I said myself before Xmas de boer for me, think koeman or emery as well, Mancini don't do it for me something about him, maybe I'm wrong and his attitude would be good for us. He would attract top players as well,

Murff that was the phone before mate never meant to call you a mutt😂😂😂👍.

With all this talk of who would we want as our next manager I would be very interest in Unai Emery at Sevilla. He keeps getting them into Europe despite his board having to sell his best player every summer.

Moyes would be an interesting choice to replace RM bit of a step back for me de Boer would be my choice.

Nani? you got to be kidding me. is that the best we can come up with. Interesting to read about that centre half at Bristol we've been scouting though.

06 Apr 2016 22:13:58
make ye mind up. ye pissed off about us being linked with nani but your happy about being linked to yet another defender from the lower league. how many defenders do we need; stones, jags, mori, holgate, galloway? I could go on.

I am firmly in the camp of "Sack Martinez" and have been since the away defeat against Newcastle 2014 so it's unlikely even FA Cup success is going to change my opinion on the man.

Given that Martinez gets shown the door, here's a question with a few if's involved;

If Manchester United stick with LVG
If Real Madrid stick with ZZ
If PSG stick with LB

If all that were the case then the options open for Jose Mourinho are seemingly becoming less and less, would it really be an unrealistic shout the get him at Everton?
I'm not one of these dreamers but the man is out of a job and wants to get back in the Prem and we now have the investment that could match his expectations, I'd much prefer to let Jose spend £100m - £150m over Martinez which is the supposed war chest for the summer.

Jose would be an immense coup if he joined but would we really pay him the kind of wages he would command. I agree that even winning the cup shouldn't save RM. I'd rather see that as leaving on a high. I can't just forget how clueless week in week out he is.

If I buy a semi final ticket on Friday for £60 it's going to cost me £6.50 delivery!

I still like rm god knows why and I'm still wondering why haha. On a serious note though i'd be happier with rk. Can't understand why morhino is some fans favourite imo it would be a big mistake trying to bring him in.

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan either lee..

06 Apr 2016 16:54:35
What he did was sign as Manager for another Club and once at that Club he tried his best to bolster his Squad with what he thought were good players, unfortunately those players were ours. Any Manager would do that. Managers like players are professionals, to that end they try their best as Professionals should for their Club and job. We are not professionals pursuing our Job as supporters, ours is a hobby.

Your missing the point Bill, Moyes did the exact opposite to what he said he was going to do, he said he wouldn't be targeting Everton players once at United and that he did, why anyone would now give him a second thought is beyond me, he's history leave him there.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Apr 2016 19:38:08
The main reason I wouldn't want Moyes back is that he's just done really poorly in his last two jobs. We need an established and respected manager who can attract top players.

{Ed025's Note - forget about that sort of money as a war chest baz its not going to be anywhere near that , im not jose,s biggest fan i have to say but if ever he wanted a project then we certainly fit the bill, to be honest the way i feel about bobby anyone would do me mate..

I think if we could keep all of our players (unlikely I know) and bought a good left winger and a new gk then literally any half decent manager could do a good job with us.

I remember an incident when Diego Maradonna was the Argentina manager and was making a real mess of the job. Rumours spread that he had lost the dressing room and that the senior players were totally against his tactics. Before an important match the players went onto the field and formed a huddle listening to Zanetti and Cambiasso who completely changed the game plan and tactics from Maradonna's! They won the match and Diego was soon out of the job.
Have we got any players who'd do something like that?
Just a thought!

I remember seeing something like that at home in Roberto's first season, I cannot remember who against but remember distinctly the sudden change in the second half from tippy tappy play it out from the back to a more direct style and doubling up in the tackle. Yes we finished 5th but in reality should have finished 3rd or 4th. Our defence that season as has been well documented and commented upon, retained the residual memory of the Moyes era.

We will be linked with every Tom, Dick or Harry but the fact is we will struggle to attract the world class players. We can't keep the one's we have got currently. I have been a supporter of RM's and have defended him in the past but it's quite clear that he's lost the confidence of the squad therefore I think common sense says that it's time to move on from RM. Go out and try and recruit a top manager and then build from there.

See Martin Samuel's column in the mail today. He says " On their current path Everton may become the worst home team in top division history. They have lost eight home games compared to two away a difference of 6. Since the league began in 1888 the biggest margin has been 4 defeats. Everton are unique in showing such a marked discrepancy.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Martinez breaks these kind of records. The season before Wigan went down they had broke the record for most goals conceded without being relegated.

Well then, it was inevitable they were going to get relegated the following season. Martinez turned a blind eye to it and Wigan F. C. suffered as a consequence. Not Martinez.

He is stubborn in his approach and will not change. I asked this before also, why will we stop leaking goals all of a sudden? It won't happen with him still in charge.

Hopefully Baines has opened up a can of worms and it eventually ends with Martinez leaving.

06 Apr 2016 12:31:46
I have never seen it worked out that way before I don't understand how we could be the worst home team in top flight history when Derby and Sunderland have both had less wins and less points at home during a season and that was only in the last 20 years.

Im sick of the papers saying most of our players are leaving! Okay lukaku will probably go I think lyons lacazette would be a perfect replacement.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

06 Apr 2016 14:43:50
Well the papers are probably only guessing but I would not want to play for Martonez either if I was a player. We will surely only no who may want to leave or who might come in when we know who the manager is next season.

06 Apr 2016 01:14:27
I'm not sure on other opinions, but dowell has banged another screamer in from 30 yards.my point is,should he be considered from now til end of season.martinez has publicly said he ain't going out on loan. so bang him in the first team and let's see what he is about.we could have another gem on our hands.other teams aren't afraid to do it, I.e rashford, iwobi, freakish and others that are shot in at the deep end.bobby prob won't for fear of losing his job if results keep going against us,bug sometimes it's bloidinv the kids that can keep you your job as a manager.just my opinion though.
