Swan while I agree that if we change manager (again) , that we need an experienced man in place. However whoever that is has to have a clear out of the "coaching" staff. Otherwise it's the same set up with just a different man in charge.

Agree Woburn mate experience is very benifical but at least if it was Mikel you would have someone with vast experience of our Club, the last three couldn't be more distant, just my opinion lads.
{Ed025's Note - massive gamble for me GB even though he is doing very well at city, we need someone with experience and a winning mentality, there is a lot of talk in the city about mourinho being lined up but i dont know how true that is, i dislike the guy intensely but i can see the logic in it mate..

Trouble is Ed mate we are never going to get a manager who all the fans will agree with, i agree Jose would be the most knowledgeable but its all the hassle he brings with him.

Man Utd have got OGS and he ticks those boxes . However they don't look like PL winners in fact they look atm like at best extremely mediocre .

I would love Arteta to do well here I really would, him and Cahill succeeding would be excellent. But in the same way Monk, Unsworth, Kompany etc. Using ex players is great for feeling good but is it best for winning football matches?
This is the thing and I will use Liverpool as an example. Jurgen Klopp was available and they didn't care that it was halfway through the season, they binned a manager that nearly won them the league 2 seasons before because they seized a chance to get a great manager in.
They could've got Gerrard or Hypia which would've "felt good" but they would've had nowhere near the success Klopp has had. They as a club wouldn't accept anything but the best, which is ironically enough our motto but we don't stick to it. We have enough of the old boys club still associated with the club and it's achieved nothing.
{Ed025's Note - if we do get rid of marco i would hope the new guy who comes in has a new broom mentality, get rid of all the hangers on and appoint established coaches who can change the perennial loser mentality the club seems to have swan..

And in terms of Mourinho, he is a winner which I want. My only issue is it's an extremely short term strategy as he will no doubt collapse in his 3rd season. I'm not too bothered about the style of play if it works, his Chelsea team with Costa as well as his Real Madrid team played excellent football. But I don't think we have the money to back what he would want to do to be successful. Massive risk but still less of a risk than Arteta.

Are we seriously blaming Big Dunc for our form the guy is a coach, personally think the physio or tea lady are the real root of the problem.
