Honestly with the Arteta shouts. Have we not learned our lesson with our last 3 managers? Stop getting the young coach with potential who is not a proven winner. Who after Arteta? Cahill? Osman? Lukaku?
If we continue to want mediocrity with our managers then we can have no complaints when we get exactly that.
It's a problem with the whole club, bottlejobs with no ruthlessness or winning mentality. I hope we take that next step and employ a proven good MANAGER (not coach) who wants to win things.
Because if we end up with the same type of manager we always have, whilst other teams continue to develop, it won't be long before we find ourselves fighting it out for a top 15 finish.

My opinion on this is even great managers had to start somewhere. Porto fans probly felt the same when Jose came and they then won champions league. Same when guardiola came from Barcelona coaching staff to take charge (although he did have a quality playing staff he still had to define their style)
Arteta would be good shout as he has worked with pep and knows how to treat the top players who can be prima donnas.

We need to stick with Silva we can’t keep sacking managers and just hope they will get us top 6 there needs to be a plan and a realistic approach we have signed some good players, performances have been bad maybe cause we concede stupid goals or we’re not converting them, i think we do need to set up different at times especially with sigurdsson in a role where he is not delivering, I think we should try 2 up top and drop Siggy.
{Ed025's Note - siggy has been awful for a while to be honest metz as has a lot of our midfield, we all harp on about not scoring enough but i feel that its down to not creating enough good chances myself and thats down to the midfield misfiring, 2 up top would be my solution as well but we also need to sort out that defence mate as its shot of any confidence and unity..

I know absolutely nothing about Gallardo bar what's been said on here. What is it about him that makes you think he's the right man and the right fit, Swan? Not being funny or anything, I'm jusy genuinely curious.
Ed025, I think you're right there. We just tap it around without doing much, if you know what I mean. We are missing someone who can unlock a defence with a clinical pass out of nothing. Our forwards feed off scraps at times because half the time the final ball is piss poor.
{Ed025's Note - i have to agree BP, we cant seem to unlock a defence with a quality ball and tend to send the ball out wide where our wide men lash the ball in the middle without any quality, its very frustrating as nobody takes charge in the middle of the park or have the guile to open up the opposition mate..

Just because Arteta has worked with Pep doesn’t mean he will be a great manager. Remember Kendall and Harvey. Didn’t work when Colin stepped up. That said god what I wouldn’t give to have those two in midfield now. Add Reidy and you wouldn’t need a defence. 😂.

Plays 2 up front which is a good start, tactically leagues above anyone in south america, is a winner and will only get better.
