I think the Right Winger position needs to be sorted next. I think that we don't really have a natural RM who is good enough to play in the first xi week in week out. Personally, I'd love Jakub Blaszczykowksi for that position, but I can't see us getting him. Any ideas lads? The only other ideas I've got are Jonathan Pitroipa and Jimmy Briand.

Some good ideas Gary and I'd love Blaszcyzkowski too but can't Naismith play there? But I do agree that it's a weakened area of our first xi

Yassine El Ghanassy. Cheap (2-3M), talented and will probably leave La Gantoise this summer. Luciano Narsingh from Heerenveen would also be a great addition, but would cost a little more.

the belgian guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally i hope we dont sign him, it would cost more than a season ticket to get his name printed on your shirt, secondly i have just worked out his name is worth 590 on a Scrabble board.

Agree0 Disagree0

You've far to much time on your hands, scrabble boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i would personally luv to see some sort of loan deal for Adam Johnson. I think he would be an excellent addition

Agree0 Disagree0

To much drink and scrabble without sense me thinks. Any true or source.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Moyes is keeping tabs on Weiss and Ince for that right wing position, and not to mention, looks like Donovan will join Everton probably in January

Agree0 Disagree0

We have a right winger naismith

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith best position is not on the wing, just behind the front man is his best position. Links the midfield with the forward line very well. Will find space there an set up the Jellyman with clever through balls as well as chipping in with few goals as well. So a speedy right winger would be very welcome. Hiolett would be ideal if he dropped his over the top wage demands or Donavan if that deal can be done in this window, I am not sure. Might have to wait till Jan for that.

Alrite bluenoses Steve here i post regularly on here met Leon Osman's dad today Derick.

I am a landscape gardener in the North West area and we were working on a conservatory today in UpHolland (between Skelmersdale and Wigan and it turned out to be Derick Osman's house!

I didn't know who he was until one of the lads told me, he noticed my Everton Tattoo on my leg and we got talking about Everton told me he and his family were reds but since Leon joined Everton (age 7) they have all converted, was telling me interesting stories said that Leon had decided to hand in a transfer request once under Walter Smith because Walter told him he wasn't giving youth a go because he needed experienced players given the situation we were in (relegation fight every season) said he even had a two clubs interested in him (Birmingham and Blackburn) but when Moyes arrived Moyes told the likes of Hibbert, Osman etc that he will give them a chance so he decided to stay and what a choice in the end!

Anyway OBVIOUSLY i asked him did he have any inside info on transfers and stuff like that (as you do) haha and he said

"All i can say is that Moyes has spoke to the senior players (Osman included) and told them that he will be getting business done early this summer and more business than previous years and he told the senior lads this because he likes them to help new signings settle in and welcome them" he also said that "Pienaar will 100% be signing before they go on tour to China which is in 2 weeks"

He said that Leon has played the last three seasons with an ankle injury which is amazing considering how well he plays at times and the stick he gets when things go wrong.

He was a really funny fella and was obviously proud of Leon, showing us a few pictures and jerseys that Leon had given him from when he has swapped shirts with players.

Hope him or anyone he knows doesn't go on this site coz were working on his garden until wednesday next week and i don't want him knowing that iv'e told people on here what he told me today !

He's 100% confident that Pienaar will be here and 2 or 3 more players before this month is out!! Moyes wants ALL his business done and finshed before Man United game

Couldn't wait to get in from work and get on here to let everyone and obviously ed025 know what he told me!

ok everyone, we would all love a new owner with plenty of money but... we have made some decent signings from january to now, with it looking likely more are coming in. we are looking like a very strong team and it strikes me that a takeover at this point would be disruptive to the club because we could end up with a bunch of rash bigger money signings at the last minute which throw moyes off his gameplan for the start of the season. everyone knows we end every season very strong so if things stay as they are now, we could get that much needed good start to a season and who knows what might happen. i think for now we should not be concerned with a takeover, at least until the transfer window shuts.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

I fully agree. Moyes has been so calm at these times in recent years and it happens so often, that he knows what he's doing in this situattion.

In recent interviews, etc, he's been upbeat and I'm pretty sure he has everything planned for this upcoming season.

And, as you mentioned, we finished last season as one of the best teams in the league, and with us signing Naismith so early on, Moyes has already started building a team around Felli and Gibbo. With all due respect to Bill and the board, they don't exactly give Moyes mega millions in each window, but our club is never in the news for financial instability. The club is doing very well, football wise and financially, so if we ever did get taken over, I think it would be best to happen in the January area, that's assuming we are having a bad season at that point.

I'll finish up on my transfer views. Everyone says they don't want Rodallega, however he is 26 and, knowing Moyes, won't be counted on for getting the important match winners. He is a very good player, who might not exactly score every chance he gets but we didn't expect Saha to do that either. But it's different this time as Rodallega isn't in his 30s.

Whoever is signed in this window is signed for a reason: because Moyes knows he can do a job for us.

I think with Naismith (signed), Pranjic, Pienaar and Rodallega and maybe even a winger (Weiss or Ince. Ince rumours are picking up) I would be undoubtedly happy. Even happier if Baines and Felli don't go.

Lastly, I'm almost certain we don't need to worry about RB, at least until January, and that's if we are doing really bad. Because Hibbo, a blue at heart, and Neville, valuable experience and a good player on his day, are doing great jobs, jobs which we should be fine with for this season.

Whatever happens, happens. Come August 20th, I'm sure Moyes will be extremely happy with the transfers, in and out.

We dont actually need much new faces, the likes of Rodwell, Barkley, Vellios, Gueye and coleman will all improve next year

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Rodwell = injury prone
Barkley = not ready yet
Vellios = not ready yet
Gueye = not ready yet but getting there
Coleman = getting there

So basically we need new faces..................

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the poster. Although we do need new faces, every club does, we don't need a revamp. A back up striker and maybe a winger, plus anyone else that comes for whatever reason.

And what does the replier mean by saying Rodwell is injury prone? He's 21, missed last season because of injury and that's about it. It doesn't make him injury prone because he missed one season. Perhaps if he missed this upcoming season because of more injuries then you that could be true, but 1 season is just unlucky. Wayne Rooney broke his metatarsals a few times for United, does that make him injury prone because he missed a season?

Vellios, I agree needs more chances.
Barkley, maybe a loan to the Championship or League 1 then he might be ready.
Coleman, I agree might not be good enough, but he just needs another good season (his 2nd) and you never know.
Gueye, as you say, getting there, another season maybe.

It's mainly about gaining experience, but I'd just like to stress that Rodwell is not 'injury prone'.

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you will find Rodwell has a chronic hamstring I injury... Means he has a reoccurring hamstring injury, he hardly played last hear because when he was in 3 month injury rehab his hamstring kept straining.....................

This is good for Everton at the moment so many decent players on a free the likes of Naismith(Already got) Hoilett, Rodallega and Aluko these are players who we can use for just backups and some of them are good enough for first team action! If we sell Anichebe, Baxter, Yobo and maybe Cahill we can pay for Pienaar and sort out the Hoilett problem we must have at least 2m sitting there even if we don't sell anyone! what you reckon ed?

I'm not trying to take credit for this idea - I've just seen it in a post on the official Everton website. I just thought it was a cracking idea & wondered what you guys thought of it. The poster suggested that, with all the recent transfer deals & close links that have been forged with Rangers, that maybe we should be offering to play a friendly with Rangers to help their financial plight.
I've been really impressed with the attitude, friendliness & support from the Rangers fans on our site recently & would like to be able to help their club in any way we can. The SPL won't be the same without them. (& this comes from someone who normally favours Celtic! { One of my distant Scottish relatives played for them in the 50's})

Toffee Tezza {Ed025's Note - im all for that tezza

We could also send 3 or 4 of our fringe players to them on loan to get some first team action and help them get up the leagues back to where they belong. since we have took there best 2 players, plus they are not aloud to buy, just loans

It would also give moysie a good chance to scout whatever talented players they have left.... What do people think about coleman. Do yous think he's not good enough or that moyes is telling him to defend an stoped his natural attacking. Thought he was the bissness when he burst into the first team. Also think fans. Need to get of rodwells back. Why have always got to have a wipping boy in our team. Hibbert-- osman--- neville-- an now its rodwell. {Ed025's Note - i know!!..we should all be picking on vic..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Ha made me laugh ed. Anichebe is a joke but also baxter at 1.5 mil haha.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anichebe is not a bad player would do a job at a club like Wigan. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I,M not convinced about coleman at all, he's had some good games for us but ususally againsnt the lesser teams. when he comes up against the better teams he struggles to get in the game, hes not a bad squaddie but the way its going our squad is getting stronger and when everyone is fit he could miss out. ( wella ) {Ed025's Note - good assessment wella..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you all picking on our youngsters,
rodwell is a england in the next few years, colman had injurys last year still only young.
Vic yeah not the greatest and hibbo as done a great job over the 10 years like osman, if anything you shold back all of them unless they make a mistake, as on the pitch it is a team not just one person and theat what is everton is about, so be positive as we have already made one signing and will make more so be positive and optamistic for next season, not all doom and gloom like everyone think it is, where the best club out there with a pound to player ratio, and if any other team spends more bully them, but look where WE are not where THEY are. Where blue and proud.

y0rksh1re_blue

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not convinced about him but always seems to do well when he's up against Ashley Cole!give him another season I think!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Coleman deserves 1 more season with us. His first season he flew out the traps, he was positive, quick, direct, took players on and he scored 7 goals i think, also people forget he came 2nd to Wilshere in the PFA Young Player Of The Year!
Last season to give him an excuse he was suspended for the first 3 games and then injured for the next 3 then he played till october got injured till christmas then he came back got injured in january and only got back in the team in april so he was stop start all season with no chance of building confidence or momentum due to not having a run of 5-6 games on the bounce.
If he stays fit this summer who knows we might see the Coleman we first saw 2 seasons ago, if he doesn't perform then we should look to sell next summer.

He's still only 23 and with the likes of Barkley, Junior, Green, Rodwell, Duffy, Hope and Lundstum it will be great if he comes good because our future looks good with these youngsters coming through and not forgetting the likes of Gibson, Naismith, Fellaini still 25 or under and Jelavic and Heitinga still only 26 the next 5 years could be unbelievable if everything goes to plan!

Sell - Yobo £1.7m, Anichebe £3.0m, Coleman £3.0m, Baxter £1.5m, Cahill £2.0m = £10.7m

In - Naismith £0 (Cahills replacement), Hoilett £5m (Colemans replacement), Pienaar £5m, Rodellga £0 (Anichebe replacement). = £10m

With change to spare and an extra person off the wages we would be able to afford the wages and have a much better squad. What do you reckon?

Mani {Ed025's Note - except for the cahill one, it seems you have it well worked out mani..

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Hoilett is too expensive for us. A lad on twitter (johnmerro1) seems to think Moyes is tracking Vladi Weiss and Tom Ince, wouldn't need to break the bank for either, and both could play on that right wing position, a position we desperately need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get Benayoun on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Cahill is worth more than 2m to some of the far east teams - due to his marketing potential - reckon there could be a bidding
war and price might go higher than 2 {Ed025's Note - my guess is that he goes on a free next year..

Agree0 Disagree0

We could cover hoiletts wage with cahill going and im pretty sure yobo was on quite abit a week?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoilett would only cost 4m

Agree0 Disagree0

Hoilett would only cost 4mil? Compensation yes, then add signing on fee, agents fees, be looking at more 7mil. Not to mention he is demanding 80k a week, which would make him our highest paid player, and if that happens then the likes of Fellaini would look for a pay rise as well, thus distorting our wage budget.

Not happening.

Hello all,

im an army officer stationed in Bielefeld Germany, on the back page of todays copy of Süddeutsche Zeitung (a national newspaper) there was a story entitled, in english, as "Sweet Deal For Toffees". The article basically claimed that Haribo (Who are based in a place called Bon, about two hours away from me) are preparing a sponsership deal with Everton. Apparently it wouldnt mean a full purchase of the club but instead would mean that Haribo would essentially fund and sponser a new stadium built on Stanley park. No real details given but they spoke to the press officer who said "It is an opportunity of particular interest that we are discussing seriously".

There has been alot of paper talk over the past three months of Haribo's desire to intensify their UK presence. Could have some truth to it.

We are apparently in talks with Rodellaga over the weekend but he is also talking to Aston Villa, Swansea and QPR.
Another two clubs abroad are having talks with him early in the week. Then he will make a decision by next friday who he joins.
Good back up in my opinion. Doesn't score buckets of goals but he is hard working and quick, better option than Anichebe who I think his time has come to move on.
He's no longer "potential" he is turning 23 soon and showing no signs of being a first team regular. If we can get 2-3 million for him we should take it.

We have apparently offered a contract to hoilett yet qpr's bid is higher than ours. I know this is quite unlikely because we can't afford his wage demands but think about it. We released 6 players and anichebe and TiVo seem to be leaving which could free up some money. However I don't want us offering sily wages and go into administration so let's just let him chose between class and money. Nill Satis Sisi Optimum.

Cahill loves Everton but with the signing of Naismith and possibly others to follow, he may see the writing on the wall and decide he doesnt want to be a super sub player. If the right opportunity presents itself he may decide to cut the cord. Hey ed I no Tony, the bomber, bellew, top bloke, and his trainers, and the guys that sponsor him,he's joining up with eddie Hearn and will be a lot more active, and hopefully will pick up a world title his talent deserves,a very humble evertonion with time for anyone who likes to talk boxing or about the blues, sat next to him in the park end at the clattenburg derby,...he's a very passionate blue,.....,at the time he was only known by avid boxing fans but not now,we've all taken him to are hearts,..........tristen {Ed025's Note - he is as blue as it gets tris, and does a lot of his training with the guys, a lot of them go to his fights..

Hey Tris, why do you sound dead sensible lately mate, are you ok fella lol

I think Cahill has 2 years left on his contract. I think he will play these next two seasons out if Everton want him and then move to oz to finish his career.
Iv'e watched the Tim Cahill DVD Unseen Journey and it's clear that he loves Everton but he loves Austrailia more and misses his family loads.
Moyes in my opinion will want Cahill at the club for his presence and influence on the new players and younger lads. Tim is a influential player in the dressing room and on the training ground and knows what is expected of Everton players under Moyes.
He will stay for the remainder of his contract and leave on a free which he deserves.

On the football side of things I think Cahill will benefit this season not having the burden off being the "match winner" ALL the time like he has had for the past few seasons we rely on him lot over the years to deliver in the big games and score goals.
Having that pressure off him and being used from the bench and managing him better (fitness, keeping him fresh) and possibly playing from a deeper position he will surprise some Everton fans who have written him off.
Steve {Ed025's Note - a lot of sense there steve, i think your spot on mate..

I highly doubt that we will buy 3 more midfeilders on top of what we already have. We've already got; Osman, Cahill, Barkley, Naismith, Gibson, Fellaini, Junior, Gueye and Rodwell.

reports from the press is that rodallega is to hold talks with club officals to organise a deal for him to come to the club on a free transfer . The only stumbberling block is wages but it looks like he will be joining everton soon . Talks have also been held with hoilett and again just a matter of wages but far more clubs are intrested in him . what do you think ed ? {Ed025's Note - i think we have a decent chance with rodallega, but hoilett will be out of our reach mate..
