Hi ed, who do you think we should Play up front against Chelsea? I think we should give jelavic a start and really get the crowd going to show him what it's like to play at goodison. Great site by the way {Ed025's Note - i would play him from the start, not only will it lift the crowd, but also the other players around him..i think we have a really good chance of beating them, especially if we are positive from the start..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Why do I get the horrible feeling Torres is going to score?

Agree0 Disagree0

Torres couldnt score in a cheap brothel with a grand in his arse pocket

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but torres can score and once he does he wont stop, lets just hope he doesnt score against us on saturday

Moyes should spring a suprise on AVB next match. AVB is a big fan of spotting consistent patterns and keeping them at bay (4-5-1 with Moyes). So Moyes should play this team, to shellshock AVB into termination:

-----------Howard--------------
Hibbert-Heitinga-Distin-Baines
Donovan-barkley-Felli-Pienaar
---------Jelavic-Stracq---------

Bring Drenthe off the bench and see out a 2-0 win if all goes to plan, COYB!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I think that we should give vic a bit more playin time. Don't get me wrong I think we should start with jellyman and straq up front but I reckon we should maybe bring vic on at maybe the hour mark for straq cos he is more of a goalscorer than him and I wouldn't take jellyman off as I think we should give him a full game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the fasination with barkley, he has potential, but hes far from ready to lead a 4 man midfield against chelski, fck me wake up and smell the coffee {Ed025's Note - its not a fascination, its because he is a fine player already, he is young, but its plain to see that he has the ability to change a game, and a level of skill and guile to unlock any defence, he would be in my squad every week!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Vic's more a goal scorer than strac , strac scored more in one season at last club than vic has his whole carear

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally different level of play, vic has done well to take his chances in the last few weeks and lets hope it continues

Agree0 Disagree0

That horrible RS Kuyt has actually scored more goals at GP than Vic, that's a horrific fact.

I know we were all hoping for big things and a better result against Wigan after the result on Tuesday.
However, it was fluke bounce and
sometimes "Stuff " happens! ( Ed notice how I'm adhering to the no bad language).

So all things considered if we'd been offered 4 points before both games I think we'd have gone Yes please.

So in my humble opinion, I thought we looked so much better with Pienaar back. He was all over the place being available and making passes that went to the intended person, cutting and incisive passes as well. Drenthe could learn a lot from watching him play, he still gives the ball away too muchand you can't do that in this league. He will learn.

I also think both Gibbson and Denis are benefiting from getting games in their touch is starting to come back. Apart from the goal on Tuesday Gibson was misplacing most of his passes, but there were signs of improvement. His general play and positioning were also getting better.

Jelavic also looked he was benefiting from playing as he has missed afew for Rangers prior to signing.

All in all I think things are looking up,
fingers crossed and whisper it quietly........

Everton are almost back.

IMWT COYB

Big C {Ed025's Note - it was a hard week for us big c..and as you say 2 wins and a draw aint too shabby, we need to cut the guys a bit of slack and keep the great atmosphere going..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think it's coming together and Pienaar is the difference. He makes us play football.

Jelavic will definitely get us goals if we keep playing like that.

Just a quick foot note, "What about Hibbo's surge into the box" I think he'll score soon, hopefully in the opposition's net. Come on the Hibbster.

Hey ed! You heard any news on cahills injury? If he cant play on saturday i really hope moyes doesnt stick neville in midfield and push felli on to support the striker! He should play with jelly and denis up top or move donovan into cahils position and bring drenthe on to the wing! Or drenthe supporting the striker and leave donovan where he is! Or (this is the last or) start big vic in cahills role! Anything that keeps neville away from midfield would be ideal! {Ed001's Note - here is a good way to keep an eye on injuries: http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php }

Morning Ed.. Just got 18-1 for Everton to win the Fa cup and finish in the top 10 of the premiership so i have put a tenner on at the bookies..180 smackers i hope. {Ed001's Note - I am surprised you didn't get higher odds, for the FA Cup win I mean, there is still a long way to go there.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I asked about this and they said it's because we got an easy home game this round then its quarter final. {Ed001's Note - easy? They don't even know who you have yet! Blackpool is never easy to be fair to them. No wonder bookies are always rich.}

Is Ross Barkley still injured? We seem to be getting more confidence in the team now so might be more chance of him getting game time now. What formation do ppl think would best to accommodate him? Would he play cm before felli, rodwell, Gibson or Osman or play him off striker instead of Cahill or behind 2 strikers ?
Robbie

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't play Barkley yet. He is quality but the other lads are doing great at the minute. This would be my team if I were manager.

____________Howard__________

Hibbo___Duffy___Johnny__Baines
___________Felliani__________

Drenthe_Gibson_Rodwell_Pienaar

___________Jelavic___________

That looks like a good team to me. Possibly swap Rodwell for Barkley, see how he fits into the team. Peoples thoughts??

I'm hoping Everton win this FA cup this year we need to win something and quick my kopite friend keeps reminding me 17 years.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Just remind your friend that they have never won the premiership

Agree0 Disagree0

And neither have we :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that when Landons went back to la because we should play him every game before he goes back and get the best out of him instead of plain drenthe

I can understand why a lot of Blues Fans are shouting for Moyes to sign Drenthe on a permanent basis, but I really hope we don't ! No I haven't been drinking or smokin' weird stuff......I just firmly believe that Drenthe is a liability to the team. Yes he has fantastic pace but he loses the ball very easily and is very predictable to defenders as he always needs to be on his left foot, and he very rarely tracks back to help defend. Baines has had to work overtime when Drenthe plays, and look at the difference when Piennar played on Saturday. Also Drenthe commits far too many fouls especially after he has lost possession in dangerous areas...just look at his bookings etc since he has been here. I would much prefer Moyes to use any money to buy back Peanuts from Spurs and pay his wages than buy Drenthe ! He is good, pacy & lifts the crowd when he comes on but doesn't tick all the boxes for me.

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Ye well fact is we now have no money so we cant get Pienaar permanent which would mean if we dont get drenthe for FREE we will only have 1 winger at the club in Gueye and possibly Coleman but hes really a defender so i think drenthe is a must hes only 24 and has time to learn Pienaar wasnt excellent straight away, more time in the league will only make drenthe a better player

5 Free Transfers in the summer:
Rodallega
Hoilett
Manolas
Drenthe
Pranjic
= Happy Days
Gives us 2 wingers, cover for Left Back, a very promising centre half and a good strike partner for the Jellyman obviously wages would need to be paid for the 5 players so Outs:
Neville(retire hopefully)
Baxter(championship at best)
Distin(if he doesnt wana sign new contract)
Heitinga(if he still wants to go)
Team to start season

Howard
Coleman
Jagielka
Rodwell
Baines
Hoilett
Fellaini
Gibson
Drenthe
Rodallega
Jelavic

Bench... NEW GK, Pranjic, Manolas, Barkley, Osman, Gueye, Vellios/Anichebe

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree what your saying about Drenthe, but he will learn to wipe out the little mistakes from his game and with him being a free it could be one of the best bits of buisness you will see.
If Drenthe can learn a bit more about the english league he will be top class for everton.
