Have to disagree with this. Signing him is completely unrelated to bit signing first team strikers. We should continuously be looking to strengthen our youth teams. From what iv read, he's a real prospect. That doesn't mean that we should be dropping him into first team action if he's not ready.

Can anyone explain why at club level we have u23's and internationals are still u21's. I would think it would be best to have consistency for both.

{Ed002's Note - There is an U23 league in England and other countries have U23 sides which play at the Olypics and at friendly level. England cannot play in the Olympics.}

Just seems inconsistent throughout the FA. I have real gripe at the moment that at u12's level certain areas have adopted 9v9, academies the same playing the pitch 18yd line to 18yd line with smaller goals. In my area they voted against it and playing 11 v 11 full size goals. Common sense needs to prevail the tallest of u12 has no chance in a full goal. Playing on a smaller pitch would have players having more touches on the ball improving technique rather than whoever is the strongest and fastest. Rant over and sorry I know it's not Everton related.

{Ed002's Note - It is not the responsibility of The FA per se. There is co-ordination at the grass roots level and with County FAs. There is a lot to be learned from other countries (France and the Netherlands come to mind) but I am not an expert at anything with kiddies football I am afraid.}

Thanks for your replies ed it is just frustrating when you put time in and statistics prove it from elsewhere. I am not saying all regions are like this but some don't want to move forward with the times and we have dinosaurs as chairman of the counties junior leagues.

Didn’t actually see Niasse play last season, can someone I've me a run down on how good / bad he was? Is it his touch, speed, awareness: everything? etc?

Supposedly 'player of the year' in Russia arguably a replacement for Naismith said to have been atrocious at FF . and Jonno me and you must have blinked at the same time because I never got to see him play neither! ? 🤷.

I want to give the guy a chance and expect Martinez saw something that inspired him to sign him. but the small bits I saw reminded me of a kid who is thinking too far ahead. ie he starts his run before he has even got control of the ball. So he often mis controls and leaves the ball behind him or knocks it too far ahead of himself. These are things easily coached out of a kid. but if he is used to playing in a league where he has more space and time and all of a sudden in the Premier League he is being "closed down" then perhaps it will take a while for him to adapt to the pace and lack of time to "think". He certainly looks quick and I suspect it is a psychological problem in the main. let's hope he gets over it and turns into a fine footballer because that would be best for him and Everton FC.

If RK tells us he's a part of his plans then he's part of mine so to speak. however something is wrong with him which up to now has been very curious to say the least .

The standard may not be that great, but how do you go, from player of the year (with a good goals per games record) to hardly able to stand up? I'm not being sarcastic, I would realey like an anwser.

QBlue247 RK said he did not want him and to find a new club, he had no takers so RK had no option but to give the guy a squad number, it might just work to our advantage.

He has be a complete disaster. Being arrested for assaulting someone in Manchester and then finding out that he wasn't Russian player of the year and was made up.

I hope he bangs in a few goals and we finally get rid in January but like Koeman said he's not for me.
