Unless we are in the bottom 3 at Christmas, I won’t be joining the ‘Silva out’ brigade.

We have changed managers far too often in the last few seasons and are still paying for it (literally) . If we turf Silva out also, what message does that send to potential future managers? It’s fair enough to say x or y could come and manage us but I’m not so certain that they would want to come. I don’t think there aren’t that many world class managers out at the moment that would manage us. We’d end up having to take a punt on another Silva type.

I’d prefer to give him time to get us playing like we did at the end of last season. The real problem I feel is in the coaching staff. We all love big Dunc but our attack hasn’t been firing on all cylinders for many years (covering 4 managers) . Is it time to look at support for him or shuffling backroom staff? It doesn’t make sense to keep buying players with such potential if we aren’t developing them or getting the best out of them.

Changing managers too often is not an excuse to keep a piss poor manager that not only isn't getting results but has a team playing like that yesterday, once coleman went off so did our formation and tactics non off the front line had a clue where they where supposed to be playing.

He wasn’t my first choice when he joined but backed him when he got the job right up until now. Anyone involved in football who can’t see that this mans got to be sacked I’d love to here there reasons why. I still believe Brands has done a great job recruitment wise but this season Marco Silva’s proved to us all that he’s well out of his depth and quite obviously can’t get his system to work. I believe the players would look more organised and play much better managerless let alone under another manager. I’ve read this morning ‘2 or 3 games to save his Everton career’ and ‘ he’s got until christmas’. If we don’t act NOW this season and all the hard work in the summer will be destroyed for another year. Surely the club and the people involved in it can see this if 90% of the fans can. He’s got to go! Not in a few games . NOW!

Agree. Finished 8th last season due to a first season manager syndrome, a fair start and flurry toward the end. The much despised Alardyce (in because nobody else wanted the job) , achieved the same position, with it could he argued fewer resources. Having thought about, I do wonder that nobody else wanting the job could have been in Silvas favour. After such (on paper) an easy start and yet achieving zilch, it would in my opinion be to late giving him till Christmas. I hope Brands is as good as I think he is and already has someone else in mind.

I agree BR19-20 that changing manager means more disruption and more squad upheaval. The main problem I see is Lukaku needs replacing. Not with potential but proven goalscoring ability . The £80 million should have gone on one player, whether we paid over the odds or not . Until our possession and attempts on goal are converted into goals we will always be vulnerable to a set piece or a breakaway as yesterday proved . Moyes believes he would've won the Premier league if he had a Lukaku in the team . That's how important a number 9 is, as Evertonian's we all know that . Brandts and Moshiri are praised and never criticised on here yet one picks the players and the other the manager.

Gary. Mentioned that below. Not so much critical of moshiri but of the people he is taking advice from. We don't know who they not do we ever see them but they obviously not working in the best interests of the football club.
Brands on the other hand is still above reproach atm. Shown he can spot a player with potential and sell on value. so fans will give him leeway for a while yet. Just need a manager who can bring the best out of the players. I hope it is Silva but if we keep struggling to get results then he will be gone sooner rather than later.

I think we are pretty much on the same page mate . Managers being replaced has to be a last resort as it's 1 step forward and 3 steps back .
