So Charlie Nicholas, a member of the old boys club, you know, the group of lads who don't know anything about football despite playing the game for a number of years, has said we strengthened in the wrong areas?
Now I criticised our transfer window a bit but really? We needed a striker, we needed a right back, we needed at least 3 midfielders and another attacker. That's the wrong positions? Blows my mind these people are paid to talk about it.
I still haven't got over Paul Merson saying Gary Rowett could've done what Pep did at Barcelona.
Clueless.

We strengthened in the right areas but failed finding a quality CB. The club did they though. I agree we needed a winger (although somebody more naturally right sided would have been better) a striker, Midfield options and a right back and we got that. We also tried to get a CB.

He is right in some ways, we needed another centre forward as well as already mentioned centre back along with right sided forward, basically repeated blue tit lol.

"I don't think he wanted to leave London". He tried to push a deal through to my ve to Everton? He might prefer London but he wanted to come to us enough to leave London. This guy makes not sense. Is he trying to make out he didn't really want to come to us or did he just not want Zaha to come to us? Seems strange that comment to me. Plus he predicted Crystal Palace will win. I'll have what he's having. I mean they could win but I think he is sleeping on Everton tbh.

If anything has come out of this some of you need to take the corks out and blinkers off. Zaha is just the latest example, the Club made one bid (ed002 says low offer but if the rumoured 52 mill is true, that is the only thing we differ on - all the money for me) , came out and said that's it. Ed002 made a few comments trying to set some straight, but alas ignored. This (and others) , is a rumour and banter site, it does not mean commonsense goes out the window. Draw today.
