If it wasn't for Southamptons efforts, that's got to be the worst football we've played and we've played some rubbish this season.

Not acceptable.

Disgusting today, as i'm sure we all agree, where does the fault lie, manager, players, formation, i'm just a family working man who bleeds blue blood, and want our beloved club to challenge the top 5, as it stands, we are no where near COYB.

So slow and ponderous every pass was backwards. No movement because everyone are told to hold position. Really frustrating as release the reins and there is making of good team. Go now please Sams.

Funes Mori on. What? Felt like running over and slapping SA for that one.

05 May 2018 19:22:08
I really want to say so many things about this team their commitment the manager his tactics the lack of desire and also how keane made it as a player but I feel we are raking over old coals but if SA is here next year I'll be back in 2019.

Me too Billy. We are a joke.

05 May 2018 20:10:00
Unfortunately the fans have been the audience who are supposed to laugh at the jokes handed out by the board, management, and players. Please Lord let next season be different, but alas it starts in another 14 weeks.

Planned protest. Another embarrassing outburst, this time from the chairman of the shareholders association. Fair enough, if you’re unhappy with the way the club is being run, have your say. But to incite an organised protest at the final match of the season is nothing short of kopite behaviour imo. Why can’t we just wait and see what happens in the summer? Be patient and trust the club? This situation is really starting to get under my skin.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

05 May 2018 18:04:45
Because making noise is the only way to voice your displeasure, you say trust the club? Why? They haven't come out and reassured the fans so why trust that they aren't actually happy with this man? I don't do protests personally bit if it gets the desired effect then why not.

Agree2 Disagree2

05 May 2018 19:02:47
Each to their own I suppose, but it makes me cringe and I find it embarrassing personally. It would be really classless and crude for anyone to come out at this stage of the season and tell Sam that he has no future. One minute after the final game, yeah, but not now. It achieves nothing. All these protests achieve is making fools out of the club and its supporters.

How would you suggest they have their say Pierre?

05 May 2018 22:14:42
So it's not ok to protest? But not till after the last game it is?
That doesn't even make sense.

I’m done with football, seriously, and I’m done with this board. A bit of perspective is needed now and then I think and the fact that grown men, actual human beings, feel the need to make banners and circulate instructions on how to demonstrate their ire toward millionaire football club owners because their team isn’t playing pretty, attractive football is beyond understandable. As political as this may be, there are people dying every day on the streets because they are homeless. People rely on charity to feed their children and so on and so on. Where are the banners demanding change to humanity? Perspective.

And yet another attack minded, on the front foot, let's get at them side announced by Big Sam.
Mind you we are playing a team in the relegation zone, at home so we must be careful

What a travesty for our club.

I don't think any hearts or minds were won in the first half. I've seen more action watching crown green bowling.

You should be proud of yourself Sam

I'm posting this hoping I'll be proved wrong in the second half - if I can stay awake to watch.

Still - we can look forward to our one shot on target of the game in the second half.

Inspiring wasn't it?

Lost my mind watching it and I haven't the heart to watch this crap again next season so I guess Sam was right when he said he had our hearts and minds at home.

I don't want Allardyce as our manager, but if we're using his words against him then we should at least quote him accurately and in context.

{Ed025's Note - im getting the feeling that sam is going nowhere johny..

05 May 2018 10:53:55
Us fans are certainly not in the loop with any decisions. Communication has never been a strong point. Could all hinge around any DOF appointment.
As scared as I was with our fate after the 4-1 defeat at Southampton I thought all I wanted was for us to survive. Ashamed to say I'm almost losing interest now and that's down to the football that's on offer. Everton standards are way higher than this.

05 May 2018 09:20:50
I think we should be vocal during the match and then at the final whistle all leave the ground before the players come back out show that we won't accept what has happened this season and ed025 I'm with you on that just hope not true.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i would not back against it lee..

05 May 2018 10:34:36
You can cut that out right now Ed. We're supposed to be the negative ones - not you.

My money is on him leaving. I can't
1/ See that the board isn't aware he is not liked
2/ See him staying without an extension
3/ bear another season with him in charge.

{Ed025's Note - im not saying i want it bw, but this is everton we are talking about mate..

Today's press conference should just about seal Sam's fate.
To say we are targeting 7th and 8th next season and to come out and say he has entertained us this season at home just confirms What is the fans issue with him.
He would go into next season thinking he has entertained this season and not change his set up and tactics. He would also be content with 7th and 8th before the season starts.

Anyone who is still routing for this man to stay at our club should have a serious rethink. Mediocrity should not be accepted at this great club.

Managers have the power to divide and unite us, and this club needs a manager who is going to unite us.

Totally agree Smit but we're taking too long. I just hope we have everything in place for after the last match but, honestly, worried shitless we will be left wondering well into the close season.

Please Mr Moshiri prove me wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 May 2018 09:34:35
What is worse is he said 8th was achievable if we bought well in the summer. This is Moyes all over again. Lowering expectations so we accept mediocrity and keep him in a job after under performing.

I'm sick of the leeches we end up having as our managers. No heart or feeling for the club and no ambition.

I want a manager that says this club doesn't accept second best. We will compete on the pitch and always go for the win. The Allardyce's and Moyes type managers have no place at Everton. Have the bloody balls to stand up and believe you can win then get that team believing it as well. Otherwise piss off.

Agree3 Disagree1

05 May 2018 11:48:51
Man City, United, Liverpool and Spurs seem to have a head start in terms of ability already but that then leaves Arsenal, Chelsea and Burnley who are also going to finish ahead of us. For this man to come out and say 8th is achievable next season shows his lack of ambition. We should be looking at getting a new manager in and aiming for at the least 5th to 7th which with the right man in charge and a few recruits is certainly possible. I don't want to suffer another season of boring negative tactics from this man and I will certainly be using stubbhub to sell my tickets rather than watch what he sees as football.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 May 2018 15:21:26
Anyone think that he might be trying to deflect some pressure off him? In reality he is probably targeting top 5 but says top 7 or 8 to cover his own behind. He's hardly going to come out and say top 4. Then if he doesn't get it, he leaves himself wide open to getting the boot.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 May 2018 17:00:03
NBTB. By saying we can achieve the same we achieved this season, he is saying he isn't going to improve us.
That's not talking yourself down that's just showing no ambition.
Without the horrific injuries of last season he should be able to improve our position.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 May 2018 17:49:47
I'm not expecting him to come out and say any position. I'm expecting an Everton manager to come out and say he wants us to compete. To not be afraid to go for the win and push the teams above us.

He's saying let's stay where we are. It's an absolute joke. And of course he's taking the pressure off himself. Sam is the master at self preservation.
