Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

07 Jan 2017 21:14:23
We've tasted early Cup exits before and we will get over it.
I understand Koeman's frustration. He was an elite player, a winner and is managing a mediocre squad. The players names suggested on this site suggest there is a demand from fans also for an upgrade.
I sense he is also frustrated with the speed that transfers are taking and I am sure if there are negotiation issues Moshiri will deal with the problem.
Overall I'd much prefer to take the AGM comments out of this week rather than today's reverse.

We could have lost to Sutton United instead of Leicester. It could be worse.

Hey

. we got beat today end of, disappointing of course and not what we expected or hoped for. however it beggars belief that some are calling for RK's head blah blah blah. let's not forget that there was only one permanent RK's signing on that pitch today for various reasons. its a squad he inherited, is ageing yet RK needed time to assess what's what. so many positives have been revealed in the last few days yet some are still blinkered. of course RK had every right to mention that an 18year old was one of the best players on the park. the fans know it, the players know it and the media know it. its called a 'wake up call' and if more experienced professionals can't handle that then quite franckly, tough. they are paid enough to deal with it. disappointing I know but not the end of the world. {Ed025's Note - good post that mart..and i agree with it all mate..

07 Jan 2017 21:04:26
All these people on twitter slagging RK. I think it's disgraceful. He's been here a few months and we're in 7th place in prem with a team that was almost fighting relegation end of last season.

Ppl r questioning if he is the right man. He IS the right man. He will prove to be the man who gets us into a Euro challenging team again. All teams r improving and we are too. But give the man time.

Ppl calling for his head need to seriously take a look at themselves.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im with you A&B, for me twitter does exactly what it says on the tin.. its for twits..

07 Jan 2017 21:25:04
Agree completely. williams was bought cos stones was going and we needed some cover, we cocked up in the summer market and didn't get the top cb or support cf that the money we had could buy. can't see moshiri excepting it this time.

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Jan 2017 20:38:48
Well that's the bubble well and truly burst. AGM produced a terrific feel good factor pity the team didn't produce today and back that up.
So what's next. We won't qualify for Europe, and we won't get relegated. So why not spend the rest of the season building for next season. If our youngsters are really that good then give them a go. Sell or give away the so called fringe players who never actually contribute anything, or who are just not good enough.
If we are going to have a revolution then let's have it, and no more excuses. COYB.

{Ed025's Note - no argument from me mate..

07 Jan 2017 20:52:08
Hi Woburn good post mate, i would say the team did not produce today is because most of them simply are not good enough, R K must know by now and I think he dropped a massive hint today with his plea in public for Mr Moshiri and the Board to back him in this window and bring in some excellent signings cheers mate, GuernseyBlue

Agree, to many players in this club taking the cash and are simply not good enough. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and move on. It's time for us to move on.

ED25. I know you are not one of those people who claim to be in the know, however, from whatever your bits of information, can you say weather the board realey get it, is there an acceptance of just what a mess Martinez left behind, just what a big job their is to do in the rebuild, and, a willingness to pay the cost of reastablishing Everton in the games top clubs?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - they do realize how big a job it is now JCW, just throwing money at the problem wont work, it has taken a bit of time to get the right people in the right positions but it is slowly getting there, there is a determination by all involved to have top guys in top positions and that will hopefully then filter down to the playing staff, but lets not kid ourselves mate there is no quick fix here..

07 Jan 2017 20:00:45
Hi Ed, i have a sneaky feeling, that after this outburst by R K that Mr Moshiri and the board will back him to the hilt in this window massively and very quickly, and we are going to see a completely different team by the end of this window, GuernseyBlue

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Jan 2017 20:28:16
They need to Guernsey. if they don't then a season with no cups to play for will become a complete write off if we drop out of a European contention

I get that fans are upset that we lost but it feels like that everyone is still expecting miracles overnight (especially after this week) .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Jan 2017 20:20:01
Should have beat Leicester mate. That's hardly asking for miracles, one up then threw it away. Remind me, how often has that happened now?

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jan 2017 20:30:51
Yeah no doubt we should have beaten them but my point is more that we have been inconsistent all season and have been terrible against teams we should have beaten (e. g. Norwich, Crystal Palace, Watford, Burnley, Bournmouth etc) . Why would that change now?

I'm also not being a naysayer here because I feel like the club as a whole are moving in the right direction but our form on the pitch this season has been erratic at best. So I just find it weird that when the inevitable low comes after the high that everyone is so surprised and starts calling for heads to roll.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im afraid thats just human nature CT mate..

07 Jan 2017 20:53:41
Yeah guess you're right ED. Let's just hope things start moving in the right direction.

BTW did you ever get round to doing those cartwheels you promised?

{Ed025's Note - not yet CT im waiting until my health improves a bit mate but i do aim to get there..and without the st johns ambulance guys on stand by.. :)

Sorry but once again RK opens his mouth and I wish he wouldn't!
Basically saying yesterday that our present squad had no chance of winning anything.
Well you got what you expected then!

Not great 'Man Management' shown by those comments, send em out with a bit of determination, effort and commitment to fight to do your very best, don't tell the world they're crap before KO!
I had a favourite teacher at Kirkby College in the 70s, an ex Spitfire pilot he once commented in front of the class, 'Mushy, you're like a March Spitfire, all revs and no boost! '
I went off him that day!

07 Jan 2017 19:11:17
Im a bit confused when people talk about tom Davies I see a young player who I see as a safety player always gives a easy pass never beats a man and never gets near the box to shoot yet again hyped up by people at the club and fans I think he is a mirror image of Gareth barry not 15 years ago now a steady midfielder with no goal threat whotsever and not a great player in the making as many think if we have money to spend he will be gone along with a good few more just my honest opinion onwards and upwards coyb

Believable0 Unbelievable8

07 Jan 2017 21:06:45
I agree to a point, but then Makelele rarely scored or played defense splitting passes and he was one of the most critical parts of a hugely successful side. Gana doesn't look like he's going to top the goal scorer or assist leagues either but I wouldn't want to lose him.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Jan 2017 08:41:07
You're judging him in the wrong way. Not every player has to have a trick or an eye for goal. If he looks like a Gareth Barry type player to you then what's the problem with that.

We all agree Barry is a great player but has no pace. Davies does. He's young and will learn and get better. His role is not the same as Barkley or Lukaku.

You're not saying the same about Gana who also has no goal threat either? Why be so harsh on Davies?

Hi Ed poor result today have just been reading about R K saying our best man on the pitch was an 18yr old, that says it all massive rebuild coming up just hope the board get their fingers out and get them in soon, GuernseyBlue

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed002's Note - If he actually said that he has completely embarrassed the club and needs to be fired.}

{Ed025's Note - he wants things to move quicker GB just like all of us, its his head thats on the block mate..

07 Jan 2017 19:39:37
Why sack the man for speaking the truth. I wasn't aware until Ed told us that the same people were still doing the transfer negotiations and that! since Moshri arrived. My own opinion is that I was very surprised to learn Elstone had been placed on the board. Everton have for seasons and seasons dithered and dithered in transfer windows. I had thought that with Mr Walsh now in place, that a different more positive strategy would be in place. This window still has a while to go and I hope (Lookman being a good start) that positive strategy will unfold.

Seen a bit of RK's comments and he's does not sound happly to be honest
Who actually negotiates for Everton eds? . is it steve Walsh or is there a team that handles it

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Kenwright and Elstone have responsibility.}

07 Jan 2017 18:51:11
They're not cutting the mustard eds. Ndidi dominaTed Barry. The deal was done in December and finalised so he could play today. I'm guessing walsh will have selected targets in good time. so why couldn't the deals be done in good time.

Schneiderlein deal is also annoying as if we'd not dithered then he could have concieveably played today

Also saw Ronnie after match comments. kick up the bottom for the board, but got to see if the board come through.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2017 18:41:33
That's why we hesitate and hesitate in the Window, I thought that with Moshri in, Elstone in particular would be out of the picture.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about?}

07 Jan 2017 19:09:18
Elston and bill. they seem to dither over everything.
I'll use Mane as an example, they reds wanted him, they where quoted a price, they paid it and got the player.
It seems that Everton have to haggle over everything

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jan 2017 17:03:04
So we exit the Fa cup at the first hurdle as we did the league cup and its 22 years and counting now. What this result highlights today is that we need to be patient as the rebuilding work is done.

We will get players in this window and now without the FA Cup the players will get rest periods. not that i want to look at it this way but its happened so we move on.
City next week and if we get behind the lads and have Goodison bouncing we can get a win.

Let's try and keep the feel good factor that we have had on this site lately going and look forward to the good times ahead.

Today was a disappointment and a few posters have probably been waiting for this so they can come on and spread the negativity, but let's remember, the manager said it will take 2 years to be where he wants us to be, and this is only 5 months.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

07 Jan 2017 17:10:01
Well that's the season over. Guess we try again next year!
I do hope we recruit and shift some players I also hope Koeman now experiments with different shapes and players. We have the opportunity to use the rest of this campaign as a sort of enormous pre season. We can't get top 4 and we're not going down so.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Jan 2017 18:44:26
I don't understand what that formation was to be. When I first saw the side, I thought the same as against Leicester at their place. As many have said Coleman and Baines are primarily wing backs, they are not primarily defenders. With 3 at the back two wingbacks Leicester do not have the space to use their speedy players it is as simple as that.

I know it's a long way off but we got to hope that we don't get 'new stadium' syndrome like West ham have got and others before them. I remember Sunderland, boro, saints and others struggles to adapt to new stadium

Just wanna say I am feeling confident about rk and sw and the way the new regime is leading our club. It was always going to take time to remove rm way of thinking and players. A good finish to the season and could have European football again.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see it making that much of a difference this season geoff but next season i expect a real push mate..

Not Europe this season geoffjohno, not being defeatist but realist. I thought if we finished top 8 or in the top 10 in a first season that would be stability under RK. The bloke doesn't do throw away lines or waffle, so when he says it will take 2 years, I believe him.
