Should Marco Silva go if we don't get at least 7th place this season? 8th again or lower would indicate zero improvement or a possible decline despite having more of his team than not.

Not trying to wind people up, just want an answer.

Agree0 Disagree1

I’d expect improvement. There are no league surprises other than the possibility of one of the top six slipping up. So I expect an improvement on 8th should be adequate evidence to keep him, just as anything short of that would be the opposite and justifiable cause to question his future.

We should be focussing on improvement on the pitch. If that happens the table will take care of itself.
Need to be tighter at the back, build confidence so silly errors are reduced and have a plan b.
He has to find consistency and get them to put a run together of decent performances. The more games like Bournemouth, the quicker the pressure will grow from the stands.
So i know a lot has been posted on here last week or so but we can all accept a blip. The problem comes when the blip becomes the norm.

{Ed025's Note - thats why this weekend is critical geoff, a blip is one thing but if that continues into the sheffield united game then questions will certainly be asked, we all expect a comfortable win of course but im sure the blades will have their own ideas on that and for me the first 15 minutes will be crucial, we need to get off to a positive start and get the crowd on side or it could be a a very uncomfortable afternoon mate..

Spot on ed. Which is why we need goodison rocking from first whistle. Win this and cup game then go into city full of confidence. Ya never know what will happen with their defensive injuries.

{Ed025's Note - that could end up 12 all geoff.. :)

With the player improvement over the last 2 windows I'd expect 7th to be the least expected, we can only sell a dream for so long we need at least Europe to attract a higher calibre of player, we didn't poach a guy like brands to be sitting 7th or 8th season after season, if that's all the club wanted should have got Moyes back, they took a gamble on Silva no doubt but he needs to grow a pair and drop underperforming players, cost is irrelevant we don't know if bernard in place of sig would work but could it have been any worse? We won't know unless he changes this system that makes us predictable.

You all know my views, but beginning to feel this is the beginning of the end for Silva possibly Brants to.

DC. I can understand the Silva thinking but why on earth would Brands position be in jeopardy?

ED

12 all. That would be a great day for the posters. Half congratulating the team on matching City and how good our attack was and the other half bemoaning the defensive frailties

On a more serious note I would expect an improvement on 8th providing there are no major injuries to contend with. The lack of cover at CH is an issue but we should be able to deal with it.

The important thing is for all of us to pull together rather than pulling each other apart.

{Ed025's Note - dead right mate..
