My opinion we NEED to get another 4 players in before the window ends. My reckoning is a striker, winger, centre back and right back (also gueye cover if he goes) . Only a month left til kick off. These signings need to be done if players are to gel before we start.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personel (coaches etc) change but while elements of old guard remain Evertons approach to transfers and bids remains frustratingly naive. What Mr Moshri needs is advice from someone who understands and has the knowledge and experience of football to pass it on to our owner.

{Ed002's Note - Moshiri should leave well alone.}

To be honest I think its some of the posters on here who come across as naive more than anything.
Yes we had a couple of very bad seasons in the transfer market. But I would say over the last 15 years our policy has held us in a very good place.

If I think of all the players I've 'thought' we should sign who have gone on to other clubs and been awful I'd lose count. West Ham are an absolute case in point for what happens when you buy all the players that get the fans excited!

It takes time to find the right players, mainly because for the calibre of player we are after we will never be first choice. So we need to make sure that we only get the ones who really buy into us as a club.

Selling a club/ vision to a player when you have very little evidence of being able to offer European football or even trophies must be a fairly lengthy process, unless you just pay ridiculous wages which is definitely not the answer! Christ we seem to have a hard enough time convincing our own fans we are heading in the right direction let alone a 21yr old European prodigy!

Rant over.

So bill that sounds to me like your talking about Brands.

17 Jul 2019 15:55:48
Transfers have been ok so far
Out
Jags
Robinson
Kenny (loan)
Sandro (loan)
Vlasic
Browning
Garbutt (loan)
Galloway
Dowell (loan)
Lookman
sambu

Likely out:
Besic
jMac
Bolasie
Maralles
Naisse
Onerikyu (loan)
Coco

- 16 out is good. The money we received for these will have paid for Delph and Gomez with some change I’m sure.

Most of these players have needed to move for a while and frees up wages for the likes of Zouma, Kean, Pepe and Arias.

I’m hoping we get Arias once Trippier deal done

Im hopeful Gibson / Hollgate / Ellis are also given game time.

Yep Sobs, the 'likely out' bunch definitely need moving on as that's where most the big wages are as well.

Be an interesting few weeks of ins and outs.

It absolutely baffles me how before a ball has even been kicked the same old doom mongers are moaning about the lack of activity, why haven't we got our targets in earlier.
I mean why even support this club when it's all wrong, inept, can't sign anyone can't manage properly.

Give it a rest!

Moan about the things you know about. How small your seat at Goodison is, how bad the view of the pitch is anything but Ddon't moan about the side of things because you read a paper, believed it and think you're an expert.

On the contrary I think Brands is an excellent acquisition and should be allowed to carry out what he was recruited for. Ed002 is quite correct Mr Moshri should leave well alone, by that I mean he should leave the football side to those that know. I want what is best for this great Club. I shall criticise where and when I believe it is deserved and praise also in the same spirit. We all have opinions. This was just a brief return. Back on my travels but as the Californian Governer said!

But your post is based on no Intel whatsoever like others on here.
Moshiri hasn't bought anyone this window and all last summer's transfers have turned out just fine, so if any where his personal signings then good on him.

Where is this naivety you talk of? Who from the old guard are influencing bad bids this summer/ last summer?
It is your opinion, correct but it has no factual basis whatsoever.
I can only assume you believe the paper talk and criticise according to what you read.

However I will stand corrected if you can point to a signing last or this summer that Moshiri has insisted on that hasn't worked out.

Smit it would appear that some “supporters” would rather we stayed in the dark old days, than move forward with the new set up. Just be grateful we are not facing the same scenario as our Geordie friends guys, now that is sad.
On another point I will be sad to see the club move from Goodison, but can’t wait to see the new ground. Now that’s progress. Mind you there will probably be some who complain it’s pointing in the wrong direction. 😂.
