Go on the internet and watch the programme by bbc3 about football's rising stars. This kid green is apparently hyped up to be a star. How the hell did we get him, when Juventus, Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham were offering him the world.
I know our youth system is regarded as one of the best, but this seems like another future masterstroke by Moyes, whats the script on this kid ed's ?? Just how good is he like ??

"the kid he will define the future of the english game" D Maradona

"to have every virtue at the youngest of ages and yet the capacity to grow that makes him world class" J Mourinho

"Green? we must be carefull patient but yes also very excited" F Capelo

"talent supremme talent is one thing but this is a gift from the Gods, Green is not Messi he may be more" P Guardiola

"the artist is not limited by age or experience he only limits himself the externals cannot! Green will show us how the game should WILL BE PLAYED" J Cryuff {Ed007's Note - Sorry but I can't comment on how good he is but the hype surrounding him is incredible (Sorry if you have all read this):

I believe he scored for the under 16s today. Can't wait to see him in the first team next season at 16 alongside Barkley

Agree1 Disagree0

Apparently big things are expected from him, already being compared to the likes of Wayne Rooney and Gascoigne, lets hope so, really nice to see the lad choose Everton over 20+ clubs that were interested.

Agree1 Disagree0

One thing that could be a problem is that he is using Everton's academy just as a stepping stone before moving on to a bigger club.
Hopefully thats not the case but going by how good he is said to be and how many clubs were after him he could go anywhere he wants to.
Hopefully (sorry about this) we improve and finish top 6 and make him believe that Everton is a club he can win things at.
Also do we have anyone else that is the same standard as Barkley and Green in our youth academy that is around the same age? If we do we could have an amazing team in a few years if they keep improving. Our future looks good and hopefully we don't get these young players stolen from us by the likes of Man City and Man Utd.

Agree2 Disagree0

That is my worry, we seem to be the one's that have a great scouting system and we seem to be the one's that develop young player's better than any other team in the prem, but with the way modern football is nowadays young kids like Rooney, Rodwell, Barkley and now this kid Green they all get surrounded by blood sucking money men (agents, sponsors, advisers, PR's, etc )
They brain wash and pamper them so much they become lost in there own world and unfortunately follow the money, who ever offers there people and the player the most money thats where they will go !

Agree3 Disagree0

Let's not get carried away with this kid though, let him develop, he's a baby and doesn't need all the pressure

Have you a link to the programme on bbc3 and are the quotes from the programme? would love to see it but cant find it anywhere cheers.
