We need to offload the dead wood before moyes gets any money. We have to keep the core quality of the team the baines, heitinga, fellaini arteta etc of this world if we are going to stay in the top half of the table {Ed025's Note - i would be interested to hear your opinion of the dead wood....im sure we all have our own opinions!..

13 Jul 2011 22:06:06
The only thing that is keeping us from slipping down the table is David Moyes. Kenwright is indebted to Moyes, without Moyes, every Everton fan would be after BK. I can understand the fact that he wont give us Man City money, but surely enough to buy 1 or 2 quality players (15mil would be the max) each window to add to the squad. But the fact we havent bought any significant first team player (Becks excluded) since 2009, of which was a result of the Lescott money, is ridiculous. {Ed025's Note - you said it mate..

13 Jul 2011 22:05:36
we need players what do you think we should buy ed ? {Ed025's Note - a hitman...for our board of directors..

13 Jul 2011 21:42:39
How, many fan, s think we will not , have the funds, to buy any decent player, maybe, get 1 or 2 loan signings, as we are skint {Ed025's Note - i am sitting here....with my hand in the air

13 Jul 2011 21:27:28
what is the most worrying thing at present is that clubs like sunderland spend 20k + even wolves and stoke are spending 12.k + and DM had stated he wanted to do our business early but we are dependant on Yak and Yobo goin, the problem is yobo deal is current dead because of the turkish match fixing scandal and No one is in for yak, do we have no other funds? why not swap loan deal yak for scott parker and sell or swap deal yobo here maybe for Vela ? {Ed025's Note - i like your shout, over parker & vela...but we will do ok, even if we dont sign anyone!..

13 Jul 2011 21:26:23
What some people need to understand is we would be lucky just to keep our hole squad together. We have talent not much pace on the wings but we can play some nice football too. Tams hate playing us.they know it won't be easy we have a good squad if we all fit..don't u agree ed? {Ed025's Note - i certainly do....on our day we can beat anybody....and money or no money...we will be up there at the end....and you can take that..to the bank

13 Jul 2011 20:59:24
We all know that we need a striker, we all know that we need a wide player, considering current market values, Young, Downing, Henderson; even young players with potential such as Connor Wickham, we are probably looking at upwards of £30 million for two players.

13 Jul 2011 20:35:07
We are constantly rumored for signing defenders. I believe the papers are "ASSUMING" that we don't have money and we will sell Jag, Rodwell, Heitinga, and/or Baines to raise fund. Can the blind journalists write something better? We lack fund but it doesn't mean we will sell our best defenders to buy strikers. It is very annoying to read that. The quality of the papers is getting worse. {Ed025's Note - your right!!...you only have to look at the NOTW to see the standard of british newspapers!

13 Jul 2011 20:33:50
the silence on signings is deafening. is anyone at the club going to let us know whats going on?? {Ed025's Note - i doubt it

As an evertonian born and bred, I now live in glasgow, I've read the local press and heard the rumours about Mcgeady being shipped in and Billy being shipped out and I personnally don't think it would be a good exchange billy is a far far better player than Mcgeady, Mcgeady is pacey and likes to take on defenders but please take into account I have watched him play for celtic for a few years and his final ball into the box is woefull bearing in mind this was playing for celtic against so called inferior teams in the SPL, I just cannot see him crossing a decent ball in a far superior league against far superior players.....Billy is improving game by game and just needs to get in the team more frequently to improve his alround game, DM just doesn't take a gamble anymore coz he can't afford to take a gamble with the funds he has at his disposal so on recent purchases he has bought quality so why would he consider shipping out Billy, especially for someone who would be less than mediocre and isn't setting the russian league alight.....Stay clear of mcgeady I say he wouldn't improve our squad in my opinion. your comments would be welcome on this post. {Ed025's Note - thanks a lot for your views..iv got to say...im not the biggest billy fan, but i have seen mcgeady on a number of occasions, and i agree with you, i dont think he would fit into our team...he gives the ball away too much....i hope david sets his sights a bit higher than him, maybe...long...or sturridge on loan...here,s hoping...

got message from a mate in london who is a gooner, he has stated that the Jags for arsenal rumours are spreading like wildfire, apparently Wenger is keen to sign him & a bid is likely, cant see EFC turning it down as we need the cash cos we are skint, I blame BK & I can see the reds coming in for Baines aswell cant really blame the lad if he wants to go cos it dont look good for us does it, lets face it there are clubs that finished below us have more financial clout than us, I can only see one way for us & thats down......

up the toffee's

Joe King {Ed025's Note - i cant see them going anywhere....under moysey...they have gone from obscurity....to regular england internationals.....and also my friend....the only way for us, is forward..

For those constantly crying for new signings you are like a bunch of spoilt kids in a shopping mall needing something different just for the hell of it....you normally get something that you need. Quite frankly the way the current squad is shaping I cannot find room for any player the players we have plus the crop of young talent will be more than enough. Moyes not to sell the Yak he will thrive on a second lease and I am sure he knows whats good for him after his last snub... {Ed025's Note - i really admire your optimism..

Just putting this out there to get peoples opinions.............. Evertonians have short memories it was only 3 seasons ago that the yak scored 24 goals in one season. The season after he scored 5 goals in the first 8 games then was injured for a year, when he came back in the 2009/2010 season he was unfit and needed matches which he didn't get, if you look at the stats though he scored 6 goals in 16 games that season. Last season i think something went on behind the scenes maybe his attitude in training or something ? He only got a chance in october and november last season where he started 5 games on the spin, scored one made 2 assists and got man of the match against liverpool in the goodison derby. Then when saha came back from injury the yak was back on the bench Killing his confidence and match sharpness again.
Then moyes put him out on loan to leicester, i know its only the championship but 11 goals from 19 games speaks for itself. I know he's not everyone's favourite player and i totally agree that he can be lazy but with games and a full pre season behind him for the first time in 2 years the yak will score goals
Were after a proven prem goal scorer who is not old yakubu is still 28 and can score goals, there you go We do need another striker definatly but the yak for me should be kept even if its just for one more season. We should have 4 strikers though..... the yak, beckford, saha and maybe shane long or someone in that price region. Don't know what everyone else thinks but just thought i would share
Paul EFC {Ed025's Note - paul...i respect your opinion and early on in his everton career,i thought he was great! but he seems to have developed an attitude.....everton supporters do not suffer fools gladly.....and wont take to a player, who they think is not giving 100%, we spend our hard earned cash following the blues, and anyting less than total commitment....just will not be tolerated...

That puppet Ross on talksport saying we invest every £ into the playing staff we get I will put the question to him where is the piennar and Vaughan cash ?? Try being commercial with your buisness everything sourced out kitbag matchday food efc They can't even build a shop at the end of the road without getting it wrong Puppets and phillip green is the puppet master

13 Jul 2011 16:13:48
why is it almost conpletely silent on the press front from everton at the end of the season moyes said he wanted to make early signings and yet not heard a word?? either were skint and there burying there heads in the sand or theres the other reason it could be the takeover rumours were true and maybe were going through the due dilligence stage?? {Ed025's Note - i dont think we have much money...so i think moyes is waiting for other clubs to set their stalls out in the hope of getting a player who is surplus to requirements at another club on the cheap....i dont like it...but we will have to live with it...

13 Jul 2011 09:20:51
ed wat u think of the peoples group? are u involved {Ed025's Note - no im not involved...but i can see where they are coming from....but the problem is...BK wont listen to anyone, he is a very insular person..he has the welfare of the club at heart, but now the club has out-grown him,its time for him to stand aside. there are prospective buyers out there...so i ask him now for the betterment of our beloved club....please stand down.

come on guys whats with all the doom and gloom here. ok so we have no money lets be realistic here we never have any money so there is no point in dwelling on it, remeber when we finished 4th our two main signings were tim cahill from division 2 milwall and marcus bent our team is much stronger now than it was back then. get off BK's back he is a die hard evertonian and is as frustrated as we are, the fingers need to be pointed to the board members with so much more money than bill who do nothing. the problem last season wasnt the lack of signings it was the poor form of the current players i think 4th is certainly asking too much of the boys but i think top six and a path back into europe would mean that bit more money for moyes to pull off bargain deals like he has with cahill arteta pienarr etc

ed at risk of causing murder if any half decent journalist wants to do a good report. oone man they need speak too as i have done his name is Keith Wyness former chief exexutive. I asked him who is the most influential person at everton ? bill Kenwright ? no David moyes ? no Robert earl ? no Lord Grantchester ? no.His answer staggered me he says Sir Phillip Green confirming it was actually green who fired him to replace him with Puppet Robert Elstone. Wyness had drunk a few drinks why telling me this but i truly belive he was being genuine, surely its time for our great club to be investigated. I dont want this i actually like bill but am becoming more concerned, The park end hospitality development, is the club actually up for sale or are they looking for just investment, what has robert earl brought to the club except sylvester stallone, 2 failed stadiums, The bbc report claiming everton have had 3 offers for the club. I love everton supporting our team Must come first but we also need answers.

The one player I'm personally disappointed we didn't go for was David Vaughan. Out of contract, low wages, Blackpool's key player last year.I've resorted to hoping the young players will step up big time... Gueye, Baxter, Vellios, Barkley etc...

13 Jul 2011 10:36:27
Nice to see we are finally been linked with someone who is good Scott Dann, young and British if slightly over inflated price of £12mil. Would be grreat to see interest in Shane Long actually materialise into something..... Will definately need to re-think our transfer policy if we cannot even sign Lonergan for £200k though....only competition being Leeds

13 Jul 2011 09:52:11
Lewis holtby is defo a bluenose, was interviewed a few mths ago saying that it would be a dream of his to play for everton someday Goal scoring midy playing for scalke I think. Moved to germany with his dad in the forces Check him on u tube Coyb

13 Jul 2011 08:58:30
radio city sport reporting were intrested in signing scott dann, why???? yes he is a good player but we dont need defensive cover, unless is a right or left back, we need a striker, also where do they think were getting the money from because i imagine birmingham would want at least £8m

13 Jul 2011 05:07:10
it could be the case that we have the money to spend but moyes isn't letting on he has any money at all?
it would mean he could conduct business without people watching very closely cause if he said he had lets say £30 million to spend everyone would be looking at everton to see who they are after? {Ed025's Note - 30 m.....??...with BK at the helm.......more like...30p

13 Jul 2011 02:52:20
The soon as one more player is sold moyes will become active in the transfer market. He was expecting yobo to be sold in june, thats why there has been no signings yet. Eagles from burnley will more than likely be the first signing, followed by a loan move for a striker. {Ed025's Note - we just need a lift

13 Jul 2011 02:29:27
about time yobo showed some respect and gratitude. not only is he very well paid, but when his brother was kidknapped everton moved mountains to help him, time off, and cash advance and hostage negotator and private investigator. well jo, it's pay back time, either mend your fences with moyes, or agree a move that will help the club, time to man up. p.s your remarks about playing for a competative team, now seem a bit odd if they bought there title. {Ed025's Note - well said....great post..

13 Jul 2011 00:40:03
You know the sad thing about everton is we only need 3 new players 1mid 1winger and a striker if we had the money to get them players I'm telling u we could challenge The sad thing is we ain't got the money. Every year we have to sell to buy A team like everton should not be doing that we have been a top flyt team longer than any team in english football but we still have to sell to buy it's a joke I don't want to sell anymore of r best players and just think off the players we could off bought the team we could off had I don't want to finish 8 or 7 every year and think it's ok that's the best we can do it's only everton Things have to change if this summer finishes like last year then I think every everton fan have to get on the boards backs we as a club have stopped... {Ed025's Note - great post mate...you speak for all of us i think

12 Jul 2011 22:10:02
Ok boys heres the story Nzogbia will sign for about 13 mil followed by 2 more big signings that are being worked on I dont know who the other 2 are but nzogbia is defo going to happen {Ed025's Note - lets hope so

12 Jul 2011 23:08:00
I watched a lot of n'zogbia last season. He's similar to Ashley young in his style of play and has a great shot on him Wigan's best player by a mile I hope this ones a goer as he would be a fantastic addition to the squad. {Ed025's Note - im with you there mate..

12 Jul 2011 22:51:10
Why are we posting rumours of buying players when we clearly have no money ?? We are on a downward spiral if we cannot get investment into our club...... its very worrying when there is only silence from an ineffective board..... P Lyons {Ed025's Note - you obviously...have your head screwed on...but have faith, in the messiah......we,ll do ok..
