Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

All of our attacks come from the left hand side. We never go through the middle, we play the same formation, the same system, the same team and use the same tactics every week. Does Silva not know how to adapt to games? Because he seems obsessed with hoping his "principles" work that he's forgot that he actually has to get results.

So show of hands, or, comments rather, who truly believes Marco Silva is the right man for us. I'll start.

No, he's a slightly better Roberto Martinez and a worse Ronald Koeman.

{Ed0666's Note - you should have got Rafa when you had the chance mate. Silva is a poor mans Jose. Silva won’t be you’re manager next season.

We have new signings yet to start a match. Don't you think its a bit early fir this kind of stuff?

26 Aug 2019 09:26:33
I don't think so mate it's not as if It's Iwobi's first season in the prem. I would have played him before Schneiderlin after all Silva said he could go on the last day of the transfer window. Never mind on to the next game now.

26 Aug 2019 10:26:18
Iwobi instead of Schneiderlin? Come on mate they don't even play the same position or part of the field.
Next you'll be swapping Pickford for Tosun.
We've had this before where a manager throws all the newbies in together and hopes it works.

Let Marco bed them in and we will get back to playing how we were at the back end of the season.

26 Aug 2019 11:27:51
sign a few new players then sticks with the old team.

26 Aug 2019 15:35:58
Yes Charlie like last season. Would you prefer he does a Koeman?

26 Aug 2019 16:27:43
I think I'd rather he picked the best team we could play and used tactics that suited those players.

26 Aug 2019 16:30:42
Don't rate the manager never had, there's nothing to suggest that anything he has ever done makes him a decent manager.

26 Aug 2019 18:51:47
Yeah but we beat Arsenal and Man United that one time. Best manager ever.

{Ed025's Note - you have become very cynical in your old age swan, i tend to live in hope mate and until its proved otherwise i will stick behind the manager and the players....of course i will still have a moan when we play poorly...its my right.. :)

26 Aug 2019 21:47:29
Noticed some of that myself Smit on Iwobi, but even saw a column comment on our own News about Iwobi replacing Sigurdson. Am I missing something! A far more relevant replacement for Siggy is Bernard in my view.

26 Aug 2019 22:12:28
And moyes had us firing on all cylinders in his 2nd season. Ã’oop wait. No he didn't. Koeman and Martinez the same.
The difference being, we have then 2nd seasons.

26 Aug 2019 21:32:15
Had three games now, if the bloke is as good as some think, then it is logical surely to expect him to intregrate the new signings asap.

26 Aug 2019 21:33:43
In public, I agree with you Ed, regarding the Manager but on these boards, we should tell it how it is.

{Ed025's Note - we are all entitled to our views DFS and thats the way it should be, he has made mistakes thats true but i still believe he is the right guy to take us forward, 3 games in and trying to integrate new players there are bound to be hiccups but i think we need to be a bit understanding of how difficult that is mate..

26 Aug 2019 22:23:57
I can't help it ed. I see top managers who change things when it doesn't work. Last 2 managers have just stuck with the same thing no matter the results and it terrifies me that Silva might never change if things don't work.

{Ed025's Note - if that is the case then i could easily change my stance on things swan, but up to now i think he has done fine with what we have, with so much change in personnel its not easy to get things right from the get go so lets at least give him a bit of time mate..

27 Aug 2019 08:43:44
Does everyone remember last season? Remember our leaky defence and zonal marking?

What did Silva do. He did exactly what Swan is saying he shouldn't do. He change his system every week. He didn't change players every week but he kept to his principles, worked with the players and trained them. The result? We had the second best record for clean sheets after Man City.

This season we have started slowly offensively but I have no doubt he is working on this and will get it right but again people seem to have short memories. No one was complaining last season in the last couple of months when we were defensively solid but causing the other teams problems offensively

Give him time.

{Ed025's Note - you speak a lot of sense bw...kudos mate..

Marco has his tactics which is why players are coached, yanno, to learn them and to be a functional part of the squad. The same people moaning would do the same if we played all our signings from the first game. I'm so glad that these so called fans go on forums as it shows that even evertonians can be gobsh*tes.

26 Aug 2019 08:04:18
Always wanted RAFA Ed but we have Silva now and while not just blindly following, important I think to support the Club. I agree though, he will not be here next season.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m not sure he’ll be there in January to be honest mate

26 Aug 2019 14:41:43
How is it early? Does anyone believe he will change this system that clearly doesn't work because we are so predictable. So Delph, Kean and Iwobi start let's say, it will still be 4-2-3-1 with everything coming from the left. He's had numerous chances to switch it up but hasn't and let's be honest, never will.

I agree Ed, Rafa is a winner and a proven good manager in this league. "Oh but he managed the reds" I don't care. I want someone who is proven to be a good manager, not someone with potential, because we already did that with Martinez and Koeman. But we never learn, after Silva is sacked, expect us to go for Dyche or Eddie Howe.

{Ed0666's Note - honestly Dyche wouldn’t be a bad shout.
