I know what's going to happen... I'll sit at this laptop ALL Summer long, waiting for some news to break. We'll make one or two mediocre additions on the last day, having seen all our 'targets' snapped up by the Premier League 'also-rans' whose managers are backed to the hilt by their board. What happened to DM's prediction of getting everybody on board early? I thought so Same every year isn't it? {Ed025's Note - dont blame david....its not his fault...

Believable2 Unbelievable1

I think moyes expected to offload yak/yobo earlier, i think a couple of transfers could well happen when those two deals are concluded {Ed024's Note - Yobo deal to Fenerbahce looks unlikely now due to Fenerbahce board being in a bit of bither over match fixing so will need to find another club for him probably

Agree1 Disagree1

I disagree with the notion that David is not to blame because he has to take some responsibility. Kenwright is allowed to just sail through all this without a word of criticism. The press are oblivious to 99% of Everton's current situation and when there is anything remotely controversial to say, we as fans do not have a collective voice to initiate change and the press are so loved-up with Kenwright that everything is portrayed as being a tight and well run ship with a load of happy fans. Everyone has to accept blame for our current situation - even us as fans.

Listen everyone i know its hard trying to understand that we have no money but its just the way it is. We haven't had money for a long time, is it not obvious, we only spent money on players after we sold player's. So were going to have to sell a big player to be able to buy someone, if not then the team is going to be pretty much the same as last season with maybe a loan signing and a free transfer {Ed025's Note - although i hate to say it....i think you may be right..

Why does everybody keep dripping on about what THEY would do with the 'Pienaar money' and the 'Vaughan money'? Surely when this money was banked, all it did was pay off part of a huge overdraft (much like when I get paid)

Billy's only got a left peg. I'm no expert but I wouldn't play him on the right

Agree1 Disagree0

Dropping Neville?, Bily on the right? the man is useless anywhere other than behind the striker

Agree1 Disagree0

Billy's only got a left peg. I'm no expert but I wouldn't play him on the right

Agree0 Disagree0

Because he only has a left peg i would only play him on the right so he can cut inside and shoot more often on his left

Agree0 Disagree0

Signing sturridge would be a great move for us. He has bags of talent and was great at bolton last season, he is the sort of player we need to sign if we are going to move the club forward next season

Agree1 Disagree0

Why is there no mention of Gueye? he made a very good impression in my opinion at the end of the season and i think he will be a permanent fixture in the coming season. He reminds me of Saha in his quality and play and i predict big things

Agree1 Disagree0

Good shout about gueye, looks a promising player and we could see a lot more from him next season

Ed, any news as to whether Everton have aquired a work permit for Araz Abdullayev? {Ed024's Note - "reported" A work permit has been applied for as part of the original deal in January when he left Neftchi Baku, not actualy heard anything about the kid since other than sell on clause included in deal, sorry

Why all the rumours about shane long moyes keeps his targets quiet who knew that he was signing fellaini it was a shock to sky sports they were saying 2 names in kevin kuranyi and lukas podolski we wil sign 2 to 3 players and offload 2 to 3 players and everton just made muny frm me been waiting for my shirt for a month and wen i ring the fob me off i hope we sign sum1 gud wi my 25 pnd lol it wil pay fr a taxi to take yak n yobo to coventry lol i wuld luk at joey barton chris brunt and owen hargreaves n striker carew or marco streller or hugo almieda {Ed025's Note - sorry you had to wait for your shirt...but with being the peoples club...and most popular team on merseyside ..there is bound to be a high demand..

Would like to know were the comments came from that sportin lisbon turned a bid of 6mill down frm everton for striker djalo. If we had that money surely we would av bid for nzogbia etc we seem to, as a club, bid for players knowin they will get rejected, in order to get us to renew season tickets etc, happens every year. Kenwright out

If I was David Moyes and for the past god knows how many years I was told from my Chairman "sorry no funds available" I would have been well off... Also any investor / sheik / business man with any sense should have well snapped Everton up, here's whats on offer; A world class manager, a low budget quality team, cheap wage bill, half decent stadium a state off the art training ground / youth academy and to top all that off, it's all located in a cracking City with loyal fans. {Ed024's Note - And still no takers, so what's going on!!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

The board is whats going on. i fully respect what kenwright has done for everton but i feel its time that the whole club is sold to a invester with money. not just some to someone like robert earle {Ed025's Note - the sooner we get an investor...the better

I just want to point out that although i would like to see everton by new players this summer, we still have a good team. The big teams may well spend a lot of money on players but am sure we had an awesome record agsainst the top 6 last season, we only lost against arsenal twice and man utd once. Dusnt that say it all {Ed024's Note - Agreed, We are in tough situation where is takes shed loads of cash to improve on what we already got

Wes Brown signs a four-year deal at Sunderland. (sooo gutted, ha) {Ed025's Note - thank the lord

Every time Moyes looks at a player the copy cat no-brainers like Redknapp and Pardew try to sign them instead. "If Moyes likes him he must be good - so we'll have him instead, as we can bid more" - then they get them and can't do what Moyes does and turn them into a good player.
You'd think some of these lower team players would much rather have Moyes coaching them than Harry 'stick him on the bench then out on loan' Redknapp wrecking their careers but they don't seem to see it like that. Look at what Moyes did for, Jags Baines and Lescott.
Moyes can make a Championship player into an england International - so why aren't some of these thick players not queuing to sign for Everton/Moyes?
Their loss anyway. {Ed025's Note - great post mate...i agree with all that

I wish all you fifa 11 gamers would shut up about defoe , he would cost about 3 times as much as we d get for the yak , is the same age and not much better so get off your play station and start going the match

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Are you the only one who goes the match then are you haha

Agree1 Disagree0

You're on drugs Apart from last season when he was injured in the England game, Defoe stands head and shoulders above Yak and would love him on board...just not sure about him and Beckford working in tandem. I was actually one of the few who expressed caution about signing Yak in the first place and admittedly, the year he did well I helped myself to a huge piece of humble pie. However, I have now been fully vindicated as nobody at all is interested. The turmoil at Fenerbache also appears to have ended Yobo's transfer for the time being so we are back at square 1 in terms of funds available to our great manager. Am I right in thinking Paul McCartney is a blue. Why doesn't Uncle Bill go cap in hand??

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Jul 2011 12:32:39
How in the world have we not sold Yobo yet; will he be like a new signing...Watch this space...Kenwrong really P*sses me off... {Ed024's Note - The board of Fenerbahce have been indicted in mach fixing probe so no joy on that front

can someone tell me wat has happened to the twelve million pound we got for the sale of the old bellfield plot ???

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Probably swallowed up in the running costs... {Ed025's Note - it was re-invested...in finch farm.

Agree1 Disagree1

Finch farm was built well before we sold bellfield as the council refuse planning permission for new housesw it was only sold less that 6 months ago so you are wronge

Ed - is there any real transfer news out there...we would love to have the vast majority that we are continously linked with, at our club DM has a proven premiership track record but unfortunately I dont think track records play apart in todays game...its all about the money and we dont have any

Think a whip round is needed, it would be great just to bring in 2 players such as Defo and N'zogbia. I'll go halfs with BK if i win the Euro's ha more dreams.

Thanks

Ben {Ed024's Note - Moyes will sort out whatever He can with whatever funds he has, I don't think he would have stayed this summer if he thought the club was not in a position to move forward, now that may be with a pot of gold but more than likely a pot free transfers and 1 big buy. Now on to rumours remember no smoke without fire, Lonergan, Long, James Mclean(Derry FC kid) strong possibilities, Nzogbia, Sturridge, Defoe I think unlikeky due to finance for fee or wages. I trust Moyes to make sound choices on player recruitment he has very rarely let us down.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I agree Ed, im starting to think there must be something there otherwise i doubt Moyes would have stayed and put up with this for another season, because it will start to make him look like an unambitious manager before long, he could have gone to Villa where there was money, and built his own squad easy, they have made(or will make) £36m from just 2 players + whatever else, there has to be a reason he has chosen to stay

Dont worry fellow blues with Billy liar at the helm we will be ok.2 failed ground moves, NTL, Sportress fund, banning AGMS, Gosling saga, Fernandez Saga, Watch this space, Goodison mortgaged to the hilt, paying 1m a year for 50yrs for Finch Farm(9m), Bank loaned to the limit and now having to sell players to pay the bank even though under moyes we only have a net spend of 15 to 20m in 9yrs.And the reason why they havent started building the new complex at the park end is because they didnt know that the council(or someone else) owns the land (TOTAL AMATEURISH).Kenwright and his cronies are ruining are club but unfortunatley some/many blues think hes doing a good job hahaha.10yrs in charge no nearer sorting the ground issue out or any investment but at least are debt has more than tripled for all them spending sprees we have had LOL PADDOCKBLUE.

Believable7 Unbelievable8

Everyone has there own opinion but everything i put in that comment is FACT not opinion or rumour which proves many blues think he is doing a good job (3 people have disagreed). That is why Billy Liar sits comfy in the Boardroom. Some people need to get there heads out of the sand.

Agree5 Disagree2

You sound like Yankee George off the Everton Blueroom. And thats not a compliment

Why is it that someone like Steve Bruce employed at a small club whose only aim is to make up the numbers in the Premier League is consistently backed by his board. He's about to sign his 9th player for God sake BK...get those short arms digging into those deep pockets.. NOW
