Can we please lay off the eds for not updating as much as we are used to. Seriously I don't see any praise when it's updated every 5 mins on match day when they like us are entitled to watch the match without interruption.

24 and 25 are blue noses just like us don't forget.

Besides, everyone got off the pitch after a few minutes.

I was working today and I was listening to radio city sport news. It said that Rooney had asked Hibbo if he could play in his testimonial tonight. Although due to other commitments with Man U he couldn't play as they ate playing Barca. Still, that's very interesting.

What would you guys have thought if Rooney had played for us in Hibbo's testamonial? he was going to but it clashed with England game. I wouldn't have minded seeing him in a blue shirt again tbh. Toffee AL

With all these rumours of a takeover I think to myself do we really need one. To progress to the likes of CL football but at the moment the board have done a great job over the last 6 months bringing in Jelavic, Naismith and Pienaar on a permanent deal. I think we can push for a top 6 finish if we get over the first half Of the season hoodoo we have.

We dont have a first half season hoodoo

last year we had a poor team till january

the year before we played all of the top 7 teams in the first 10 games

we've just been unlucky the last few years - but thats no reason to think we will this time

we should be playing better teams though in our warm up period - I don;t know who handles this at everton but I dont think they're doing a good job with it
