Ok here goes. If we only bring in Gomes and Zouma then I won't be to upset. So far we have been linked with a lot of forwards, many that I had never even heard of.
My thinking is DCL a year older a years more experience and under Silva he may just be as good if not better than any of the players we are supposedly looking at.
So let's stay positive and remember how we finished last season. This team will only get better, new signings or not.

Have to disagree Woburn, I would love Zouma to be at Everton, but I certainly will be worried, if we do not land a striker that can score goals.
Calvert Lewin has come on leaps and bounds at holding the ball up, but he will never get us 20 plus goals a season.
If anything, if we do not land Zouma then we will have to see how Mina settles in, personally, we should have kept Jags until we were sure of getting Zouma.
But even last season, we dropped an unbelievable amount of points with missed chances, we created the chances, but the finishing at times were woeful, that’s why for me, a striker is a must if we want to hit the ground running next season.

That’s fine bignev but where are these 20 goal a season strikers?
We have been burnt on numerous occasions lately, getting in strikers who score lots of goals in poorer leagues, but do nothing in the Prem.
All I’m saying is DCL has now had a season in the Prem, and for most part has held his own. His contribution at the back end of last season also went a long way to getting those results.
Now if there is a 20 goal man out there and we get him then great. All I’m saying is I won’t be to upset if Brands decides to give DCL another go, and spends the money on a top right sided player.

I know Richarlison generally plays on the left but I think he should play on the right and all the money should be kept for a striker and Zouma, if we can get him.

I also think we don't really need to spend on a right sided wide player Ricky was doing fine at the end of the season and with Walcott and Lookman as backup i think we are pretty much covered. A CB should be a priority IMO that's where we are a light. If we start shifting some of the fringe players then bringing in additions would be great but I can't see that happening.
