Information from the blue union.

The Blue Union met with representatives from Merseyside Police this afternoon and have been given the green light to stage a peaceful protest march prior to Saturday’s game at Goodison Park against Aston Villa.
We will be congregating on the council ground on Spellow Lane, fifty yards behind the Everton One megastore, at 14:00pm with a view to marching down Goodison Road to the directors entrance shortly afterwards.
The Blue Union’s passion for the club and for the team simply cannot be brought into question despite the best efforts of our detractors. We totally subscribe to the view of giving our full support to the players and to the manager and we urge all Evertonians to cheer our team on to victory.
Everyone who is part of The Blue Union continues to support the team and the manager, but we oppose stagnation and we promote the concept that it’s time for a change.

The aim of The Blue Union is simple, it’s not to get Bill Kenwright out, it’s certainly not some mindless attempt to sack the board; its aim is to promote the concept of allowing the CEO to be left to concentrate on reducing costs, developing our revenue streams and repairing the relationship with the fanbase whilst leaving the board to appoint a fully autonomous group of professional individuals who can effectively develop and implement a strategy that will identify and sell the club to a buyer who can demonstrate an ability and a genuine desire to take the club forward on both a commercial and football level. The Blue Union will be publishing an open letter to Mr Kenwright in the coming days.
It is imperative to stress that our protest will be a peaceful one; and anyone who intends on compromising the credibility of the protest is simply not welcome.

The Evertonians in attendance at The Blue Union’s public meeting demonstrated that they will no longer accept the stagnation of the club and are ready and willing to rise as one.
It’s time for change. It’s time for protest. {Ed025's Note - ill see you there mate..

How is gobs**te Derek Hatton involved in all this? Wouldn't go anywhere anything involving that guy.

Lets hope the new lads don't see all this. They'll wonder what they've walked into!

I think are next two games are massive !!! Aston Villa and Wigan both at home, 3 points from both has to be the only outcome.
After them two games we have a tough month or so....
Man City away
The derby at home
Chelsea away
Fulham away
Man United home
That will be a tough 5 games so winning are upcoming games against Villa and Wigan are so important {Ed025's Note - im with you...i expect 6 points, both of them are there for the taking, and if we do, we can look forward to the next games with confidence, and maybe pick up some points from the games that are difficult..

There seems to be a buzz about saturday, with drenthe and denis ready to get involved and barkley in good form. I think there will be a good atmosphere on saturday. COYB

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - lets hope so bez..do you think they will both start?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope drenthe does mate, as the fans are desperate to see him. I think denis might be a sub. Although saying that who are our fit strikers ed? Victors out, saha is doubtful and velios hasn't had much playing time. Cahill picked up a knock as well.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - i think we will start with drenthe...and denis will be on the bench..

Agree0 Disagree0

Things will look better for the blues if we win on saturday ed and hopefully put our indifferent start behind us and start climbing the table

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - that would be good bez..

Agree0 Disagree0

I have a sneaky feeling that Denis is going to do a Duncan and get his noggin right on one. My mate met him a couple of nights after he signed, he was in a hotel gym, in the city centre. My mate was talking to him and his mate for about half and hour, his mate was interpreting. My mate said that he is a big powerful lad and not an ounce of fat on him. My mate was telling him all about the club, the city and the rivalry with the reds...Denis said that he can't wait to get the shirt on and get going. My mate said it looks like Moyesy might just have pulled a rabit out of the hat with Denis...and my mate by the way is a seaon ticket holder for the reds. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, agree with post and ed025 if we can get 6 points from them 2 games, we can then go into them next 5 with confidence..... COYB !
Transfer window shut now, everyone needs to stop moaning and get right behind the team vs Villa !!

Is el hadj diouf out of contract ed trainin with Preston I know he a **** but knows where net is just a thought {Ed003's Note - Blackburn released him and apparentley Preston have offered him the opportunity to train with them}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

The lad is trouble, moyes won't touch him with a barge pole, we will get someone decent in January

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - if we sign him....i will not go to any games he is involved in!...i feel that strong..

Agree0 Disagree0

Knows where the net is? His scoring record is terrible!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe that you would even discuss Diouf and Everton. We are class and he is a dog. End of. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh come arn! - it's El Hadj himself posting the first commment here isn't it! trying to find himself a club. He's probably done the same thing on all the rumour sites.
Fk off yu 'orrid git - no one wants you and definitely not us! {Ed007's Note - Let's hope you are right with the first part and nobody wants him.}

What I would love our team to be:

Howard
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
Coleman Fellaini Drenthe
Bilyaletdinov
Stracqualursi Huntelarr

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Hmm, osman? cahill? saha?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think saha will always play if he is fit and ossie did enough towards the end of last season to get a good starting run this season

Bez the blue

Huntelaar?

'When my agent told me I could sign for Everton I was like 'Thank You God'...

Quote from Royston Drenthe on SSN.

Nobody faster than Royston the Rasta! {Ed025's Note - ""hes the best little dutch man we know"..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I am excited about this signing. I can't remember the last time that happened!!

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - was it when we signed...brett angel??

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah, not Angel, it was Peter Beagrie, the second coming!

Agree0 Disagree0

The source that i have is pretty good and told me about distin and heitinga a couple of years ago and told me about beckford last season, had no idea about the two this season but had an idea about beckford being sold going to leicester.
She has also told me that moyes will move for more than one player in January, here's hoping {Ed025's Note - i think that goes for all of us mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I think the priority will be for another striker or cover for left back in January as that is the only 2 areas where we are short, lets hope denis and velios step up to the mark and saha stays fit in the meantime.

think people on here need to start supporting all the players still at everton, we aint got many in the 25 man squad so every player needs our backing, good luck to mikel arteta too as he was 1 of the best players to play for our club in recent years, hope we get lucky with injurys and hope rodwell kicks on now and fulfills the promise he shown when he was young, with a bit of luck we might have a good season as our squad maybe small but theres alot of quality in there, come on the blue boys
school of science {Ed025's Note - i think we will all get behind the team...if we are one thing...its loyal...and i second the sentiment on arteta, he has been a great servant to the club..

Anyone heard anything more about what Micky Quinn said yesterday?

COYB

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What exactly did he say? Is it the jp mcmanus things? Ive heard absolutly nothing!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Sep 2011 12:40:26
Surely jp mcmanus or 'his people' must of heard the rumours going around that hes buying everton!? Cant he just come out and say " its not true" that will put an end to it all and we can get back to supporting our club instead of reading gossip and lies!

3 home games in a row! 2 prem 1 cup, we win them all and the confidence levels will be sky high who know where that could take us! COYB!

Once again united being linked with barkley! Stick a 30 milion price tag on him if united still want him then so be it!

Believable4 Unbelievable1

If Carroll is worth 35, Torres is worth 50 and Henderson is worth 20.... surely we must be talking about AT LEAST 60-70 million for Barkley! The Daily Mirror and the rest of the manc rags will start trying to sell him for us soon enough. {Ed025's Note - well they are not getting him!..our youth policy is the envy of the league, and at the moment , is our main source of new blood..if we start selling our up and coming talent....it is a very slippery slope my friend..

Agree0 Disagree0

Henderson was only 16m and will only ever be 20m if he plays 75% of games in a season Liverpool win the league so 16m.

Looking at Baxter and rodwell I'd snap the arm off anyone making a big bid for any youngster. Or keep another hibbert, osman, anichebe, Vaughan, Jeffers. The list goes on. Only Rooney has ever produced in the last 20 years.

so in this transfer window we have brought in 2 signings both on loan so no fee, and we have barkley and vellios who will be expected to step up.
we have let go
arteta £10m 75k p/w
beckford £3.5/4m 30k p/w
yakubu £4m 50k p/w
yobo (loan) 50k p/w

so thats almost £18m recieved and around 200k p/w off the wage bill (we would have saved over £3m in wages by january transfer window) so i think moyes will be allowed to sign 1 or 2 players even if its just on loan.
daniel sturridge
nedem onuhor
macheda
they are just some of the players that wont get a sniff in their teams and i think would jump at the chance to play for everton (first team football) in january.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

We definitely need another striker in January as we have saha who is great but injury prone and denis and velios look good but have to find their feet in the prem and anichebe well he just doesn't have the ability at this level. Sturridge would be fantastic as a half season loan in January. I would go as far to say if we are top 8 in January and we get him i would strongly fancy us for a european place.

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

What your not taking into account- loans are almost never free... there will be some sort of fee- as well as wages which you havent added. when we send a player on a loan (sometimes even when we sell them) often wages are subsidised which we dont know about at the moment... and the final big one that you have not included- the majority if not all of savings and funds raised through sales will already be gone to keep the bankers happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Knock £2m off the Yak price, and 10k a week of Yobo's wage too. Plus the above is also correct. The Argy club would not let there star striker go out on loan for free and i imagine Drenthe is on a pretty penny, Real arent really tight when it comes to wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also, if you sell 18m worth of players, you don't see 18m of that, it gets taxed, so you see about 14m of it. that's why Arsenal fans are so furious over the Cesc deal, we will only see about 20m for it.
