Having watched the England U21 tonight a few things are pretty clear.

1 - Kenny definitely not ready for first team, loan Is the best thing for him at this time.

2 - DCL is not the 20 goal striker we need right now. Works hard yes, but his positional sense and anticipation need working on. Would be an impact sub at best.

3 - Dowell plays the game at a lovely pace, but unfortunately not Premiership pace. Pity because he is a very good footballer.

Yeah, I agree, none of them are good enough for us, my pick out of the three to get in our first team was actually Kenny, however he seems to have regressed over the past 12 months Not sure if the time under Sam Allardyce has effected his confidence, hopefully Wagner can get the best out of him in Germany as I hope he can come back for us. I would try and sell the other two, nothing personal, just thini they would be better off at a lower level, like when Abraham went to Villa last season.

Have to agree Gold with all you say. Sadly it is bevoming more obvious to me that DCL is a championship players as despite many first team games he just is not good enough. Being a nice lad, very hard working, giving 110% is sadly not good enough you need that x factor to be a striker in the prem.

I agree DC. I’d love to think that he could be another Sharp but the reality is that the premier league doesn’t allow that many chances. Nowadays you have to be better quicker.

Having said that, his contribution toward the end of last season was excellent apart from finishing and let’s face it, we all crave a new striker to get us 20+ goals a season. That will put us in the top six.

So you'd sell DCL and get a new striker that knocks in 20+ goals? If he gets injured then we either play Tosun Niasse or Ricky upfront. No thanks keep DCL and sell, if we can, Tosun and Niasse. Even if he's not knocking in 20+ goals DCL still provides far more to the team than any of the other two. The lads only young but he is getting better so why not wait to see how good he can actually get before cashing in its very unlikely his sale price would go down from what we could get at the moment.

Not sure that the possibility of injuries could ever be a reason not to buy a 20+ goal striker sa90. Not sure about selling DCL either. I’m just saying that going off his current performances he’s not scoring enough goals to get us into the top six.

The posts above all point towards getting another striker who can score more. Not getting rid of DCL and leaving us with Tosun and Niasse. No one said that.

Now to take his transfer value as a separate point, then I agree with you entirely that he is an ever increasing value asset which we would be mad to cash in on when there are others who we could and should sell.

Read the post again. Nowhere does it mention getting rid of DCL. By the way, he’s now been dropped in place of Abraham’s so what does that tell you.

TA I also think we need another striker to push us on, I just wouldn't sell DCL at this stage of his career.

You didn't mention selling DCL Woburn, DGold1878 did, as it was part of the thread I replied to that.
