Decent shout. Not a great level of management experience but a few have wanted Arteta who has no managing experience. You never know til they given a fair crack of the whip. Howard Kendall springs to mind. Even premier legends like Sir Alex Ferguson and especially Arsene Wenger weren't overly experienced managers when they arrived at Man Utd and Arsenal.

Have great respect for unsworth, as a coach, but not as a manager, apart from anything eles, he's a nice guy, that's something you cannot afford, their are times you have to be ruthless, and i don't think he has it in him.

Agreed. The same could be said for the guy at West Brom who has done an amazing job getting results out of a doomed side but I’m not sure he’d have that though no-nonsense side that you need to deal with bad attitude from players.

If I had to choose between Vierra or Arteta I'd go with Arteta.

Vierra has slightly more management experience but Arteta's Everton history would swing it for me.

Both though would be massive gambles with their lack of experience actually managing but some of the best managers recently have had little experience.

Not sure about that, Windsorblue, have you seen the size of Darren Moore? I think most people would listen to him!
Am I right in thinking that, when Rooney first broke through all those years ago, Moore put him in his place for show boating? I remember WR standing on the ball and saluting as the big man came towards him before laying the ball off. DM steam rolled him for his cheek!

West Brom under DM have taken more points against the top 6 in his short spell as boss than we have all season, not bad for a caretaker.

Well, I felt cheated watching that dross and I watched it for free on the telly! I dread to think how I'd have felt if I'd paid and gone to watch it!
Bizarrely, for the first time ever watching Everton, I felt sorry for the opposition when we scored! Thank God they didn't have Redmond on from the start, he ripped us apart.
On paper, we have a pretty decent squad, but the quality of football is dire and that's down to the dinosaur we appointed as manager. We need a young, forward thinking, ambitious boss, not someone sleepwalking to retirement with a big pay cheque!
Carry on like this and even if our new ground has a capacity of only 30,000 we'd struggle to fill it!

It is clear that Allergy has lost most support from the fans. Whether or not we think he has done a good job or a bad job? Whether or not his brand of football entertains or not? All this is irrelevant. He has lost the support and every club needs support. You can see the nervousness of our players on the pitch. What should be a simple pass is often misplaced. Players are frightened to go forwards for fear of being out of position. The crowd is nervous. One negative thing fuels the next and so the circle of negativeness is completed. The board need to be decisive and quick. Our back line has a 33 year old, a 35 year old captain and a 29 year old. This time next year 2 of those will be too old and the other probably on his last legs. To replace 2/ 3 of your defence in one swoop is a big ask. As supporters and a club, we need to make a decision and move on. If that means sacking Allergy. so be it. If it means bringing a new manager, it needs to be done asap. If we start next season with the booing and negative shouting when we will probably have a completely new back line, I fear for us. Young players cannot usually cope with this sort of "support". If Allergy is still here and the booing starts at the beginning of the season I can only see one result. Especially with the new back line we will surely have.

I think holgate should be one of the 1st on that team sheet when fit.
We definitely need a LB so could probably make do with 1 CB. Jags possibly has 1 season left to partner holgate or Mori. Keane isn't going to make it I don't think, unless he has a remarkable turn of form. Williams is pretty much finished so needs moving on. We can then integrate the new CB without too much disruption.

It depends on how you look at it Degsy. We have Jags, Baines and Coleman with frowny face and worrying about age. Or we have Jags, Baines and Coleman who are still playing at a good level that can quickly bring on new recruits.

If you take the CB position Keane has improved dramatically since Jags came back into the side. He is also getting more vocal and confident with Jags openly giving advice.

We need a LB and that's been evident this season but I have no doubt this will be one solved sharpish in the summer.

At RB Coleman is ONLY 29 and Kenny is very young still. he's got a lot of potential Kenny and expect him to get better with experience. However, teams at the top would snap Coleman up now if given half a chance. So its not so bleak.

Mori is still there and he's a good CB but I'd add one in the summer and have Holgate ready for the season after when Jags will probably move into coaching or somewhere else.

For me we need one striker still, bring Lookman back in for the left and sort out the middle.

In the middle Davies either gets regular games or gets a good loan for a season where he plays every game. If he goes to a team just promoted maybe, he would be the senior player in experience and get to understand responsibility.

I like the lad and he loves the club like we do. I think it just overwhelms him sometimes but he gives everything every game.

Rooney should go as he's not a centre mid and too slow for the EPL. Gana and Snids are too similar types of player and Beni is too. None get forward enough or with pace. We need someone to go with one, like the Ox for Liverpool. His pace from the centre is blistering and has been the big difference since he's been there.

Its not a lot to change things but if we can get those 4 players in the summer and clear out a few then we see a much better balance in the side.

Allardyce has done a decent job. His downfall has been his negative tactics, baffling subs and in his pre/ post match conferences he has not endeared himself to Evertonians.
He will be paid off and away into retirement, rich. And we will find someone who buys into the Everton way.

Allardyce has confirmed that he didn't complete the end of game parade because he had to conduct interviews within a timescale otherwise he gets fined.
I'm not sure how much the fine is but it can't be too much. Maybe 10grand. When he gets 100k a week.
So he would rather have the money than celebrate the great achievement he thinks he has done at our club.

See ya late Sam.

I left as the red card was being shown to one of their players so not sure how well the players were received at the end of the game. But, as much as I dislike the manager, I think him not coming out with them was a wise choice as he had taken plenty of stick thoughout the game from the crowd. Him parading on the pitch would have caused murder!

Even more than the derby I expected today to be entertaining. I thought we'd lose because Southampton needed to win and we didn't, however I figured that would create excitement and tension. How we managed to turn a must win survival battle into such a boring game speaks volumes to where we are. I wanted them to be on holiday, relaxed and showboat a little we had nothing to lose against a team who had everything to lose. Won't even bother watching the west ham game, got a deck to vanish and I'd rather watch it dry.

TV

The way we are playing and with the current manager, we must be losing money with TV companies next season, hesitant in giving us live games . Also losing 'supporters' world wide with our negative tactics .
Grow a business we are in the premier league now its time to play some real footy .

I don't want sam in r club like a lot of fans will agree but the jobs he has done is good one. Thw problem is the board its still the same old everton but with abit more money appointments are shambles transfers are thw same always make a meal out of things plus take so long to get over the line we need change quickly also people r quick to give sam stick but if the board were to say he is not gona be at the club next season he would get a good send off we should be pointing the blame at the players they are the shambles.

I could go on about Sam but I can't be arsed wasting my breath on him.

There are times in most games were we show glimpses of what this team can be capable of. Areas where if encouraged and developed we could see a team produce good football. However, it's being stifled and suffocated.

It needs someone to breathe life into it.

I'm not so disheartened by this season and I know if we get the fire and passion in this team it can do something. We still need a couple of players but I believe this team with the right direction can compete.

I'm not sure who. I've had a look over Fonseca and his brand of football would suit us. However, he's the biggest risk out of three I would choose from. He knows little of the club and the league in terms if experience but he looks like a winner and seems a very determined and fearless individual.

Silva has limited experience but he is a very ambitious character and that is a million miles away from what we have now. The football is easy on the eye but is he more of an impact manager. Plus the latter part of his reign at Wtaford wasnt great butvhow much of that was to do with our intervention.

Finally, the one who I think is an outsider but one who ticks a box as a former player at the club, is Arteta. He knows the expectation. He is learning from the best at this time. He understands how to play attacking and fluid football. However, he hasn't managed at all before.

We are though a club with more support for the manager now with a DOF and the rest of the club is more robust. It means the manager is able to concentrate solely on the football side of things. Maybe Arteta wouldn't be such a gamble.

On the DOF side I hope this is also resolved soon. Hopefully, Brands is the man to step in and Walsh is part of the scouting network although, I still wouldn't trust him in there.

For next season and the one after I'm not looking to finish in those top 6 positions but I want to see us recapture our identity. Good football and no longer afraid of competing with those above us, develop an arrogance and expectation of beating whoever it is in front of us. We look worried playing Southampton and Huddersfield at the moment.

Whatever happens though, i'm glad it's almost over. Hopefully, we can get some good news over the summer and a look forward to a brighter future.

Whoever's in charge though has to make sure they understand who we are, what we're about and learn from their predecessors.
