Where is everyone getting this Drenthe is out on saturday ?? The official website says he and Straqualersui are both in the squad for saturday ?? {Ed025's Note - they are in the squad....whether they play, or not, is a different matter!..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If the new lads don't start i can see them at least getting a run out. I think the supporters our looking forward to seeing them as they both seem to be promising signings especially drenthe. Fingers crossed baines makes it as well, i can't remember the last time he didn't play for us

If the three " buyers " story turns" out to be a smoke screen, then far from relieving the pressure on the board it will be yet another lie and will serve to re-enforce the view that the time really has come for this discredit and incompitant groupe to hand control to an independent board.

Does kenwright think we are daft ?? The press release a story that we are in talks with 3 potential buyers ( just a pr stunt to keep the fans at bay for a while ) haha.... we have got used to your crap bill {Ed025's Note - he must think our heads...button up at the back..

I agree this is all b****cks! BK thinks were all tossers
Its a pr stunt to get all our hopes up. We must be
the most unlucky team in the country that we cant
get a buyer.
As for the chief exec saying no chance to an interim board. I just new he'd say that. Who else with no skills or experience in the role or lets just say in the time he has had that role. Has done nothing for the club, no investment nothing.
GOOD RIDDANCE TO HIM......
The blue don {Ed025's Note - respect to the don..

kenwright in talks with three parties. ESPN {Ed025's Note - oh really!!...then we will cancel the march hey?...not..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

The supporters have finally had enough and we need to let bill know we do not settle for second best at our club. He is a good evertonian but it is time for a change because this club has loads of potential

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - your right bez..

On newsnow everton they have a link to a article saying kenwright in talks with 3 potential buyers . What do you think ed . Please {Ed025's Note - see previous answer..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

It's nothing to get excited about. Even if meetings have taken place, the article carefully avoids saying whether they've been positive or fruitful. Kenwright's had plenty such meetings in the past, if he's to be believed. Unless the investors have the resources needed and are serious in their intentions, it doesn't amount to much.

Soccer.net.espn.com are saying that kenwright has had meetings with potential buyers this week said to be from the middle east, europe and china! You heard anything about this ed? {Ed025's Note - i think its a con mate..its an attempt by the board to appease the blue union, so they will cancel the march...good luck with that bill..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Yeh i thought so! blue union organise protest march and all of a sudden we have 3 interested buyers! pathectic. :-( {Ed025's Note - you said it mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

It all sounds like spin to me. As someone mentioned, with the protest coming up this weekend they are trying to throw a spanner in the works. I actually thought that it was a serious article, until I read the comments of a close friend of Bill Kenwright. Smacks of laziness within the communications department! {Ed025's Note - i agree pal..

Heard a rumour that Vic got injured tripping over that bag of Sh**e that he has been carrying for years.

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Surely vic has got to be sold ed after we bring in another striker. I am sure there will be interest from championship clubs

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - someone will want him..im sure...he may do well with one of the lesser lights....but not us!

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been at goodison a while now ed, surely he has had ample enough chance to prove himself, do you think he would get goals in the championship?

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - he would certainly have a better chance...the prem is out of his league..

Just heard cannon and Ball are putting a bid in to buy Everton. {Ed024's Note - correct, they felt dumb and dumber were doing a good job with the kopshites!!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry to offend you it was'nt cannon and Ball i hold my hands up i was wrong it was the chuckle Brothers. 5 Times. {Ed025's Note - the chuckle brothers..is that carroll & henderson....cos they are chuckling all the way to the bank with their contracts...lol..

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard a rumour that carroll has got a job on blackpool beach ed, they are always after new donkeys.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - thats cos hes not worth a carrot...lol..

blue union dont represent the proper everton fans we aint kopites stop the stupid march

Believable4 Unbelievable2

I see why you say that mate but are we just meant to sit here and do nothing whilst our club stagnates simply through fear of looking like Kopites? Who by the way haven't looked to shy in the transfer market since they were taken over.

I for one will be there at this protest - as long as it stays relevant and not just an excuse for clowns to riot...

Maiden {Ed024's Note - the March must be allowed to go on, fight for EFC future

where's ur goal keeper mate ?? ha
Decent team though... I would love to see...........
Howard
Neville, Jagielka, Distin, Baines
Coleman, Fellaini, Osman, Drenthe,
Cahill
Saha

Subs
Mucha,
Hibbert,
Heitinga
Rodwell
Barkley (we should use him sparingly)
Bilyaletdinov (mould him into cahill role)
Straquelursui

I would have Anichebe nowhere near the squad but moyes seems to love him !! I would understand why moyes would like him if his attitude was great and he worked hard but he doesn't !!
He cant score, can't pass, can't go past a player, doesn't use his strength, can't cross, doesn't work hard and his attitude stinks !!??
Am i the only one who thinks this ? If there is a strength from Anichebe i am missing please someone tell me ?
Paul EFC

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Massively agree on the anichebe point he is a w**k stain on the everton team. He needs to be sold or at least not play as a loan striker he cant handle it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree ! As well as them points he can't run, can't tackle, can't jump, can't head and never shoots !! I don't get it ! WHY has moyes stuck with him ? A good point here, Vaughan and Anichebe, both the same age, both out injured all the time, if i was going to keep one it would of been James Vaughan everytime ! At least he worked hard, had pace, could take player's on and when giving a run in the side he did score a few times !! I think the Anichebe situation is the strangest mystery of moyes's 10 years here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes seems to rate anichebe, but supporters seem unanimous in not liking him. He is a willing lad and would probably thrive at a championship club. If we end up with a new striker in January it might be best for all concerned if he moves on.

Bez the blue {Ed024's Note -injured now and likely to be out for six weeks

Agree0 Disagree0

Well is he not useful as the 4th choice striker? It's a diffcult job keeping a player who's not playing happy. Vic probably knows he not at prem level but he gets the odd run out when our first 3 strikers (now 2) are injured (all too often is the real problem). A really decent player is not going to accept being 4th choice for too long and he'll moan and agitiate for a move and fuel dressing room discontent.
Maybe Vic doesnt do those things and is happy with his everton position - so Moyes likes that.
Unfortunately though, it's no good having a 'easy going problem-free' 4th choice striker if he never scores, never looks like scoring and drags the whole team performance down.

I'm glad I'm not a manager

Any news on baines ed? {Ed001's Note - he is officially due back this weekend, I have yet to hear of any setbacks, so I expect to see him play.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Thats the best news ive heard with regards to everton for a while! Thanks ed! Now tell me that some rich evertonian is buying the club and also that landon donovan will be back in january :-) {Ed001's Note - that is only the official estimate, just keep your fingers crossed they weren't being optimistic! I will pretend I didn't see the other two so you can stay happy.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines is an integral part of our team, he defends well, gets forward, creates assists and slots home a few free kicks. I hope he plays because i am intrigued to see how he will link with drenthe on the left, it could be the best partnership since baines and pineaar on that wing

IF we sign a new striker in January I believe we could challenge for Top 7, if not I'm afraid it could be a 10th place finish for us, JUST MY OPINION. Our squad is even smaller and weaker.

Gp

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I feel seventh is realistic if these two new lads settle in and maybe a good cup run with hopefully a new striker in January. With the emergence of barkley, i think we can have a good season.

Nice to see a lot of people on here wishing Arteta the best of luck. Its true he forced the move but lets face it he needed a new challenge as he was gone stale at Everton. I really hope on his return to play against us he gets a great reception from all our fans. He says he will always be an Everton fan. But he wanted to play champions league football and at 29 he needed a move for this to happen. He gave Everton great service and we without doubt we got his best years. Really hope now he gets a few Spanish caps he yearns. He did not do this out of greed as he took a 10 grand pay cut for this move. 10m for a player at 29 is good business for us. He is still the best little Spaniard we know and I for 1 wish him all the best and thank him for some great memories. I really hope on his return nobody jeers him as he does not deserve that. Ed what your view and will and does he deserve a good reception from our fans? COYB. {Ed001's Note - I think he will get a mainly good reception, there are always people who erm, I don't want to use the word bitter for obvious reason but can't think of a better one right now, but there are fans of every team who can't seem to just move on and accept a player is gone. But the vast majority I am sure will give him a cheer, then get back to supporting the blues for the match. Hard to see what he has done wrong really, he was not really first choice any more, personally I think he has done Everton a favour by going. His wages were too high for a club with such a shortage of money.}
