Bobby Charlton kicked a ball against the wall at United training ground again and again and again until his weaker left foot was almost as good as his right foot. not rocket science. but where is the dedication to do that among our players who are so woefully one footed that they have such a limited passing range. they are paid well, have immense privleges. but don´t spend time on their weaker side which would open up the field of play so much more. If that is being taught in our academy we might have a chance of bringing a few youngsters in. Players like Holgate need to say to themselves. I will work on my left foot. and do the work day in day out. or settle for being mediocre.

I like Holgate he’s a good defender but what they all need is to get down to spec savers and get checked for colour blindness so they can all see which team is in blue and then find one that has no other coloured shirts around then find one player to pass to, once that’s sorted they can practice kicking the ball to that actual player.

Ryan Giggs was a natural right footed player but practiced with his left so much it became his dominant foot. I genuinely can't believe people who are full-time aren't equally good with both feet.

ousmane dembele another player who from a very young age trained the other foot and now claims he has no stronger foot.

What a load of nonsense.
I've been using my left and right feet every day for 40 odd years and I still can't play football with either. It doesn't work. Trust me.

Why are you so obsessed with under 21 players? The lad is just an inexperienced kid and bringing him to Everton would not help us progress one bit!
We need some quality and leadership on the pitch to take us back into Europe before we start looking to sign "future stars"

everton football club themselves should be obsessed with their youth, as its all well and good saying that we've won the u23 prem twice in so many years, however none of them are making the step, if everton football club u23's are beating the likes of liverpool united chelsea city to the title, why is more players coming out of their academy and playing first team football than ours?

the simple answer being the step from u23 to the first team is enormous, and imo the u23 is pointless players need to be playing first team football if you value them as a future part of this team, your likes of gibson feeney gordon evans adeniran markelo john foulds astley (argument maybe against gordon as young and fresh) the club needs a specialist dept to oversee this and just this, finding them the perfect club to be playing for where they will play week in week out and learn the mens game. chelsea do this superbly as do LFC when even if they don't see their youth being important for them, they get a fee for a player whose found the perfect club to be at and excelled something again efc do not do.

I know someone who knows Liverpool's set up really well and as well as a youth team coach they have a coach just for development of the youth players who works with them one on one to take them from the youth team to the next level.
I'm not aware of anything similar at Everton but it sounds like a good idea.

Uran, we have 2 decent 19 year olds ourselves in Lewis Gibson and Anthony Gordon, we persist in giving a Moise Kean again 19 years old, regular run outs from the bench but overlook our own youngsters.

As soon as we got wind of our neighbours team, we should have drafted those two into the squad, having already beaten them at Anfield 2 nil for the u23s.
