are a disgrace.

05 Jan 2019 21:00:38
Like you say Mate they don't play as a team. they need time but how much time do you give them.

05 Jan 2019 21:47:57
You two don't think Lookman cared or good enough! Are you serious. And I thought I was the miserable whatsit! Bet you boo at full time as well. Look they are not playing well nor as a team but they scraped through, it may be the catalyst.

{Ed025's Note - i remember oxford DFS..

06 Jan 2019 00:55:49
Lol yes I remember Oxford to but this is a different age and those days when a team outside the top six won the cup are long gone, ok Wigan was the exeption and it cost them there place in the Premier league, where are they now?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 01:44:07
Add to that ucd in the cup winners cup, big difference in those Days, you only had one sub and very rare we made changes to our regular 11, probs why we got to 4 cup finals in 6 years, we played our strongest 11 and respected the f a cup, too many changes these Days.

We now play on perfect football pitches, fitness and eating habits are at a premium, there is no excuse not to play your strongest 11, baring in mind, you can also use 3 subs

Fair enough those teams still in Europe making a couple of changes, but we should be putting out our regular 11 starters no mater who the opposition is.

Season after season we make 5 to 6 changes for the cups.

It is time we put out our strongest 11, if we get a sizeable lead then give some a run out with 20 mins remaining, but let’s get the job done first.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2019 10:38:50
Thing is bignev, it just seems to me he either doesn't know his strongest team still or reads pages such as these. When no 1 daughter progressed to higher levels, she once said to me they (team/ workforce) don't like me and some are supposed to be my friends. Anyone guess my answer.

Made hard work of that, we need a Striker desperatly, but hey we are into the next round.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2019 17:31:05
We need conversion practice GB, watching from where I had to sit, passing was to short many a time, against a Championship or Premiership side the ball would have been intercepted without any effort. Crossing from the right was again hitting the defence first man, unacceptable. As to defence, let me ask you a question, do you honestly think Mina is worth 45 Mill?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 17:33:20
For how long mate? poor again, it's that zone marking?

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 17:56:37
lee1616, when son was little he wanted to play in center mid, so his Uncle and I used to have him stand in the center circle and hammer balls at him from all angles, we also had cones laid out in tram lines down both flanks, we used to be out there for ages and hours in school summer holidays. Grand Son is a CB, quite tall and strong, good footballer but not the quickest so we have him twisting and turning for a while then we knock balls in high and low and hard. Old fashioned but we also have him doing steep hill sprints, his reactions and speed off the mark have improved tremendously. You have to wonder what these young modern coaches do sometimes. Agree on the zone marking!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 18:56:15
Not the result we thought we would get but we are into the next round, still lots of work to do with the team defending needs a lot of improvement especially at set pieces onto the next game and hopefully fingers crossed we will learn from our mistakes and start to take the chances we get and I'm sure results will turn around.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 19:06:41
He wasn't on that showing dfs mate, but neither were the others bar Leighton he put in a good shift, still a lot of work to do its going to take time and a few windows no quick fix here.

05 Jan 2019 15:57:26
Hmm. After bossing the game and getting 2 great goals by Lookman and Bernard our Achilles Heel ie poor defending, allows Lincoln to get a goal back and get it in their heads that they can turn us over. Our defenders simply must stop giving stupid free kicks away and start doing their jobs properly.

Bullens again, Grandson (Liverpool) again, New Years day still drunk, today stone cold sober. Passing a little better (at times) , Gueye can't pass, the lad Gomes wants to much time, defence (I just do not have enough room) . You are not going to like this, but of 3 Managers the only one that came close to sorting it out was the man you all dislike. Vastly superior Squad, you all say. I have just watched my Team play against a League two side and struggle really struggle in defence. God knows what is going to happen in the next round or next League game if Silva does not sort this out. Incidentally under Sam 21 games 27 points, under Silva 'better players' 27 points.

05 Jan 2019 17:06:54
Actually thought Lookman did okay. Baines can't play every game and that is unfortunate, because that was Baines as he can be today.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 17:29:37
It's easy not to concede if it is at the expense of attacking, shots on goal and even goals. Bottom of the league for chances created, shots on target. All because we forever had 11 behind the ball.
What big Sam served us up last season was nothing short of tripe and it never looked like getting better.
From what I have seen of this team this season upto the 94th minute of the derby is exactly how I want our beloved team playing.

If we finish this season on the same points as last season then I would prefer to do it watching Silvas style of football rather than Big Sams.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 18:03:52
Don't have a problem with that Smit666, but you have to strike a balance. On New years day young Kenny was knackered making his runs forward and Walcot standing like a statue or just flapping his foot at an attacker as he went past with ease. I thought Lookman did easily a better job than Walcot has done all season today but next league game you just watch Walcot will be in again.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 18:31:12
I would love Lookman to get run of games but we have to trust in Silva that Lookman needs easing in.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2019 14:29:55
A chance today for the two footed Lookman to show he can be no 1 choice on the RW and Walcot take up the backup role. If it comes off it may save the Club a lot of dosh. Again if it works this could be the balance we have been looking for.

I’d play lookman behind the striker as a 10 he’s the only player to try n beat the last man and have a go from distance get his confidence up and he could be like a new signing.

just been looking at the list of premierleague players out of contract and the end the season in the Echo. There are some very good players there. Granted some are aging and some also injury prone but worth a punt?

Sadly my favourite Everton player of last 10yrs Mr Baines is also on there 😢😂.

I'd take all 3 those, and although likely going elsewhere I would definitely take Fabregas and Ramsey as well.

{Ed002's Note - Fabregas and Ramsey are going elsewhere as well. That was likely Fabregas' last game at Chelse today.}

Why am I picking on you DC? Grow up. Seriously? Oh I dunno. Maybe because you are the most negative poster I have read on here. No-one says you can't have an opinion, but I/ we are under no obligation to either like or agree with it. If you don't like people passing comments about your negativity that's easy, stop being so negative. ;-p.
