Just a thought do any of you think playing Siggy a little deeper might improve his game? Have Siggy and Gomes in the middle with Gbamin holding. Iwobi and Richie out wide, and Keane up top.
So basically a 3 3 4 formation.

{Ed025's Note - deeper as in on the bench if he plays like he did on saturday woburn, he was not at the races but hes very good when on form..

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to admit Siggy was poor and deserved to be subbed, but he will come good as we know he can.

Ask any Swansea fan and they will tell you that Siggy is always slow to get going at the start of every season. So that display didn’t surprise me. He will be his usual killer self come the start of winter. I hope.

I know what you mean Ed, but his strength is his passing ability and vision. Think playing so far forward the game is just a little to quick for him, and with the pace of the front three he cut teams apart.

{Ed025's Note - its a fair point woburn mate..

Hi Ed, I echo your thoughts with GS, when on form he is the ‘bees knees’ as the saying goes but dips dramatically when not. I’m still unsure if we have seen value for the money yet? Not to far off but was hoping for more (although we’ve had a turbulent time since his arrival) what you think?

{Ed025's Note - i think he is quality when he gets a lot of the ball blu, but sometimes the game passes him by and that was the case on saturday mate..

One bad game doesn't make a bad player. He is still one of our best players and as has been said, will get up to speed.

{Ed025's Note - your right smit, lets hope he gets back on the bike against watford mate..

can always play Bernard as the 10. Competition for all places, two for every position is the aim.

13 Aug 2019 20:03:25
As some others have said Bernard is more a creator (make something happen) player. The philosophy/ aim is to have two quality for every position. I see Bernard as a No:10 well able to slot in if siggy needs a rest.

DFS,

Wouldn't argue with that. I think Bernard could do the same job that Silva has done so tremendously for Man City. Mt only worry is the goals Siggy gets and that Silva gets for Man City. Bernard still hasn't found his shooting boots for us yet.
