Been away a while but wanted to just say something. This manager has his followers and his haters. But think of how bad we played last season just to grind out a few results. Some of the football was so dire. Yet he brought in 5 signings who have contributed in the main to a first positive season. Usually it takes players at least a season to gel. Even Kloppy said he was amazed at the transformation of Everton in just one season. Our problem last season was consistency. We were brilliant one week and dire the next. Gomez took a while to settle and our injuries didn't help. With a fit squad and players knowing each other, I am hoping we will now move up another gear. Likewise, I don't want lots of signings. just 2 or 3 in key weak spots. We all know those weak positions. Like Ed025 I am hoping we kick on and start climbing up that league with consistency.

{Ed025's Note - just zouma and a good striker would do me fine degsy, some dont like silva but i cant for the life of me see why, he took over an allardyce side that was at a very low ebb and is building a team which are not only good to watch but who can compete with the big boys too, if we can reproduce the form of the back end of last season on a consistent basis then europe is a distinct possibility i feel, bring it on i say mate..

Could agree more lads. After that season under Allardyce I honestly thought it would take 3-4 seasons to recover.

Good post Degsy you took a lot of sense when not having a go at me to amuse yourself.

Consistency is the holy grail of football in this league. It’s the difference between champions league and the rest. Between those with silverware and those without. One thing we can all agree on is that if we are as consistent next season as we were towards the end of last season we will have something to cheer about this coming campaign. Good post Degsy.

OH! you've just reminded me of the Allardyce season again. I thought it had been erased permanently.
Silva thankfully brought us vastly better performances and got us nearer the top 6.
His next challenge is to improve on last season. If he does i am sure we will be in with a shout of at least catching 6th.
Great post Degsy.
