Laughable the way every fan on this site wants us to sign Vadis, have any of you watched him this season?

I have personally, watched him several times. Looks a great prospect. Have you watched him ?

It's laughable the way people assume others are clueless and have never seen the guy play. I expect quite a few have seen him

I reckon we should bring in that kid Barkley from Sheffield Wednesday.

I've seen some bits since august and think you might be watching the wrong player coz his ability to use the pass and keep hold of the ball is something more closer to the truth. But we all have are opinions lad.

I watched Vadis against Newcastle and he was class, i really hope we get him in January.

It just makes me laugh the not one person mentioned his name until Moyes tried to sign him as a last resort. This season he has looked slow, overweight and sluggish with careless passing. Watching him in one or two Europa League games does not reflect his overall performance, there is better on the market.

'His ability to use the pass and keep hold of the ball is something more closer to the truth'. What in God's name is this supposed to mean. Is it an oxymoron cos I can't make head nor tail of it. Unless, of course, I speak a different language.

There may be better on the market but we don't have a big budget and the means to get someone of his talent for a loan then a permanent at such a low price. Also, I've seen him several times before this season and he looked a solid, and sometimes spectacular player. I think, maybe, his performances have dropped this season as he was all set for a move then it didn't happen. Maybe not the best attitude to have but he has the potential to be a top player, I think he already is a very good player. I think he needs a change of scenery to push on. Only time will tell. But I see no harm in taking him on loan to see what he can give. If Vincent Kompany says you're a top, top player you can't be that bad.

Hi blue's and ed's. Not posted for a while, heard the news that Osman has been called up too the England squad, I am delighted for Ossie, it would of been travesty if he had retired and never called into a squad, terrific player, with great technical ability, creative and hard working. It's about time, but he should of been called up 3 or 4 years ago. I think maybe the fact he is inconsistent over a full season is the reason he hasn't been called up till now but at least now he gets the recognition and appreciation he deserves.
Anyway, hopefully 3 points tomorrow, saw a stat that we have had more shots on goal than any team in the top 5 major European leagues, that's two ways too look at it, brilliantly creative or poor finishing! Lets convert some chances tomorrow against Sunderland and keep hold of 4th place!

since the derby all I've heard is this long ball story, by the way gerrard is moaning about everton being a long ball team, same goes to them when gerrard plays 40 yard balls along the park is that a long pass or a long ball , liverpool v newcastle , ugly man scores BY A LONG BALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another one obsessed with Gerrard and Liverpool. Every other post on here seems to be about them. Does it really matter what Gerrard says? I just don't understand why people care about them.

All this Derby talk needs to stop, we don't live in the past, we let our neighbours do that for us. Let's look at the present and the future and the way i see it is we have a quality team with a quality manager and we're looking good for Champions League.

kopites who I unfortunately know all asking the same question!Why has Leon osman been called up for England?....Could ask the same about Henderson & Downing! I'm all for some new faces in the England squad it's obvious the regular faces ain't doing what they should!

On his day he's a great little player, creative, scores a goal and can pick out a pass. He also works his socks off for the team and with a little more consistency I feel he could've made the squad before now. He can't do no worse than Henderson or Downing, IMO, and deserves a place in the squad after yrs of hard graft.

Well let's just wait and see coz I bet he is one of the sparks that England have been missing,hes coming from us so he will have the heart and spirit to take with him just like our other Everton players there.I just know he will do well there.

I couldn't care less about Henderson, Downing or England. But Osman should not be in the England squad for 2 reasons: 1) He is not good enough and 2) he is 31 years of age. I would rather the kids were given a go to be honest.

I just don't see the point in Hodgson picking him. A few years ago, yes, he should have been in on merit. But picking him now is just a waste of time though. He is not that good, but people on here think he is as good as Iniesta, which is just as pathetic as me having a go at him. But you can't have a bad word said against little Leon on here, can you.

Mike, he's given his all for 10+ yrs I think he at least deserves his chance to show what he can do for England. If he can reproduce some of the form displayed, particularly, in the early part of this season then he can do no worse than the previous incumbents of the CM position or Milner/Downing/ etc on the flanks.

Well said ed. There are plenty of players that should not have been anywhere near the England setup. At least Ossie is in good form, I for one hopes he plays well and proves some of his critic's wrong.

At what point has anyone said or even implied Osman is as good as Iniesta Mike? Anyway,,,,,,,,,he's better.
