Only just got home so never saw the game but I had a feeling we would. Loose didn't see 4_0 coming but I new we wouldn't get anything out the game I am not surprised one bit and I can't even be bothered watching it so I won't but my guess would be shocking defence and midfield and probably a mistake or two from Pickford.

Another frustrating day, no energy in midfield and we need a clearout of the high wages. Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Keane and Walcott all need to be moved on in my opinion and we need to be smart about who we sign.

At RB, I would bring back Kenny.
CB, Bring Gibson into the squad and sign one other to replace Keane - perhaps Ajer from Celtic?

CM is biggest need - we need far more energy. Only Gomes and possibly Gbamin in the current squad could be good enough. Possible bargain options doing really well could be Adam Maher at Utrecht or Teun Koopmeiners (22) who has captained AZ to 2nd in Eredivisie. Maybe a bargain for Ndombele if he continues to fall out of favour, or Kalvin Philips if Leeds don't come up.

RM we're short already, let alone if we get rid of Walcott. Tempted to sign Sidibe if we either keep him away from RB, or can move him on quickly for a profit. Otherwise any other options? Maybe Ryan Fraser?

This summer needs to be the one we switch from aging, bloated squad on high wages to a young hungry squad looking to get better.

Gomes was to slow in midfield, even in La Liga, he is talented but not for the Prem. Gbamin! who knows!

Gomes has been back a couple of games, give him some time to get his match sharpness back, he was out for a long time. Agree an additional CM is needed, plus RW and CB. I think DCL has made the CF position his own luckily so won’t need to buy anyone for that position and see how Kenny does on his return, if he can carry his form through that’s RB sorted. If we can sell Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin and Tosun to help with FFP and maybe reinvest for 1 player then perhaps promote from within for the other positions.

On another note I’m really confused why Sigs is being played on the wing, surely that’s Bernards natural position.

Gomes needs pacey players around him, but they have to be good footballers, not the shower we have now.

really really annoys me when pundits say the only team that we have beaten since c. a has taken who have been above us is burnley have you seen these players bet you don't even watch the matches that i watch honestly got players who are rubbish not performing sidibi not worth the buy keane pickford liability at times don't know what's happened to tom davies gylfi walcott sniderlen iwobi aswell who bought iwobi the wind can do more damage to a full back than him no ons going to buy them average players got players out on loan whose going to buy them tosun bollassi il happily wait 5 years for c. a to build his own team but today shows us blues where no where near europe league places places never mind the champions league just hope we turn up for derby next week feel sorry for fans who travelled to the bridge aswell.

Pickford did ok today I guess that’s the only positive to take from today. Holgate, Digne, Richarlison probably a six at best the rest a below performance and 3 and 4’s. Starting midfield had no pace and as one poster said a revamp of midfield is needed. Gomes plus three.

Gomes lovers aren't going to like this but he slows the game down and he is one of our best.

Gomes is a class player and needs time to get match fit. He has a lot of qualities pace is but one that is why you need the other players alongside him to have pace. Gana was the perfect partner we now need another. It’s like the back four Keane and Mina are no good as a partnership as they lack pace but when Keane played with Zouma he done well as they complemented each other. It’s all about balance and at the moment we have poor balance in the team.

was siggurdson on the pitch in the first half. cannot believe he is lining up still in our first eleven. anonymous. our ponderous midfield desperately in need of regeneration in the summer.
